🍰 Ingredients:
Cocoa powder 30g
Warm Milk 100ml (⅓ cup, 2 tablespoons)
Plain Flour 150g (1 cup)
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Sugar 150g (¾ cup)
3 Eggs
Butter softened 150g (⅔ cup)
Pistachio cream (Shop-bought) 200g (1 cup)
Crushed Pistachios a handfull
Measuring cup size - 240 ml
Baking pan 20x20 cm (8x8 inch)
Method:
Mix the Cocoa and the Milk together.
Set aside.
Put Plain Flour, Baking powder and Sugar into a bigger bowl.
Mix well.
Add the Eggs and the Butter into the same bowl.
Add the Cocoa mixture.
Now whisk at low speed for about 30 seconds.
Mix with a spoon.
Whisk again for 30 seconds.
Give a final mix.
Now Bake at 175c (350f) for about 30-35 minutes.
Poke the warm cake.
Spread the Pistachio cream generously.
Sprinkle the crushed Pistachios.
Here’s Homemade Pistachio Cream recipe :
Pistachio cream -
Pistachios 150g-200g
Butter 30g
Milk 120ml (1/2 cup)
White chocolate 150g
Boil dry pistachio nuts for about 5-7 mins
Remove from water and remove the brown skins from the nuts.
Microwave the butter, milk and the white chocolate for about 1 minute.
Mix well.
Now blend the pistachios and the chocolate mixture until you get a smooth paste.
Keep in an air tight container.
At room temperature up to a week.
