Outdoor Learning Activities at The Royal Parks' Lookout
he Royal Parks' offer a wide range of safe, secure and fun outdoor learning experiences for all ages. Led by our expert team, you and your students will get to explore the park and learn all about the environments, wildlife and heritage that surrounds you.
Activities and courses include school visits (from early years to A-level), sessions for people with physical and learning disabilities, science, geography, art and cross-curricular sessions. We also run special projects around themes including bullying and debating, and regularly offer teacher training and continuing professional development.
The LookOut Discovery Centre in Hyde Park is a unique, eco-friendly building nestled in an acre of enclosed grounds in the heart of the park. Our gardens and indoor spaces are practical all year round, whatever the weather, and our two bright and airy ‘discovery’ classrooms can host up to 30 students each. These purpose built spaces mean that students of any age can have safe access to hands-on, practical activities and become comfortable with the process of scientific enquiry.
The LookOut is fully accessible and has Disability Discrimination Act compliant features including wide paths, toilets and a fully fitted sensory room.
