We Tried the World's Best Polar Bear Cruise (Aurora Expeditions Svalbard Cruise)
#Svalbard #polarbear #arcticwildlife
We spent two weeks sailing around Svalbard, Norway, an archipelago near the North Pole, with @AuroraExpeditions. Svalbard is known for its massive amount of glaciers, stunning landscapes, and otherworldly wildlife. Before going on this Svalbard Cruise, we had heard it was difficult to see wildlife in the High Arctic, but, for us, that turned out not to be the case at all. We saw walruses, Arctic foxes, reindeer, puffins, and, most importantly, polar bears—19 of them to be exact!
Join us as we sail from Longyearbyen, the northernmost city in the world up past the 82nd parallel and explore some of Earth’s most remote corners, witness scenes that are straight out of a David Attenborough documentary (including watching two polar bears fight over a sperm whale carcass), and capture this magnificently beautiful place as it rapidly changes due to global warming.
