Motorcycle Trip to Magadan with Tenere 700. In this video series, I will show you my trip from Varna to Magadan. No fancy edition, just raw reality.
9 o'clock, it is time to stop, have one tea, go to Cafe Ana.
Even in these remote areas, without anything around,
the card that I've got, this Russian debit card, works. Perfect.
2 o'clock in the afternoon, 28 degrees, and I've got more 70 kilometers to Mogocha.
Have a look at this. It rains like a hell.
But as usual, I'm a lucky man.
I came just on time. I came inside, and the rain starts.
And where I am, it's an interesting question.
All right, let's find the road back now.
So instead of going straight on to the hotel, I decided to come and check what is with the transportation company.
And there were a few guys here, and they told me that the tire is already here.
They went to the train station to pick it up.
So I will be able to take it after half an hour.
Perfect. And if I can change it today, I can continue tomorrow.
Because see my rear? It's almost, almost gone.
Finally, finally, my tire is here.
And now I even have an address of a place where I can change it.
So let's do it.
This guy just changed my tire, and he asked nothing, nothing, just 100 rubles.
And this is just nothing, it's just 1 euro.
So I gave him 300.
Wonderful, wonderful guy.
Okay, now I have a new tire.
What a pleasure, man. What a pleasure to have a tire again.
And to know that tomorrow, tomorrow I can ride again.
Let's go to the town now.
Once again, instead of going to the hotel, I decided now to go to the local bike post club.
So to meet some local guys and see who is going where, in what direction.
So we might see each other on the road.
And it's just to say hello that I am here.
This is the place, but there is no one.
Alright.
I came here, no one, so I can go.
Go back to the hotel and relax and wait for tomorrow.
This is my third day here, and I already know where to go and what direction to take.
The town actually is not that big.
And you can easily learn the important directions.
Of course, to find the specific addresses, like the club, bike post club or something else, I'll need the GPS.
But for orientation, I am alright.
I already recognize the places.
Over there, for example, on the right hand side, there is some kind of shopping mall.
I cut my hair yesterday.
A little bit further, it's a roundabout where my hotel is.
And next to the roundabout, there is a petrol station in which I plan to fill my petrol tank now.
To be ready for tomorrow.
So tomorrow I can start immediately without even need to worry about petrol.
There is another shopping mall here on the right, and then is the fire brigade station.
This is the fire brigade.
Then it's the petrol station and the roundabout and my hotel.
Good.
Here the petrol is a little bit more expensive, 57 cents.
Here we go, my hotel.
My private spot.
Right over there.
Ok, perfect.
Good morning.
I cannot explain you how happy I feel to be on the bike again after 3 days here in this hotel.
It is 6.30 and I am ready to go.
I cannot really explain this, you will know if you travel.
You stay in one place, day or two, and you cannot wait to start.
The plan today is to reach Magocha, which is 600 km away.
It is not absolutely must.
There is one town, Chernigov, around 300 km away.
Where I believe I might find some place to sleep, but in Magocha we will have better options.
And if everything is alright, I should be able to do it without any problems.
But you never know, so let's do it.
It is 16 degrees at the moment.
So far only me on the road.
I hope that I am on the right direction.
It is too early, so there are a lot of potholes on the road.
But they have got some kind of logic.
They are usually on the left or on the right side.
Because this is the track of the big trucks where they are going and they are flat.
So it is almost nothing in the middle.
Whatever.
The traffic is here, which means that I am on the right direction.
It was raining in the last 20 minutes.
But nothing serious.
Just to make the air cleaner.
And it is nice fog everywhere.
So far it is a pleasure to ride on this road.
It is not a boring canal because of everything around.
I hope it will stay like this.
Yeah.
Nice. I really like the fog.
Alright. 9 o'clock. It is time to stop.
To have one tea.
Maybe to have another one extra.
Shirt.
Because it is a little chilly now. I have short sleeves.
Go to Cafe Ana.
Ok.
Even in these remote areas without anything around.
The card that I have got is a Russian debit card.
Works. Perfect.
15 minutes break. It is just enough.
But the price. 65 cents for a cup of coffee and a bottle of water.
This is nice. Really nice.
In this part of the world.
65 cents paid by card.
This is the 4th village that I have seen in the last 150 km.
You can see the quality of the road.
I don't know what to say.
I moved from the main road because I saw these horses here.
I don't know. For some reason they all stayed under this part of old bridge or whatever it was.
It was just interesting.
That's why I stopped.
Anyway. It will be a nice picture.
Over there on the far distance is Chernyshevsk.
Basically I came here without refilling the tank.
And at the moment I have got like 300 km.
And my reserve light is flashing from 13 km.
So I should be able to refill in Chernyshevsk.
Chernyshevsk is not a small village. It is some kind of town.
And here you can refill the tank definitely.
I saw a sign for a hotel.
So you can spend the night here.
And of course sign for restaurant.
So this is something that is good to know if you come to this area.
I will notice this also for my way back.
I may decide to stop here instead of Magocha.
But for now I will continue with my plan.
Let's see where this petrol station is.
After 100 m.
Ok. It is here.
Ok. This is the station.
I am curious to see how much petrol I am gonna put now.
After how many.
Let's see.
314 km.
I had exactly 12 liters.
Which means that I have got less than 4 liters per 100 km.
For the first 320 km.
And I think I can eat something here.
Alright. I will eat here.
Not bad place.
Empty. Absolutely empty.
This may mean two things.
That is not good.
Or it is too early for lunch.
Actually the meal is not bad at all.
This is a soup Lagman with beef and potatoes.
And the taste is good.
Ok. Fair enough.
Half of the kilometers for the day are done.
Let's do now the second half.
To Magocha.
It is hot here. Around 22-23 degrees.
This now is curvy road.
But not like this.
It is like this.
So you really need to stay on focus.
And see where you are going.
Also on some places it has big potholes.
So you cannot just look left or right.
You have to be focused on the road here.
It became 26 degrees.
Good that I did not change my T-shirt.
Now it is hot.
Brand new road.
And I really don't know what is this about.
Protect from something?
2 o'clock in the afternoon. 28 degrees.
And I have got more 70 kilometers to Magocha.
My curiosity was powerful than me.
So I actually stopped and asked why these shelters are.
Because here the season is very short.
July-August.
During the rest of the year the soil is frozen.
And these shelters actually will keep the soil frozen.
It won't get warm.
And the water won't be able to soak in.
Because if the water soaks in it will destroy the road.
That's why they have these shelters to protect it from the sun.
Magocha left.
So Magocha is not on the road.
This is the main road.
This is the road that goes to Yakutsk.
But Magocha is on the side.
So if you want to go there.
And you have to go there because there are no other options to find place to sleep.
You have to turn left from the main road.
There should be at least 3-4 hotels.
Petrol station.
I believe that the petrol station is somewhere here.
At the beginning of the town Magocha.
It should be somewhere here.
Yes, it is exactly here.
It does not look like a real petrol station.
And because I am not sure about it.
I am going to ask first the guys.
The local guys here.
Is it alright to fill the petrol here?
Actually I am going to meet a local motorcycle club.
Here in Magocha.
And I am going to ask them.
What is the situation with the petrol?
This is Magocha.
Magocha or Mogocha.
Whatever.
Magocha.
Here I will follow the main road.
Yes.
I saw this turn on the map.
One left.
And then after a few kilometers on the right hand side.
Should have some kind of administrative buildings.
And over there I have to turn left.
A little bit later I should see a Sberbank office.
And after this Sberbank office if I continue a little bit more.
I will find the club of this local guys.
Ok.
This is basically what I do every time when I reach a village or town that I need.
I just go in and look for hotels.
And this is the reason why I film this now.
To show you what exactly it is.
Ok.
Welcome to Magocha.
Traffic control. Face control.
Slowly, slowly. No rush.
Come on boy.
Administration.
Ok. So this is an administrative building.
What is this?
Administration.
Ok. So here I have to turn left.
Right. Here left.
And somewhere here I should see the office of Sberbank.
Yeah. Condition of the road is not really good.
But that's alright.
I'm from Bulgaria.
I'm used to this type of roads.
Ok. Now.
Ah. Alright. Sberbank.
Sberbank is there.
So number 6 on this street was Sberbank and the guys should be somewhere on number 12.
Which means I'll continue this way.
And they should be somewhere here.
Should be this.
Yeah. Absolutely sure that this is the place.
Clubnoje.
Have a look at this.
It rains like a hell.
But as usual I'm a lucky man.
I came just on time.
I came inside and the rain starts.
And where I am it's an interesting question.
This is the local motorcycle club.
I'll be able. It's my honor actually to come here. Visit this place.
Have my motorcycle on the safe place.
And spend the night here for free.
Wonderful guys everywhere.
When I contacted one of my friends.
He said when you go to Mogochan you definitely need to visit this club.
And he made me the contact and I came here.
And when I came I realized that there are like 3 hotels in this town.
But they are all fully booked.
So it's very good that I have made this contact.
Because now I have a place to stay.
Let me show you around.
So this is the garage.
Where they keep their motorcycles.
You can see a lot of stickers here.
From many many travelers.
I will show you one important now.
This one.
So here actually if you have any problems with the bike.
You can fix it.
They have tools everything.
Luckily for me everything is fine.
The bike is just fine.
No problems whatsoever.
But it's good to have a new tire.
Meters are mine.
So far so good.
Works absolutely brilliant.
Let me show you the top floor.
It's actually a wonderful man cave.
Man see how it rains.
It's just unbelievable.
So here they have everything.
They have sofas, table, tea, fridge.
Food in the fridge.
Everything.
And here are the beds.
I'm gonna sleep here.
Anyway I'm gonna spend the night here.
And tomorrow I will start from here.
From Mogocha.
And will ride up to this corner.
Teida.
Teinda.
Up to here.
This is 500 kilometers.
This is another town that you can spend the night.
And from there slowly I will move up to Yakutsk.
Probably spend another one day here.
In the middle.
And then go to Yakutsk.
So this is my plan now for the next 2-3 days.
Now I'm gonna relax a bit.
Eat something.
And be ready for tomorrow.
Good morning.
It was a nice place.
Yesterday arrived another one.
Russian guy Pavel.
And another girl from Greece.
Elina I believe was the name.
Anyway until we went to sleep.
Became like midnight.
But I still woke up early.
And I'm ready to go.
Today I have to do like 500 kilometers.
To Teinda.
And of course I would like to start early.
And to arrive early.
To have time to find a hotel.
And everything.
The tank is full.
I did it yesterday.
So nothing more to do early morning now.
Instead of slowly riding on my direction.
After the flooding yesterday.
You see all these stones everywhere.
Anyway 5.30am.
Even earlier than before but anyway.
It is good to be on the road again.
14 degrees.
Very thick fog.
Anyway I'm gonna ride it slowly.
Until it became clear.
1 hour and 30 minutes later.
The fog finally left.
Not completely.
But at least I can see now.
It is still 14 degrees.
It was 12.
But it's alright.
I made a good progress.
It's probably around 100 kilometers.
I just said that and the fog came back.
At least it is not that bad now.
Finally a place to get a tea.
And maybe eat something.
Maybe.
Not guaranteed.
Ah ok.
I might fill even the petrol tank.
Just will check what is the situation after that.
But at least I'm gonna have a tea.
And I'm gonna eat something.
Podorozhnik.
If it works.
But I think it works.
From 7 o'clock and now it's 7.11.
Alright.
Ah this was just excellent.
The fog rise.
The temperature rise.
And I've got as usual 4 eggs.
Bread and tea.
For 2.50 euros.
2.50 euros.
In Europe this will be only the coffee.
Man.
Fantastic.
And now here on about 60 kilometers.
There is a monument of a motorcyclist.
Who was actually been killed there.
He was shot by a rifle.
From a drunk driver.
And I'm gonna stop on this monument.
And one guy here on the parking spot.
Asked me to put one of these stickers on the space.
And I'm gonna put my sticker as well.
So let's find it. 60 kilometers they said.
It is so beautiful.
I really enjoy all of this.
You may be thinking that I want to go back home.
No, no, no. Not at all.
The more I ride, the more I want to ride.
I'm so glad that I came so far on this part of the world.
Ah. It's wonderful.
