#USARMY is very busy! Here are 5 things to know for the month of September.
Be sure to join us the first Friday of each and every month for the latest updates!
Attention!
It's September, and these are the five things you need to know.
This is it! After winning local competitions across the world,
the best squads across the Army will compete for the ultimate title of Best Squad of the Year.
This grueling competition tests the best of the best for teamwork, fitness,
tactical and technical know-how, and professionalism.
The competition takes place at Fort Liberty from 29 September through 14 October.
September is also a month of reflection.
Congress designated September 11th as Patriot Day.
We honor the memories of the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives
during the tragic events in New York City,
Checksville, Pennsylvania, and the Pentagon 23 years ago.
Those killed will never be forgotten.
The Army continues to remain vigilant in protecting our nation, both at home and abroad.
September is a reminder to all of us to reach out to our fellow soldiers, family,
friends and teammates to continue and strengthen our connections.
September is Suicide Prevention Month.
The Army emphasizes the importance of recognizing the little things we can do every day,
such as checking in on someone with a phone call or text.
That can make all the difference in your battle buddy's life.
It's National Hispanic Heritage Month.
Hispanic Americans have an honorable record of military service
dating all the way back to the American Revolutionary War,
and we are proud of their significant contributions to our Army and our nation.
Observed from September 15th through October 15th,
stay tuned as we share posts across the U.S. Army platforms
The Army continues to gain momentum in accessions
because of the recruiting enterprise transformation
and the success of the Future Soldier Preparatory Course.
In light of these improvements, the Army will resource two additional
basic combat training companies at Fort Sill
and two additional companies at Fort Leonard Wood beginning later this year.
And that's all you need to know for September.
Mask, mask.
That's it. That's the end of the video.
