Nothing screams fall quite as much as apple picking.
This simple latte is a lovely way to enjoy the seasonal flavors of apple, caramel, and cinnamon.
Begin by making a cup of strong coffee or espresso.
Today I'm using a French press.
Allow the coffee to brew and set it aside for later.
To a small pot or pitcher, add in one cup of whole milk, two teaspoons of brown sugar,
one-fourth teaspoon of cinnamon, one-eighth teaspoon of nutmeg,
one-half teaspoon of vanilla extract, one heaping tablespoon of our homemade apple butter,
one teaspoon of our homemade caramel, and a sprinkle of salt.
I will link both the caramel video and the apple butter video below.
You can totally use store-bought of either, but nothing beats homemade.
Transfer the milk mixture to the stove and warm on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.
I like to use a frother for a few seconds just to fully incorporate everything.
Remove from the heat and set aside.
Today I'm prepping the mug with caramel, but that is totally optional.
To your mug, add in one-half cup of your freshly brewed coffee
and pour over the frothy milk mixture.
Top with a generous amount of whipped cream and caramel.
This cozy recipe is one of my favorites this time of year.
Lightly sweet and creamy, bursting with gentle apple flavor.
It is autumn in a mug.
Sometimes you just need an excuse to have a delicious hug in a mug,
and a chilly fall day is a perfect excuse.
This maple brown butter latte is a seasonal must.
Begin by making a cup of strong coffee or espresso.
Set it aside for later.
Today I'm using a French press to brew my coffee.
To a small pot or pitcher, add in one tablespoon of high-quality butter.
Transfer to the stove and allow the butter to gently brown on medium-low heat
for a little over a minute, or until little brown flecks appear in the melted butter.
Remove from the heat and set it aside for later.
To a small pot or pitcher, add in one cup of whole milk,
one-half teaspoon of vanilla extract,
one-eighth teaspoon of cinnamon,
one heaping tablespoon of pure maple syrup,
and one tablespoon of our freshly browned butter.
Transfer to the stove and on medium heat, gently warm the mixture, stirring occasionally.
I like to use a frother for a few seconds to fully incorporate everything.
Once the milk mixture is nice and warm, remove from the heat.
To a large mug, add in one-half cup of your freshly brewed coffee.
Pour in your frothy milk mixture and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
This unique latte is a perfect way to embrace the shorter days
and cooler nights as summer comes to a close.
Yes, it's really good.
It's very hot.
Just try it, it's not that hot.
I'm gonna burn myself.
Tastes great, but it's hot!
