Liuteria: Traditional Violin Craftsmanship of Cremona
1 Video View·Jul 24, 2025
Cremonese violin craftsmanship is world-renowned for its meticulous, traditional methods used to create violins, violas, cellos, and contrabasses. Each luthier produces just three to six instruments per year, handcrafting over 70 wooden parts around an internal mold.
The wood is carefully chosen for its acoustic qualities, naturally seasoned, and matched to each instrument’s needs. Every step requires exceptional skill, creativity, and adaptation—making each piece truly unique. No two violins are ever the same.
