It's clear you're capable of appreciating all the benefits of an adventure bike, and I think you'll find these arguments in favor of buying a dual sport motorcycle very compelling.
Hello everyone, welcome back to the dork side.
I am the dork in the woods today.
And today we're going to talk about why you, yes you, faithful viewer, should buy a dual
sport motorcycle.
That's right everyone, I am the dork in the road and I want to be your internet riding
buddy.
And I'm better than your regular riding buddies because I'm available whenever you want and
I come with a mute button.
So please do not forget to hit that subscribe button and click the notification bell so
you know when I post awesome new content just like this.
I'm out here in the woods today in the Willamette National Forest on a rainy day enjoying my
CRF250L which, as you may know, is a dual sport motorcycle.
Dual sport motorcycles are street legal but very capable off road.
That's why I love this bike, I can take it literally anywhere.
So if you're a motorcyclist, or not a motorcyclist, if you're thinking about buying a dual sport
or a motorcycle in general, let me tell you why you need.
You need a dual sport if you don't have one.
You need a dual sport in your life.
Trust me.
You have to trust me.
I am the pope of the church of dual sport, or at least the church of 250L.
So let me tell you why you need one.
First reason.
Do you like to explore?
Have you ever looked at a road, a gravel road, off the side of the highway and thought to
yourself, I wonder where that goes?
Does that happen to you a lot?
Or even just a little?
And you're just like, man, I can't, I'm in a hurry, or I'm in my car, and I just can't
get up there.
Well, I'm telling you, on a dual sport motorcycle, there is no road that you can't explore.
There's nowhere you can't go.
Unless there's a giant tree across it, like in my last dual sport adventure video.
But there's always a way around, which is what I found.
So if you like to explore, if you want to see new places, if you want to go places that
people have not been, or there aren't many people, then you should get a dual sport.
Because it's the perfect vehicle for exploring.
I always say, it's like hiking without all that pesky walking, and a lot faster.
In fact, I have a t-shirt that says, dual sport riding, hiking a bit faster.
I'll try to put a link in.
I dig that shirt.
Anyway, so if you like to explore, you want to explore, and you want to explore quickly
and have a lot of fun while you're doing it, I would recommend a dual sport bike.
You should check into a dual sport bike.
Reason two, do you hate people?
Because I do.
Or at least, do you like being alone?
Do you like solitude?
Do you like to get out, away from the hustle and bustle, and disconnect, and be alone with
your thoughts, and really just process, and think about what's up.
Really just contemplate your life.
There is no better place to do that than in the woods, by yourself, like I am right now,
on a dual sport motorcycle.
And yeah, I'm riding quickly, but I don't have to.
You can come up here and putt around.
You can do whatever you want.
It's your bike, it's your day, and you're all by yourself.
So if you want to escape without having to pay money, because if you already own the
bike, you can go whenever you want.
You don't even need to put it in your truck.
You can just get on and go.
If solitude is your thing, or it seems appealing to you, then dual sport is a great choice.
You should think about getting one.
Which leads me to number three.
Are you spontaneous?
Are you a spontaneous person?
Are you ever just like, man, I'm bored, I want to go do something awesome?
Well, here's what's cool about having a dual sport, and why it's better than a dirt bike,
or ATV, or a myriad of other options, is if you have a wild hair, you get a wild hair,
you're sitting on your couch watching TV, Sunday morning, you're like, I want to do
something cooler than this.
You can literally go out in the garage, throw your helmet on, throw your jacket on, start
that bike up and go.
And you can ride anywhere you want, because it's a dual sport, it's street legal.
Get on the highway, it'll take you to the woods, take you to the desert, take you anywhere
you want to go.
So, if you're a spontaneous person who loves to get out and do stuff, and you want to be
ready to go at a moment's notice, no better vehicle than a dual sport, period.
I really hope this rain cover is working today, because it's really, really good.
Get that dual sport, and get out there and make it happen.
The fourth reason why you need a dual sport is versatility.
And I talk about this a lot, I talk about this in my five reasons why a dual sport is
the best first motorcycle, but it's the Swiss army knife of motorcycles.
It does, I always say, it does everything 80% as well as any other bike.
You want to go on a long highway ride?
You can do that.
You want to ride trails and go off jumps?
You can do that.
I did that just recently in a video.
You want to putt around in the woods?
You can.
You want to ride up in the snow?
It'll do that.
You want to ride to the store to pick up groceries?
You can do that too.
You want to throw it in the back of your bike and go to Utah and ride, or go to Moab and
ride Slickrock Trail?
You can do that.
You can do whatever you want.
Dual sports do it all.
You can tour on them.
They're not comfortable, but you can.
And there's a ton of accessories, and it's really easy to make it the bike you want,
do whatever you want with it.
So it's versatility.
That's the fourth reason.
Holy crap, is it raining.
And the fifth reason, the fifth and final reason why you need a dual sport motorcycle
is customizability.
Do you like to tinker and mess with stuff?
Do you like to build things and make them your own?
Do you like to customize things?
Man, a bike like this, like a 250L, you can buy all kinds of accessories.
I have this Giant Loop Diablo Pro tank bag.
It's a fantastic accessory.
They make a ton of luggage and off-road gear to put anything you want on your bike.
That's one way to customize it.
By the way, this is hail, I think.
You can save 10% by using code DORKINTHEROAD at GiantLoopMoto.com, okay?
That's one.
You want to put a new exhaust on it, put a fuel controller, new intake, make it faster,
add a bunch of horsepower, you can do that.
You want to put street tires on it, you want to put Supermoto rims and tires on it and
make it into a Supermoto, carving up the streets and jumping off curbs, you can do that.
You want to add a lot of protection and take it on some crazy gnarly trails, add a skid
plate and hand guards and engine guards and all that stuff, and just take it on the rockiest,
most technical crap ever, it'll do that too.
You can customize it any way you want.
You want to put purple fairings on it, you can put purple fairings on it.
They make clear fairings for this bike I saw the other day.
How cool is that?
So you can make it your own.
And yeah, you can do that with a lot of motorcycles, but I think the options, because of the versatility
of the Dual Sport, and just the availability of aftermarket parts, it's a really, really
great bike.
It's like a Barbie doll for grown-ups, for people who don't normally play with Barbie
dolls, because Dual Sports, like Barbie, have everything.
That's it.
That's my very compelling case for why you need a Dual Sport motorcycle.
Five reasons why you need a Dual Sport motorcycle.
So if you have questions, or you're still on the fence, you need some convincing, let
me know in the comments.
If you have a Dual Sport motorcycle, help me convince these people, write your reasons
why you should, why you bought a Dual Sport or why people should buy Dual Sports in the
comments below.

Hail.
Adventure doesn't care about the weather, and neither should you.
