Birds in the air, stones on the ground, fishes in the water, I am in God's hands.
Fairies of the storytime, come and share your stories with me.
I am listening with my ears, sitting quietly.
Today's story is about how the world began, a story full of light, beauty, and care.
Let's begin.
In the very beginning, there was nothing.
No sky, no sea, no sun or moon, just quiet and stillness.
But God was there.
With his gentle voice, he spoke into the darkness.
Let there be light.
And light appeared, soft and bright, pushing away the shadows.
God called the light day and the darkness night.
It was the first day, and it was good.
On the second day, God made the sky.
He stretched it across the world like a soft blue blanket.
The sky separated the waters below from the heavens above.
White clouds began to float gently, and a calm breeze stirred the air.
It was peaceful and lovely.
God looked at what he had made, and it was good.
Then came the third day.
God gathered the waters so that dry land could appear.
Hills rose up, rivers flowed, and fields began to grow.
God spoke, and plants and trees blossomed.
Flowers opened their petals, and fruits ripened on the branches.
The earth became colorful, green, and full of life.
And God saw that it was good.
On the fourth day, God made the sun to shine brightly in the sky.
It gave warmth and light during the day.
Then he placed the moon to softly glow at night
in scattered stars across the heavens like tiny sparkling lights.
Time began to move gently.
Day turned to night, and night back into day.
God smiled.
It was all very good.
Next came the fifth day.
God filled the oceans with fish, some tiny and darting, others big and slow.
He made dolphins leap, and whales glide through the sea.
Then he made birds to soar through the skies, chirping, flapping, and singing sweet songs.
The waters in the sky came alive, full of joy.
And God said it was good.
On the sixth day, God made animals to live on the land.
Elephants stomped through grasslands.
Rabbits hopped through meadows.
And lions rested in the shade.
Every creature, big and small, had a place.
And God saw that it was good.
Then God made something extra special.
People.
He made Adam and Eve in his own image to care for the earth and walk with him in love.
He gave them a beautiful garden to live in,
filled with trees, flowers, and gentle animals.
They could laugh, explore, and talk with God.
He loved them deeply, and they were not alone.
And God saw that it was very good.
Now everything was ready.
The sky, the land, the stars, the animals, and the people were all in place.
So on the seventh day, God rested.
Not because he was tired, but because everything was just as it should be.
The world was still and peaceful.
God looked at all he had made and was pleased.
And so, little one, the world around you was made with great care.
From the stars above to the tiniest flower.
You are part of that beautiful creation, too.
Good night, and may your dreams be filled with light, wonder, and peace.
