The Shepard Boy & the Wolf

A young shepherd boy, bored, shouted “Wolf! Wolf!” to trick the villagers. They ran to help, but there was no wolf. He did it again, and again, laughing.

One day, a real wolf came. The boy cried, “Wolf! Wolf!” but no one believed him. The wolf attacked the flock, and the boy learned his lesson: liars are never trusted, even when they tell the truth.
