CANON 70D REVIEW FOR MAKING QUALITY VIDEO!

[Music] hi everyone welcome back to another review video I'm back with another camera review this time it is the DSLR that we film all our sit down videos on on the juicy Vlog it is the Canon 70D I got such good feedback and comments from the review I did of the Canon g7x which is actually what I'm filming this on today since then I've taken the time to learn a bit more about some technical stuff to do photography so like aperture and shutter speed stuff like that so I'm a little bit more clued up but don't worry I'm still going to make this a very very easy to understand review a review for very normal people who might not really really be into photography but want to get their hands on a really decent camera and this is a really decent camera so as you may or may not know I make YouTube videos with my girlfriend Lucy we're called the juicy Vlog Vlog sit down videos challenges all sorts of stuff like that so I bought this camera primarily to film video on cuz i' heard such good things about it a lot of the big big YouTubers use this for their sit down videos for their main Channel videos so people like Zoella Alie days they both use it and Casey neistat again uses the 70D I think he's just upgraded to the 80d which is the newer version of this but for ages and ages he used the 70D so as I did last time I would like to spin reviews on their head completely and give you the verdict on what I think about this camera right now at the beginning of the video instead of at the end so let's do that now overall there is two great things about this camera number one is quality and I'm talking all around quality the quality of the photos and video that it can produce and the build qu quality this feels so nice to hold it's heavy but not too heavy it's sturdy the buttons feel nice it feels expensive you know you're holding a good decent bit of kit here it doesn't feel cheap it's not plasticky and the second thing is price now as I've got more and more into camera gear and stuff like that I do realize it is quite an expensive Hobby and yes this camera isn't cheap but I think it is a fair price for what it is it's a good price for what it is I think so I got this camera with the 18 to 55 mm to kit lens that it just comes within the box and this cost me £720 I got it from jessups and this isn't a sponsored mention of jessups or anything but I do really like jessups they're doing 12 months Finance on a 70D uh with no deposit and no interest so if that kind of thing could help you out then have a look on the jessup's website let's get into some more detail about what I love about this camera so the first thing I really like about this camera and it's been said in every review you'll ever see of the Canon 70D is the autofocus so I bought this video for bought this video I bought this camera for video and the most important thing when you're shooting video is to make sure you're in Focus there is nothing worse than filming a video or watching a video where they're not quite in Focus it's a bit blurry things keep popping in and out of focus you don't want that this camera will solve any of those issues because it has autofocus whatever you point the camera at it's going to focus on it and it's quick it's smooth it's nice and fluid so when you watch your videos back it's really nice here's a quick example of me using the autofocus in the garden here's some trees and you can see the focus pulling in and out of the trees in the foreground and the background see how smooth and nice that looks almost looks like you're watching TV and the way I'm doing that focus is actually on this touch screen here so this camera is fantastic it's got a touch screen you can touch exactly where you want the focus which is so so handy talking of the flip out screen here on the Canon 70D it's excellent it lets you see exactly what you're looking at when you're filming a video of yourself which is so so important a lot of the big dslrs don't have this at all so you set your camera up on your tripod you go to film your video and you can't see what you look like you can't tell if you're in Focus but with this you can you can always see that you're in the frame nicely check you're in Focus this is a great feature it's a simple feature and all cameras should have it I think but it is an essential feature in my opinion another thing I really like about this camera and the g7x has it as well is the Wi-Fi capability it is so so easy to use and really really handy so I was at a birthday party the other night I took the 70D along with me to take some great photos of my friends and I sat down got my phone out turned Wi-Fi on this turn Wi-Fi on that you can set it up really really quickly I'm not going to go into the details of that but it's very easy to do and before you know it photos from here are on your iPhone you can stick them through Instagram stick them through your editing app whatever you want to do and within 10 minutes you can have the photos from this the really high quality photos on Facebook so there's no wasting loads of time getting the SD card out when you get home booting up your laptop shoving in transferring all the photos it's quick it's fast it's instant it's a really really good feature so those are some of the the things I really like about the Canon 70D this is a review though so I've got to say what I don't like um it's hard to find stuff to be honest I wanted this camera for ages I had my eye on it you know when you really really want something and you save up for it and you get it and you're so pleased with it that was me with this camera I wanted it for so long and it does everything I want it to do I mean the only thing I can think of that I can put down as a bad thing about this camera it's not even a bad thing the lens it comes with is good out the box it's absolutely fine um but I am already looking to upgrade this lens to something a bit more advanced and that is mainly because I really want to get that proper proper blurry background effect on my photos and my videos and that's all to do with the aperture and this lens can do it quite well and this is only an f3.5 and that's the widest aperture it goes lets the most light in I'm going to eventually upgrade to something like an f1.8 like the Sigma 18 to 35 ml lens which you may have heard compliments this camera really really nicely yeah one day I will upgrade the lens on this but that is another great feature about the camera you can easily you just press this button here and The Lens comes off so it gives you loads and loads of opportunity for upgrade and stuff like that if you want so I don't really know what else to say it's a great camera the autofocus is brilliant the photos it takes a really really nice I'll put some in now video quality is good as you can see here everything just works kind of know how to make cameras so I hope you enjoyed this review if you did please
