GOING TO THE COSMOPOLITAN INFLUENCER AWARDS 2016!

Good afternoon, guys. In less than an hour, we're getting the train to London. Today is the day of the cos Whoa, whoa, whoa. of the Cosmopolitan Influencer Awards. We just finished work. Yeah, it's not I'm not wearing anything my bottoms. Can you Sorry, sorry, sorry. So, I'm in my work shirt, but I'm about to get ready. We're not wearing this, don't worry. I'm getting a lot more smart. I bought a brand new shirt, which is No, you can't see. It's hanging up out there, all dry. Haven't ironed it, though. We need to get ready. We've just had some lunch and we've got a um quick Skype meeting um with a company which could be exciting. Yeah. So, we're like set up here, notepad and laptop and all that company that we've been talking to for a little while on email and stuff to do with YouTube, do these videos that we've been trying to get a Skype meeting in the diary and just hasn't happened. But because we've got like 15 minutes spare, we've said, "Look, call us now and we'll talk to you now." But we do only have like 10 minutes. So, yeah. Then it's literally finish off that meeting quickly. Oh, it's a lovely day. Look at that. Look at that. I hope London is as good weather as it is here. We are so excited for tonight. Pardon? Where's my hair? I don't know, but I've got some of mine in the top of my wardrobe. Get changed, get all smart, run to the train station, then we're off to London Victoria. I don't know if you've been watching these videos. If you have, you probably know. We told you guys the thing we're going to tonight is at Kensington Palace, which is where like Princess Diana lived. I think it's where um Prince Harry lives now or something. It's like a royal posh place. H just getting ready now. As you can see, I've been baking my face with some translucent powder. Um I'll explain that in the video soon cuz some of you might be like, "What am I actually talking about?" Um I just wanted to take this moment to thank um Spectrum brushes, Spectrum Collection for sending me some of their makeup brushes. They're absolutely amazing. So, I'm not actually wearing anything. That's why I'm They're all a bit dirty cuz I've been using them loads. I do need to give them a clean, but they're these ones here. and they sent me I think it was 12 different ones and they're they're such such good brushes and there's loads of different sizes. They range from little ones like this. Actually, there's a tiny one, isn't there? Hang on, let me find that. This tiny little one. They're so good. And then there's also huge which is the biggest one. This nice big one here. They're such soft brushes. They pick up a lot of makeup, but equally when you brush it puts a lot onto your face as well. So, they're just so good. They're honestly without a doubt best brush I've ever used for my makeup. The Skype call got cancelled until Monday. Doesn't matter. Means we got more time to get ready. Got my shirt here. Got my smart black jacket there. Then I hid my bow tie down here. Yes. [Music] [Applause] Selfie bow tie. Let me show you my shoes. Now, I own a pair of shoes. They were quite expensive and I've only worn them twice. And they're for very very special occasions. I wore them at my graduation. I don't think you guys have seen them before. So, let me show you in. They come in this nice black box and they come wrapped up in this white paper. Are you ready? They're my absolute babies. They're not to everyone's taste, but I love them. I'm all ready to go. I'm going to talk you through my outfit now. These were my prom earrings. So, I got these from um Caroline Keys, I think it's called, the um prom dress shop in town in Worthing. This choker I think I actually got from Amazon. Random. Um I've been I've had a spray tan as you can probably see. So, I'm nice and bronze from my friend Anna. I've got this dress on from um Pretty Little Thing. It's like tighter on my bum and then it goes sort of more loose around my legs. I've got my Kurt Geer heels on and I've got my YSL clutch that I'll show you in a second. George is ready. Wait, let me just straighten this up. Is that good? I think you're good. Okay, we need to go. We need to go. We got to get a train like this. What the hell? Almost at the train station. It's fun walking in hills this far. We are. We We've got like less than We're about 5 minutes until the train actually leaves. No matter how many I'm always late. No matter how much time I give myself, both of us. I feel like if this is though for me cuz I was ready for Yeah, we'll probably blame each other. What? There better not be makeup on here. There's like a white. I'll be so annoyed. I mean, it's not my makeup. I last wore this on our last cruise, so it probably is your makeup. You're not getting it washed. No. You want it dry cleaned? No. I only wear it like once a year. It's disgusting. Right, we're nearly there. It's about an hour and a halfish to London. Then we're going to hop straight in an Uber to Kensington Palace. Kensington Palace. So cool. Oh my god. Lucy's just had a go at me cuz I've like we're wearing these clothes, but we still got to have like our phone our phone, wallet, and keys on us and stuff. So, I've like bunged them all in this pocket. It looks ridiculous. Apparently, I don't know why. Yeah, I know. But apparently, you're not supposed to put loads of stuff in like suit jacket pockets. So, be smart. Slick. Look, not just like B. As far as I'm concerned, pockets are for using. She's also just told me that my trousers might be a little bit short. empty. I didn't have time to buy new trousers. Okay, we don't often go to events like this, but I should have maybe put more effort in. Never mind. Right, we're here. Let's [Applause] go. Exciting news, by the way, guys. got a message from Boohoo earlier and um they've invited me um and I guess they've invited you. No, they invited me. They invited me as well. You're plus one. Um they invited me to uh London for um an evening for their um like preview of their uh spring summer 17 collection which is really cool. And that's the day before we go to Barbados. Literally like fight Barbados the day after. So it's going to be I think we should go. Yeah, we should go. Definitely. Can I actually go? No, we're definitely going. Yeah, they might be bringing events. This is like this is a really cool thing cuz it's it's like a private event. I don't know who's going to be there. Fashion bloggers and stuff like that. Okay, we've got about 10 minutes to go on the train. We're practicing our losing face in case we don't win this award. Do it. We got to be like happy for the other person. We're not going to win. We know we're not going to win anyway. This is Lucy's losing face. No, you don't. Don't ever do that. Why? That's what I'm going to be. Focus. I look really weird and red. Oh, yeah. We're here. We're at Victoria. So, now Oh, thought lost my wallet. Now, we got to quickly order an Uber and get to this place. We got like an hour, so it should be okay. I think we'll be okay. Last year it was called the Blogger Awards, but this year they've opened it up to anyone on like social media platforms basically who has some kind of a we just met the owner of GE who um manages people like Days Club, people like that. See some meet some amazing likeminded people. Yeah. And three, right? Um first of all, I just want to assure you an amazing um congratulations because actually we have 10,000 nominations um this year. 10,000. So that just gives you some idea of just the scope of these awards, but also that you really are the best of the best that you're all here this evening. Amazing video. Um, and looking out to see all these gorgeous ported people. I just have to explain my hair. So, we're running late. It sounds like taxis here. So, I told you I just had to scoot my stuff. So, that's that. It's raining. It's raining. I hope this camera's not getting too wet. So, I wanted to show you guys. I've snuck away from the main building. I hope I don't get told off cuz there was like security lights going all over here and these gates are locked and stuff. Just wanted to show you these amazing gardens cuz I don't know. We're in we're in like Kensington Palace. This whole ground is Kensington Palace. This bit's called the orangey where where the awards were. But these gardens are absolutely incredible. Nice and it just looks like a pebble. Guys, we just met Broen who won the influencer choice award for an amazing award. Thank you. She won last year as well. And congratulations. I'm going to go to work tomorrow. Wearing nails, wearing eyelashes. No, I get them all, which is amazing. Yay. We are now leaving Kensington Palace, guys. Oh my god. Oh my god. What a night. Unbelievable. That was like one of the best nights. It sounds so like cringey, but that was one of the best nights of my life. Unbelievable. Was it yours as well? So good. Like meeting everyone and the inspiration it gives you. It just Yeah. We feel so inspired now. It's like being in a room full of people that have got the same goals and dreams and ideas as you do. Like getting your phone out to video. Like you're not around people that are like, "What are they doing?" You're around people that do that as well. Like it's unbelievable. It was the only event when being on your phone Snapchatting was acceptable. Yeah. Literally. I It's crazy. And we've got these amazing goodie bags as well, which is so show them properly. We're gonna so show you these. So maybe in like the next video or something. But we've been given so many free products. We were speaking to the girls from um OGX as well, which is them the people that did my hair um and they've given us loads and loads and loads of um different products to try out as well. So I might do a video on that soon. Yeah, we're feeling so inspired. Like that room was full of like-minded people, people who are doing what we're doing. And considering the fact that we were chosen about 200 people out of 10,000 people were chosen to be in that room just then having done YouTube for one year crazy have been invited to that is just I can't even like comprehend it like I can't believe it. It's rid even just being there like for tonight it's just incredible. We got such a long walk down there by the way. My dad is kindly picking us up which is amazing as well. And as we said we weren't expecting to win. We really weren't. There are some people there with many more followers and some people who make fantastic content. Thousands. Yeah. Uh we didn't win we didn't win the award. Sorry. Hold it if but to be fair like winning the award would have been amazing but I feel like being there was more of an achievement. Perfect. Just as we walk out our lift arrives. Ladies, how you doing today? Oh, look. Let me get you a door. What's he got? What's he got? Oh my god. He's printed out. Let me spend a lot on it. Oh, what a legend. That's amazing. That's so good. How I need to get that on my Snapchat ASAP. We've made a very quick pit stop in London. We couldn't resist. Dad really wanted to take us for a drink. Um, of course. Yeah, we're going to the Royal Garden Hotel quickly for a drink, which is like one of the nicest hotels in London in my opinion. We were here, weren't we, a few years ago? We definitely were. And we we were seeing Bob Dylan play at the Royal Abaho, which is just down the road. And then his band were staying in this hotel over the road here. And we met the whole of Bob Dylan's band in this hotel like a few years ago. So, it's got good memories for me and my dad and the sound crew. So, Oh, yeah. And the sound crew. So, we're going to have a very quick drink. They do a very, very nice mjito. So, we're going to get a quick drink over there and then we'll go back home. As it's here, we're going to have a quick stop. I wish we were staying here tonight. We should have booked a night here, shouldn't we? [Music] N 10 to 3 in the morning. We just got in. Lucy's having a little sleep in the car. Finally in bed. And it's only possible stuff like that. the whole thing, whether you've got 10 subscribers or 10 million subscribers, it's only possible with people like you who enjoy watching YouTube videos.
