Good morning guys, welcome to another daily juice.
If you've been watching our videos for a while, you'll know that there's one thing in the Philippines
that we really liked. Jollibee. Jollibee. And when we got some messages, everyone was like guys,
if you're ever in Singapore, go to Jollibee. They have one there, try it out. We were like nah,
Jollibee's in the Philippines. They're like no, there's one in Singapore, there's one in London.
You guys need to travel the world, try and Jollibee. So we're making a step today on that
journey and we're trying Jollibee. So dramatic. We're trying Jollibee in Singapore. We're going
to see if it's different or similar at all. We just want to try it. To be truthful with you,
we just love Jollibee. We miss it. It's tasty. Any chance, any chance, we'll take it. Any excuse.
Before we head down there, we need a morning coffee. You're on that, right?
Who do you think you are? Before we get into the video today, we wanted to share something that
we've managed to get for you guys. It's a company we're working with at the moment called Skillshare.
They're an online community for creators, creative people with thousands of creative,
lifestyle, business and technology classes. It's an online learning community.
It's really cool. We were looking through it. Think of anything to learn or to learn more about
or a skill and it's on there. It blows my mind how many things are on there. So the premium
membership actually gives you access to unlimited courses. So think about that. There's all that
knowledge there and you've got access to all of it. We kind of wish that we knew about this a bit
earlier when we started learning how to edit, how to edit photos, video, how to film.
I always get comments asking like, how do you edit your videos? How do you edit Instagram?
Anything like that, all on there, plus a load of other things.
Yeah. We have to struggle and teach ourselves, but honestly, there's so many classes,
so many cool ones. I was looking at one earlier. There's a guy we follow on YouTube called
Yun Olsen. He's a great vlogger, really good photography on his Instagram. He has put up a
class. So immediately that caught my eye and he teaches you step-by-step how he edits his photos.
So I don't know when you're watching this video, but if you're in the first lot of people,
be very quick and click the link because the first 500 people that do so get two months premium for
free. Quick, quick, quick, stop, pause the video now. Pause and go down there.
The link is just there. We would highly recommend doing this because it's completely free. It's two
months. You can learn a lot in two months. And then after that, if you do like it and you want
to carry on, it's only $10 a month. That's like three cups of coffee.
I was going to say in England, in London, you can spend that nearly on one cup of coffee,
a fancy Christmas one or something. As you guys know, whenever we work with any company,
we only do it if it's going to bring you guys value. And these guys have been really good. And
yes, two months completely free. So if you're interested in that kind of thing, which we know
a ton of you are, definitely get down and sign up because there's only 500 spaces for this free two
months. And they've also got a, I downloaded it this morning, an Android and iPhone app.
Yes.
So you can do it on the go. Headphones on the train, on the bus, on the way to school.
All that stuff, guys.
Right. You ready for some Jollibee?
I'm so ready for some Jollibee. Like hold the morning coffee. Jollibee take-
No, no, no. We still need the morning coffee, but then we can have some chicken.
Our videos in the Philippines, you will know that our favorite fast food was
Jollibee. We're going to order a ton of stuff. I'll do a bit of a taste test
and see what the differences are. We've been told it's spicier here.
Yeah. And it's halal. There's no pork.
Yeah. And there's no pork here at all. We've also just seen,
we're just going to get Jollibee today, but we have also just seen lechon.
But this video is about Jollibee. So we're going to have to sleep with this.
We're in people's way now.
The queue here is pretty big.
We've heard the one in London is really, really busy. The queue.
I might just take this on the flight for me.
That's just the boxes.
No, I think there's stuff in there.
Chicken box.
So when we last had Jollibee in the Philippines, we ordered a spaghetti.
That is so nice. The crispy chicken, spicy.
Oh my God, that's so nice.
Getting that.
Aloha burger.
This tastes like a school canteen cheeseburger and a float drink.
And juice, yeah, and juice.
So we're going to copy some of that. I think today we're going to get the spaghetti.
Yeah.
Which we haven't tried before, the mango peach pie.
If they do it. I'm guessing they do the same thing.
I hope so. We're hoping the menu is similar enough to what we know.
Because after the last video we did in Waterfront Duster,
everyone was like, why didn't you get the mango peach pie?
Apparently it's like the best thing.
Price-wise, it's still cheap compared to places here in Singapore,
but it's definitely more expensive in the Philippines.
I've also just spotted that they do mashed potato here.
I don't remember seeing that in the Philippines.
Let's try that.
Let's try that. Okay, cool.
I just grabbed a seat right by the counter and Georgie's going to order.
Before we tuck in, let me talk you through what we ordered.
They didn't have the peach mango pie, by the way.
What?
Don't do it here.
Oh no.
No, I know.
However, we do have some mashed potato.
Oh, look how small it is.
I know.
Some classic rice, obviously.
Whoa, this is big.
What is it?
I think this is the...
Oh, is that the burger?
That's the burger?
I thought that was rice.
How funny.
This is a chicken burger.
Oh, nice.
Which we didn't have before.
Oh, nice.
Classic Jollibee spaghetti.
I feel like the boxes are different, the packaging's different.
It feels like it's more shiny.
I think it was like paper, like cardboard before.
Yeah.
Different packaging in Singapore.
Okay.
The fries come in a bag.
Lovely.
That's a big portion.
Did you get large?
Yeah, I got large, yeah.
And a two-piece chicken.
Lovely.
Good choices, well done.
Thank you very much.
Now, the only burger we've had from Jollibee was the Aloha burger.
Everyone was like, why did you try that?
You have to try the original burger, which is what we've got.
We've also got the chicken today.
It's good, actually.
Yeah.
It's like an authentic thing for us.
It's more that it's something we do when we eat.
And like, every food, we do it as like, oh, that sounds nice, kind of thing.
Yeah, it's a compliment.
Yeah, exactly.
Cool.
So, inside is...
Loads of lettuce.
Where's the chicken at?
And then some chicken inside there.
There's so much lettuce compared to chicken.
And I remember the buns felt really soggy in Borders Princess.
This is a little bit soggy, but not as bad.
I think the buns are steamed.
Okay.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Wow.
Yeah, it's gone now.
You like smeared...
That is so nice.
Is it?
That's like...
It's like a McDonald's chicken mayo, but nicer.
The chicken's so much nicer than McDonald's.
Is the chicken...
Does the chicken taste similar to what we had in the Philippines?
Yeah, similar.
Really like this.
This is really nice.
And the lettuce is fresh.
Oh, I want more already.
The perfect complement for chicken is chips.
Oh, let me just get in there and...
Let's try these chips, see if they're different.
They do give you gravy.
In the chicken.
Imagine that.
No Jollibee without gravy.
The chips are different.
Why?
They look paler in colour.
The flavour's like more intense.
In the UK, these taste like Burger King fries.
I was just about to say that.
They've got some sort of coating on them.
They're still good.
I don't like them as much as the other ones in the Philippines.
No, I think I prefer the Philippines ones.
Right, let's try this burger then.
That is good.
Isn't it?
I think the chicken is a bit different.
It's darker meat.
Oh yeah.
See the meat?
It looks slightly darker than what we had in Cebu.
We've had Jollibee like five times now, is it?
Time to smash.
It's like a little bit of gravy on top.
And I'm guessing this goes with the chicken, maybe?
It's like an add-on.
You pay like...
50 cents.
50 cents for that.
How much was it, by the way?
Was it about 20 dollars?
Singapore dollars?
Yep.
Which is about...
Is it 12 pounds, maybe?
Just under 12 pounds?
Much more expensive than the Philippines.
Three times more.
Wow.
Four times more.
But then we've got different foods,
but it's not a direct comparison.
Yeah, but we got a similar amount of food last time.
Really nice.
Is it?
Creamy?
Yeah, it doesn't taste like smash.
Like it doesn't taste instant.
It probably will be, but it tastes kind of like...
I'm gonna try it with some chicken.
So this is our favorite thing about Jollibee in the Philippines.
The two-piece chicken.
Looks like different meat again.
It does.
It definitely looks more sort of pink.
Pink and dark.
Try a bit with that.
And they didn't give us rice with the chicken.
That might have been me not ordering a meal, though.
Tastes different.
Is it?
Did you not get spicy?
No, I got normal.
Oh, that's why.
I've only ever tried spicy before.
It tastes really nice.
It tastes similar to KFC chicken.
The meat's nice and juicy.
The coating's a little bit chewier and tougher.
It's not as crispy, as I remember it.
It's really nice.
But like you said, it's definitely darker meat.
You can see.
Yeah.
It is good meat, though.
Good flavor.
Skin-dipped in gravy.
My favorite.
Is the gravy the same?
Gravy's the same.
That skin's definitely chewier.
Really?
It doesn't like crunch as much.
It was really crispy when we last had it in Cebu, wasn't it?
Straight in with the mash.
Okay, guys, tell us in the comments,
do you have mashed potato on the Jollibee menu in the Philippines?
Because I don't remember seeing it.
I don't.
I don't remember it being an option to add it on.
We could be wrong.
So please do let us know in the comments.
That's so good.
We missed mashed potato.
Mashed potato is so common in England, where we're from.
We have it with like sausages and gravy.
Oh, don't.
Bangers and mash, we call it.
Guy next to me's got sausage and mash on the line.
I should get a little bit and have it with this.
Okay.
See, this looks crispy, but you reckon it's not as crispy?
Well, try this bit, because this bit wasn't.
Okay.
Oh, I can see already.
It's like...
Kind of chewy.
Yeah.
Maybe it's been sat out.
I don't know.
It's different.
You're right.
I'm going to try this bit,
because it could just be a different bit, you know what I mean?
See, that looks whiter, that chicken meat.
Okay.
It's a bit drier.
Now, that could be because they've left it out longer, or...
I remember in the Philippines, it was juicier, and the skin was really crispy.
The skin's definitely softer, and the chicken is slightly more dry.
Remember we got told last time that McDonald's chicken is not as good,
so maybe that tastes more like McDonald's in the Philippines?
Exactly.
Right, it's time for the star of the show.
The rice.
We thought this was rice, but it's a burger.
If you guys are regular viewers of the channel, you will know how much I love a burger.
Really small.
This is like a McDonald's cheeseburger, but I think it's smaller than that.
What's it called?
A Yumburger.
So this is like...
Oh, it's got like...
I don't know what this sauce is.
Open up.
It's tiny.
So it's quite small.
It's really small.
But it's cheap.
I think this is cheese.
Let us know what the sauce is in the comments.
Let us know, because it might be mayo.
I don't know.
I think it's mayonnaise.
That is good.
That is tasty.
This is flooded with sauce.
Oh my god.
Whoa, wait.
Whoa.
The sauce is like falling out of this.
But it doesn't look like mayo, because it's not white.
The meat tastes exactly the same as in the Philippines.
The burger meat that we had before.
But it's a different burger.
Oh, did you see that?
No.
It flew everywhere.
Whoa, okay.
That looks different.
Oh, it does.
So where is the little cubed up bits of hot dog?
What?
There was little bits of round hot dog before, wasn't there?
Was there?
Do you remember?
Like, it looked like chorizo.
We thought it was chorizo, but it was hot dog.
I remember the cheese had the mayo before.
It definitely looks different.
Look, look, look.
See up there?
There's bits of hot dog in it.
But it's not in this.
Okay, interesting.
We now know that this is made with banana ketchup and not tomato.
That's why it's much sweeter.
To cater to the Filipino taste buds.
Or Singapore.
Yeah, so for this, we found this really sweet.
Because we weren't used to it.
Very sweet.
It tastes like, you know, like thin spaghetti.
Or like spaghetti poops with tomatoey sauce.
That kind of taste.
I think it tastes a bit nicer because the cheese is all melted into it.
Last time, it was a bit more like a separate in there.
And it hadn't all like mixed in.
This is actually quite nice this time.
It's probably a bit too sweet for me, if I'm honest.
But it seems very popular.
Like a lot of people here do get the spaghetti.
It's really unusual for us to get like fast food spaghetti.
Because you don't normally get like pasta fast food.
Like McDonald's would never do spaghetti.
But actually, I think they have done spaghetti.
But we've never had it.
Is that a hoax?
I don't know.
I feel like I've seen McSpaghetti somewhere.
In the Philippines?
Really?
Yeah.
Nah.
Yeah, they have it.
I don't think they do.
God, we've seen it.
Have we?
Yes, I know they do.
Go for it.
I've been following you every day.
Oh, bless you, mate.
Oh, thanks so much.
Yeah, yeah.
Go for it.
OK, cool.
Selfie time.
OK, we've cleared the rest of the table.
All the other food is done.
It is time now.
Why are you being so dramatic?
I've already tried it.
I don't know, I just wanted to be dramatic.
It is time now for me to try this spaghetti.
Like last time.
I can't remember if I tried it in the last video, actually.
You did.
You loved it.
You were like so nice.
OK, so let's get in there.
I can't remember what it tasted like before.
That's good.
Well, it's not really good because we're supposed to be comparing it.
I can't eat spaghetti in public.
There's like loads of people behind watching.
There's a big, actually quite big queue.
We've got a slight audience here, but that's all right.
OK, ready?
Oh, this is why you can't eat it in public.
Not sure.
I think I said it last time.
There's something...
It's nice, but...
It's banana ketchup.
There's something about it that I'm not that keen on.
It's a bit sweet.
Maybe it's that.
It is very, very sweet.
To us, spaghetti is not sweet at all.
It's literally tomatoey, cheesy, very savoury.
I'm now going to try this Sprite.
Really?
How does it compare?
The Sprite is the same all around the world, I think.
So, my verdict.
Do I prefer Singapore Jollibee or Philippines Jollibee?
Now, I'm quite aware that I'm currently sat in Singapore
with a lot of people from Singapore around me.
I prefer the Philippines.
I do.
The chicken was crispier.
The chicken was...
It was also juicier.
The fries were better.
And they do mango peach pie.
I don't do mango peach pie here.
We need to get it in January.
We need to find it in January when we're back in Philippines again.
Lucy, your verdict, please.
Do I also prefer the Philippines?
Right, yeah.
Singapore, yeah, definitely the Singapore.
Yeah, definitely Philippines.
I definitely prefer the Philippines chicken.
It's so much crispier.
I prefer the flavour.
The gravy's the same.
The spaghetti tastes the same.
The chips, I don't like that much here.
But I love it in the Philippines.
Although I do like the fact they do mash potato.
But they might do it.
Because I don't know.
We need to see if we can get that.
I don't think they do.
But I'm sure you guys will tell us in the comments if we're wrong.
Yeah, and I also prefer the price in the Philippines.
It's definitely much cheaper.
Hundred percent.
Burger-wise, I love the chicken burger here.
Do they do the chicken burger in the Philippines?
I didn't see that.
Oh, maybe not, actually.
I could have definitely ordered that.
Yeah, I feel like they do that.
No, I don't think they do.
So I like the variation here and the different stuff.
Basically on a mission to try Jollibee all over the world.
So if you know of any other countries that Jollibee is in, let us know.
If you want to sponsor us, feel free.
Thanks for watching this video, guys.
We hope you enjoyed seeing us try Jollibee in a new country.
Let us know in the comments if we were right or wrong with some things.
And please tell me what that sauce was in that burger.
Because I have no idea.
It looked like mayo, but it was more pink.
If you're new to the channel, please think up.
You don't have to say them now.
Que tal por seo, Marie?
Okay.
Bye.
