Is this the best budget waterman
fountain pen? Hello everyone. This is
Ahmed Dant. Today in this video I'm
going to
unbox and take a look at the best budget
waterman fountain I was able to find.
And uh it's it came like this. But
there's another like you know uh box on
top of it which is right here. And uh
according to the website this is made in
France and all handmade. And uh they say
it's metal, but uh we're going to take a
look how it feels. Now, when I noticed
online, uh usually Waterman fountain
pens are somewhere between $100 to $300,
but this one is selling for like $25 or
even sometimes $20. So, I got curious
and I wanted to purchase this to see how
it looks and what's the like, you know,
why it's so budget friendly. So, let's
open it up and see what we have here.
And I believe this is a red color.
So, let's put it aside here. And here we
have the pen. And I'm just going to
remove it. And I think there should be a
cartridge somewhere. I don't think
there's a cartridge included already.
So, let's just quickly take a look. And
you can see that there's like, you know,
a brochure or manual. And the cartridge
is right here. So, I'm just going to
remove this. And I'm going to
put it aside here. And let's just keep
it there. Now, when I'm holding it, it's
extremely lightweight. So, I'm not sure
how can this be metal. But when I'm
touching it, it feels like a metal
because it it is cold to touch. So, most
likely this is metal, but somehow it's
very lightweight and it's a very
good-look pen. There's no doubt. But I'm
not sure how can this be like $25. And
other Waterman fountain pens are like
$100 to $300. And you can see that
there's the Waterman logo right uh
there. And let's open it up. And you can
see that uh in the nib. And uh we're
going to try to install cartage in here.
And uh let me see if it works.
So
when I slide this in, it should like you
know break the
uh covering and the ink should start
flowing. But let me see if that works.
Okay. So I I need to put slight pressure
and there should be like you know little
bit click or some kind of noise.
Okay, I heard something. So, I have a
feeling that, you know, this is uh all
set and I'm just going to close it. And
I don't think it's going to start
writing right away because it has to go
through the cycle of coming to the
point. So, I'm just going to, you know,
wait uh a little bit here. But let's
just try it anyway.
Oh, that's incredible.
I didn't expect this to write right
away. So, I'm just really shocked that
the ink came through so fast
and starts writing.
So, let's see how is the feeling.
Hello. Hi.
The writing is very smooth. And this
is.5 uh
ink or 0.5 uh nib. And let's take a look
here.
So, there's no complaint there when I'm
writing it. And it's very nice looking
pen. And the one big advantage is that
if you're like, you know, carrying it
every day, if you lose it, it's fine.
It's not really expensive. And
it's very uh nice looking.
Uh if you in the if you finish the ink
then I saw the cartage is like you know
selling for like $10 Canadian so it's
not that uh expensive but I have a good
feeling this is going to last really a
long time and there's a different
feeling when you're writing with a
fountain I mean with a fountain pen uh
instead of like you know ballpoint pen
or roller ball pen. So definitely this
is
a nice writing instrument and I'm happy
with the product and
for the price I can say that you know
you're not going to go wrong. So there's
no way like you know you can spend 20
$25 Canadian on this and you can go
wrong. So definitely this is a good
product to have or to uh even give
someone as a gift.
So, thank you for watching and I'll see
you in the next video.
