Good morning guys and good morning Lucy. Good morning guys. We've already said good morning to each other really in real life. We woke up here this morning, the hotel is called Casa Velas. Casa Velas, really nice hotel here in Mariveles. Yes, near Bataan. In Bataan. Yeah, near it. Okay, lovely hotel room here. They sorted us out last night. Thanks so much to those guys. Gave us a delicious breakfast this morning and dinner last night. Very, very good to us. Today we are off to a seafood restaurant. We're very excited about this because apparently this area is known for its seafood. Someone said it was the seafood capital of the, no, I think it was lobster, maybe the lobster capital of the Philippines. So we're going to see if we can get our hands on a lobster today. Checking out this place now. We're going to on our plan for the next few days. It is Thursday of holy week. Oh, thank you very much. So you guys told us in the comments that everything closes down. Apparently there's even some power outages, malls closed, shops closed, restaurants closed. So we're going to have to navigate around that, see what happens. Welcome to the vlog. So it turns out I filmed this entire segment in slow motion, which isn't ideal. But instead of getting you through 20 minutes of slow motion, I thought instead I'd try and explain roughly what I was saying. So I was telling you the restaurant we've come to, uh, is called Tapungs and it's in Mariveles. Um, I'm laughing about something here. I'm not too sure. It's so funny. I don't know. Maybe the guy behind me. No. Okay. I'm telling you that we're right on the seafront and that the fish is freshly, uh, got from the market each day. Uh, and that they've ordered everything for us, uh, for us to try lots of different food. Uh, we're very excited to eat it. I think that's about it. And now let's make some sauce. Gone for a banana shake, which is exactly what I need. I think the car said it was 35 degrees today, which is hot, but we are getting a nice ocean breeze and a little bit of breeze from this fan as well. Try this. Delicious. We always ask for no sugar in these kinds of drinks because it never needs it. Perfectly sweet enough. Curry curry? Seafood curry curry. With peanuts? Yeah, with peanuts. Nice, so close. Yeah, grilled squid. Grilled squid. Grilled squid with, uh? Stuffed. With, uh, inside this, uh, onion, tomato, and chili. Chili? Wow. And what kind of fish is that? Tuna belly. Tuna belly. Nice. We're going to fight over that. Thank you. Really nice flavor. It's nice, uh, quite got quite garlicky, a nice kick of the chili as well. It's really good. Did you get a bit chili in your throat there? Yeah. Delicious. I want to try this because this is bulalo, which I haven't haven't actually had before. Should I serve you some? Yes, please. We've got nice broth here. Is it beef? Yeah. Nice. Beef, some nice veggies, sweet corn, beans. People here are so friendly. They've bought out a ton of food for us. I'm trying this for the very first time. Bulalo soup, which I've never ever had. A whole, whole piece of sweet corn here. Let's try this. I've seen comments of people telling us we should try this for a long time. Oh, that's so good. So well balanced. It's not too salty or too sweet. Really good flavor. Really fresh. It's got a nice beefy flavor. Nice vegetables in it. Oh, no. Spilled it. Yeah. Delicious. It's really spicy. It's really hot. How's the food, guys? Oh, so good. Delicious. I really love the bulalo. It reminds me of my mom's soup. Oh, really? Nice. Curry is phenomenal. Actually, I haven't had any of that yet. I need to get in there. Whoa. Look at that. Thank you. The healthy thing can be forgotten just for now, guys. So we now have been presented with a delicious looking, delicious smelling dessert. You know, I've got a sweet tooth. I do like dessert. I try and refrain from it most of the time, but today I'm not going to. This is a turon. There's banana inside. Actually, let's just try the ice cream. What ice cream is this? Nice strawberry ice cream. Chocolate sauce. Oh, you hear that? Nice and crunchy. Perfectly fried. Get a bit of the chocolate sauce. Oh, delicious. Did you hear that? It's like a fried donut. That's our intro music. Enjoy, guys. That is absolutely delicious. I'm not going to hold this. You guys need to try it. A couple of Jordi's absolute favourite foods are chocolate and banana, so I think he's in heaven right now. At least it's small, so it's less calories. Yeah, exactly. I like it. We're sharing it. So good. Really good. Thumbs up from Nelly. Now I've had some ice cream with our cutlery. We have done a good job at all this incredible food. Turn right. We've been on the road for a couple of hours now. And to be fair, we were warned of this. It is Thursday. Holy week. We stopped, as you guys know, our usual practice on road trips is to stop at a Starbucks. We wanted to stop for a coffee on the road here. Do you know where Starbucks is? Starbucks? Starbucks. Starbucks coffee? No. No? Nothing on the mall? Only supermarket. So it looks like we may not be able to get coffee, but we're going to swap drivers now. Anyway, we need a toilet. Do you think we can? Yeah, I'm sure we can use the toilet, but we've been having a great ride. As you saw, the sunset over the mountains, absolutely stunning scenery on our journey here. But I thought the sun was already set. Why is it really light outside still? It's just that nice kind of golden lighting. But there's no traffic on the roads. We've been making incredibly good progress. The roads are insanely quiet, almost a bit eerie. It's a bit dark in here. Our lighting man in the back is going to help. Lighting please, crew. Thank you. And three, two, one, action. All right, guys, we've just stopped off at Starbucks. We managed to get ourselves a little coffee. And instead of getting the usual cinnamon buns, which we have another name for, we have gone for this, which is a power mix. Power. Which is comprised of almonds, milk, chocolate, macadamias, cranberries, flame raisins, pistachio kernels, and seeds. Lucy and I actually decided to share a coffee because we had to use one of Starbucks disposable cups with plastic lids. So we halved down our waste today. Our coffee cups are at the bottom of our cases. About an hour left until we reach our destination. Going to hit the road. The traffic's good. We're having a good time. Fun road trip. Great. Traffic's good. There's none of it. The only thing is we lost Nelly at some point. Yeah. I haven't seen Nelly for a while. Philippine highways are freaking amazing. So smooth. So smooth. Way better than Germany. Really good. Quite as good as Austria. Better than America. Not quite as good as Germany. Interstates are rougher. Ah, I found Nelly. And the Autobahn is rougher. Hey Nelly.
