Jude wasn't paying attention and she ran right into our City Select stroller and we happened to be filming right as it happened. Although she got a little hurt, the girls ended up having a great time at the NC State Fair seeing the chickens, goats and other animals. It's great that they get to roam and experience some of the North Carolina Agriculture that we so often miss. I was pretty surprised pregnant momma, Danielle lasted so long! She really loves taking family trips to the fair.
Alright, well we're taking the day, or left the kids out of school today because the state
fair is here and we're not going on the weekend, it is too crazy here already, it's a Monday
morning and it's crazy here so we're definitely not doing that with these kids.
So didn't take them to school, going to enjoy the morning with them and the afternoon.
We're at the fair.
And Tyler, oh my goodness.
Look at your pants.
Why did you do that?
What did you do to your fingers?
When did you do that?
In the car.
Tyler, it's all over your face and your hair.
Sorry.
Well, Tyler painted her fingernails in the car.
Sorry.
Let me see if you did at least a good job.
They're okay.
They're not too messy.
Your pants are though.
So here's something awesome that we didn't know, or should have known maybe from last
year, I don't know.
I just didn't realize it.
Children 5 and under are free.
That means we only had to pay for us, which is fantastic.
Because it still costs a lot of money.
But Danielle totally embarrassed me.
She asked the person if we get ride tickets at the entrance.
Anyone who knows about the state fair knows you get ride tickets inside.
It's really dark.
She doesn't even look like a state fair noob, I've been here my whole life.
Danielle just made me look so silly in front of all those people.
And I'm totally kidding by the way, so y'all don't think I'm just ridiculing my wife.
Alright, so what's our first plan of action, Mom?
Let's walk through this pretty flower garden.
Yeah, let's go down to the uh...
They have like this pretty garden with all kinds of flowers and different displays for
yeah, something.
So we're going to go there.
We don't usually get to do that because usually we come later in the day and then we kind
of rush around.
We're not as early as I wanted to be I think today, but you know what, the kids are all
so far so good.
So we'll be able to...
I packed their lunches so we could save money.
I packed them snacks so we don't have to buy them any snacks.
So we should be able to just enjoy our day here, have lunch here, and really have a good
time.
Right, Tyler?
You going to have a good time?
Are you going to have a good time, Elena?
Let's go in here.
We're going to go look at the flowers.
Jude is eating ketchup, like straight up just dipping her finger in it and eating it.
That's my Judy Judy.
She's just like my little brother was.
Wow, look how pretty.
Garden art.
Tyler's pretending her grandparents are with us.
They're not ours, but she's pretending that they are.
What do you think of the hat?
Don't touch, that's poop.
That's poop.
Don't touch that.
You ready?
Yeah.
Let's go see what's in there.
Look.
Do you see?
Oh, they're roosters.
Elena, I love it.
Looking good, babe.
That's about how many kids we're going to have.
Oh, careful, careful.
Oh.
Oh, my buddy Judy.
Did y'all see that?
She just smashed her head into the cup holder.
I stopped.
Are you okay?
She definitely had enough time to stop.
No, she didn't.
She just didn't pay attention.
We are here looking for John.
I sent him to go get a wagon or pushing thing for two of our other kids,
so that we have something that they can all be sitting,
if they want to eat or whatever.
Just right now we had three that wanted to sit at the same time,
and that wasn't working.
So, we're looking for John now.
Good job.
Don't send a man to do a woman's job.
I sent John to get a push stroller,
so we can both push together side by side with all our kids,
and this is what he got.
A freaking wagon as big as a house.
Time to ride some rides.
Go, Elena.
You can do it.
Tyler, I haven't seen Elena come through yet.
She's not stuck out there.
Elena.
Elena, go that way.
No, that way.
She's a little guided.
I don't think she's quite big enough to be doing this by herself.
There you go, dude.
Yeah, dude.
Go up.
Tyler's already down.
Cool, dude.
Yeah, Judy.
Good job, bud.
You drove it.
Come on, bud.
That was so fun.
Let's go.
Hey, why don't we go get another ride?
You want to pick a different one?
You want to pick another ride?
Look at all the other rides.
Tyler.
Look at Elena.
She's a new wave.
You want to ride that?
I thought she did, but she wanted to slide.
I said we weren't going that far away.
Watch your arms, buddy.
One kid's eating the phone.
How was it?
Was it scary?
Oh, that way, guys.
That way, Tyler.
What happened?
Was it scary?
Oh, Elena was having fun.
It was so high.
That slide is higher.
Hold on, Judy.
There they go.
Yay.
Hold on tight, Judy.
Don't jump out.
Don't jump out, Judy.
That don't mean nothing.
What?
Judy.
No, Judy.
Her shoes.
Where are they?
Oh, my gosh.
Judy threw her shoes down.
I didn't see them.
There they are right there.
Stinking Judy.
Threw her shoes down.
There ain't no stinking shoes up here.
I'm flying.
I'm flying, Ma.
We got some kids we need to drop off.
It's a drop off zone, isn't it?
We got these kids we need to drop off here.
Can you say hi?
Hi.
Do you want a sticker?
Cool.
Police sticker.
Come on, buddy.
She wasn't very friendly.
What's Carolina?
They're failing us.
You got to put the friendly police officers behind the desk.
Not the ones that don't want to talk to you.
Our kids really were excited to come.
That's cool.
Yeah, I know.
They asked her a question about the car out there.
She said, I don't know.
This is the place we get our honey cotton candy from every year.
It's delicious.
And here's the honey cotton candy man himself.
That's what his name is.
Honey cotton candy man.
Should we get some honey sticks for the kids?
I think we got it.
Yummy, yummy, yummy.
Are they delicious?
Oh, you do?
I think so.
Alright, let's go.
This is called the Bird's Nest.
It's chicken, barbecue, cheese, and french fries.
And it's the most delicious thing ever.
You ready to go home?
I'll tell you what, I'm ready to go home.
We've been here since, what, 11?
It's like 2 o'clock now.
Yeah, I'm done.
I'm done with these kids.
They're tired.
They haven't napped.
I'm just going to get out of here.
I'm ready to go.
It's been fun.
I won't say it hasn't been fun.
It has been fun.
It's just a little hard with these kids when they're ready to get out of here.
When they're tired and exhausted.
Come here, Elena.
We're doing a port-a-potty stop.
Tyler, hold on.
He's got to focus.
You got it, babe.
There they go.
Shooting in the hole and running up the pole.
Who could it be?
Oh, number one is blowing you out of the water.
I think you're picked out.
Gotcha.
Number one.
You were picked, Kelly.
You just beat up a little kid on this side, sir.
How could you?
Hey, I didn't have four daughters.
What are you, a work-a-chunky teen?
What are you, the manager there?
He got you.
He beat you.
You said he won.
All right.
Well, I don't ever win.
You won.
If you four play, nobody else but you.
Hey, who do you pick?
The unicorn.
What are you trying to get?
What do you guys like?
The unicorn.
What do we like?
The unicorn.
It's so fluffy, I'm going to die.
Hey, look, Tyler.
Winner, winner, winner.
Oh, number one, darn it.
Yeah.
Can I have that?
Yes, you can.
Y'all can share it.
All right, that's a nice one.
Thank you.
Winner, winner, winner, winner.
All right, who do we pick?
Well, I don't ever win.
I said that, but I won.
So do we always win?
I don't always win.
Keep your sticky fingers away.
All right.
It's not soft at all.
No, it's not soft at all.
It's so fluffy.
How do you think they make it?
They make it with, like, spending 50 cents to stuff it with stuff, and then they...
All right, that's it.
People spend $50 to win one.
Well, she shouldn't have pointed it at the thing like I did.
I thought I was going to lose.
My thing was, like, spraying mist and, like, being crazy.
I thought why they gave it to me, because my thing was wigging out.
They knew I was going to complain.
Look at that.
First time.
I do feel like a good dad now.
Yeah, kids, I can win you prizes anytime.
No problem.
Do you love the prize?
Daddy's got the prize.
He got a black bean on you.
Do you love the prize?
You love the prize.
All right, guys, we're going to go.
The kids are exhausted.
We're exhausted.
A day like this really tests some marriage.
It does, but it brings you closer, too.
It's been fun, though, but it's just the kids have been...
I'm not.
The kids have been grumpy, and so it's hot.
I can't...
John doesn't handle hot and hungry as well as I do, but it is warm.
We are going to go.
We're going to go home, get them down.
They'll probably eat dinner and take naps.
Yeah, me and you can go to bed.
Take naps until tomorrow, so we love you guys.
Have a great night.
We hope y'all are doing well.
Let us know if you have any prayer requests.
Yes, please.
See you.
