Good morning guys.
Sorry.
While my hair is tall today, what is going on here?
Good morning guys.
Welcome to another vlog.
Welcome to Sunday.
It is Sunday out there, believe it or not.
And in here.
You sound like you're on helium.
I sound like I'm on helium?
No, I don't.
What are you talking about?
Wearing the dude thing t-shirt today.
I haven't actually worn it much.
I've just found it in my wardrobe.
Getting ready for the day.
I've had a shower.
Feeling good today.
Somehow, just putting my jewellery on, keeping in that usual daily routine that I would normally
be in.
Somehow today, go on.
Somehow today, it actually feels like a Sunday.
And I don't know how, I don't know how or why, because every day should feel the same
at the moment.
I don't know, for some reason, maybe it's social media consumption, people are tweeting
about the weekend.
But welcome to our Sunday.
Welcome to another vlog down day.
What day is it?
We lost track of the days a little while ago, but hope you're doing okay, hope you're doing
well.
Comment below one thing you're doing today to keep busy.
I'd be interested to read that.
Lucy has started off the day.
She's actually been outdoors already today.
She's been out to the shop.
We ran out of water, but annoyingly, the only water you can get at the moment is these.
These small ones.
So they're annoying really, because we're having to use loads of plastic, because they
don't have the big ones in stock anywhere.
We've also had our coffee in bed this morning.
We've also made the bed, and Lucy here is on the balcony.
Well, she's not on the balcony, she's inside now, but she has been on the balcony doing
some laundry.
So it's really, really handy having a space, and we've still got our little chair here
so we can sit here and watch our clothes dry.
Metro Manila weather check today.
Looking beautiful.
It's nice and warm out here.
The aircon is a little bit noisy, but yesterday I didn't take my own advice.
I didn't spend any time out here yesterday, so coming out this morning, getting that breath,
getting that fresh air as much as you can.
I know in the UK you're allowed out for one piece of exercise per day for an hour or two,
which is really cool, because here you're not supposed to do that.
You're only supposed to go to the shop to buy food.
So coming out here, looking at the mountains, looking at the blue sky, remembering what
we're grateful for, thinking of the good things in life, thinking of the things that make
us happy, the things we're going to do when this is over, it's getting us through, guys.
What's for lunch?
Excuse me.
You are so annoying to lose weight.
What's for lunch?
Excuse me.
What's for lunch?
I don't know if it's us being indoors, but it's made you more annoying.
Hey.
A lot of couples work separately and then have evenings together, but for us, we're used
to being together all the time.
But I feel like because we're stuck indoors together, George has become 10 times more
annoying.
Hey.
He hasn't done any washing up for days.
So get in the comments and tell George to get on with it, to do some cleaning, to do
some laundry, to do some cooking, to do some washing up, because currently he just ...
You're so cute when you're angry.
But you haven't answered my question.
What's for lunch?
Lucy today is going to learn ...
I know how to do it already.
Okay, go on then.
I can literally make coffee, but I don't really enjoy doing it as much as you do, so I'll
let you do it, because it's your hobby.
I do really enjoy using this coffee machine.
Make it then.
Beautiful machine.
No, but I wanted you to make it.
Right.
First of all, oh, there's ants on it.
That's a good start.
No, they're my pets.
Leave them alone.
They're your pets.
Do not touch the ants.
They're there for a reason.
They're mine.
Oh my God.
All right, so we haven't got any milk, because this is going to be a black coffee.
There was no milk in 7-Eleven, by the way.
There was chocolate milk, but I thought that would be kind of gross.
Could have made hot chocolate.
So first I'm going to take this, put it in here.
Oh, it's wet though.
Yeah, that's why the cloth is here.
The ants keep the cloth nice and clean.
They eat all the residue coffee.
It's top tip, guys, if you've got a coffee machine.
Make sure you get a few ants around it.
Yeah, it gets a little bit dirty.
That is one thing.
This machine does make a little bit of mess.
So you know when, like, I don't know if it's the same here, but in the UK, I feel like every family had this.
The kids are like, I want a dog or I want a cat or I want a guinea pig or a rat or a hamster.
And the parents are like, okay, so long as you do the cleaning up, so long as you clean the cage,
so long as you take it for walks, if it's a dog or whatever, so long as you feed it every day.
I feel like this has happened with George.
George has begged me to get his pet, his coffee machine, and he doesn't look after it.
I do.
You're on one today.
It's Lucy against George today, isn't it?
That fly's still there.
Are you serious?
Why are there so many animals in our coffee shop?
That is why I bought these ants to get rid of the fly.
No, I'm just kidding.
He does look after it, but I think it could be a bit more clean.
See, so there, you take it out, you walk over to the sink.
The only reason we tamp over there is because this table is a little wobbly.
Yep, that's perfect.
Okay, and then I'm going to tamp it.
Good technique.
Thanks.
There's not enough coffee in here.
There is, that's the perfect amount if it's not really scraping any up.
Okay.
This little tool comes with this coffee machine.
This one?
Yep.
This one?
Yep.
Looking good.
Now to put the cup underneath where it's meant to be.
I'll take it like that, I'll take it as it is.
Sure.
Espresso.
Yeah, pretty nice.
Not bad, not bad.
Considering it's my first ever actually doing it on my own.
That is the first time you've actually ever used the machine.
On my own.
I'm quite happy with that.
Thank you very much.
How's this angle?
Oh, that's good.
And just give that a little clean with the cloth.
And rinse it if you want, if you prefer.
All right guys, we're going to drink our coffee and then we're going to show you something that I discovered earlier that's really, really cool.
So, I discovered that that is not a good setting for the camera.
I discovered this really cool website that I want to show Lucy.
You might find this interesting, you might not, it might just be me.
But I was like, I want to see these places in the world that are usually super, super busy.
I want to see what they look like right now.
As do you, that thought often comes to me.
No, that thought did just come to me.
I was like, it started with me thinking, it started with me seeing a news article saying that Donald Trump didn't want to put New York City on lockdown.
From what I read, US President Donald Trump has said he is considering imposing a quarantine on New York.
Considering.
I then read something else that said 27 minutes ago on aljazeera.com.
Again, these videos aren't news articles, I'm just reading stuff online.
US President decides against quarantine for New York.
US President Donald Trump has backed away from imposing a quarantine in the New York area.
Instead directing that a strong travel advisory be issued for the region.
The announcement on Twitter came late on Saturday.
So anyway, I was reading that kind of thing.
I was reading about New York, America.
Someone's hungry.
I realized that Times Square must be one of the busiest places in the world.
So then I thought, there must be a website that has like live webcams for these places in the world.
And there is.
Earthcam.com.
Not sponsored, just found this on my own and found it very, very cool.
So you literally go on earthcam.com.
So what I'll do, I'll share my screen with you guys.
Okay, so here we are.
We can go earthcam.com.
This must be a unique moment in time, in history, where there's no one in Times Square.
We actually have a look earlier, but I wanted to show you on the vlog.
So you just search Times Square.
Have a look at this.
Oh my god, that's so cool.
It's a live webcam.
Times Square crossing.
So you just click on the webcam.
That's what it looks like, that small picture of it.
And it loads.
Look how many views, 74 million views.
74 million views, that's crazy.
And it loads a Mr. Muscle ad.
Yeah, you have to wait for the ad.
And then there is this webcam.
This is live right now in New York.
So we can see one dude walking.
Oh, two police cars.
And two police cars.
I think this is an interactive one.
It's a video of that cliff.
I think other people would be using that one camera.
You can't move around, can you?
So there's other cams here, Times Square 4K.
So you can go anywhere in the world and see what it's looking like right now.
Where should we look?
So you look at this.
Okay, so this is the other angle.
Up in the top right here, those are the cars we were just looking at.
Is that a person?
Can I move around on this?
Okay, I can zoom in and out, but I can't move around.
They're not moving if it is.
No, I don't think that's a person.
We're in New York City.
There's some guy here walking around.
That's mental.
So we can go to other famous places in the world.
Can we go to Boracay?
Yes, we can.
Boracay Beach is insanely busy, as we know.
And it is currently four o'clock in the Philippines.
Meerkat cam!
Meerkat cam.
Boracay Beach cam.
Here we go, let's see if there's anyone on the beach.
It's so cool that there's a freaking camera in Boracay that we can watch.
So we can all pretend that we're on a beach.
Have a go with this, it's a lot of fun.
Oh my goodness me.
So there's one person stood there.
I can zoom in.
I don't know whereabouts on the beach this is, but it's empty.
George, that's Boracay Beach.
That is the busiest beach we've ever seen.
Absolutely empty.
And there's no one there.
There's one person there.
It doesn't look like they're doing food shopping or exercising.
Very naughty.
But we'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
That's so cool, George.
That's White Beach.
That's insane.
Cool right?
It looks like she's waiting for someone.
And then you get really invested in it.
I was on it for like half an hour earlier.
I was like, what is that guy doing?
What's he waiting for?
So let's go to the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
Trevi Fountain, one of the hot spot tourist locations in the world.
Lucy and I have been.
Have a look at this webcam.
So you can like go around the world in real time.
Search your hometown, see if there's a camera.
Search places you've been to.
I think it's really unique that we're seeing.
Look.
Lucy, look at this.
This is Trevi Fountain live.
You can go full screen as well.
There's one guy.
And this is where I get.
I don't know if it's weird.
I'm just watching this one guy.
He has no idea I'm watching.
But there's this one guy.
Maybe he's a guard or something.
There's someone getting a time lapse here.
Or vlogging.
He could be like, hey.
Look at this guy.
So I get super invested in this.
And I want to know what he's up to.
But isn't Italy on like full lockdown?
Because it's one of the worst countries in the world.
I reckon if a policeman sees this guy.
I just saw like a guard.
Yeah, there's a guy walking around.
I just saw a guard up here.
A bird.
Birds are still flying around.
This guy's obviously getting a photo or a time lapse.
Honestly guys, if you've ever been here.
Normally it's like you can't even walk.
Yeah.
Type Philippines.
Yeah, let's put in.
Where do we search?
Let's go here.
Philippines.
Maybe there's one for Manila.
Oh, definitely.
Let's try Manila.
Oh, they're just trending ones.
These are the results on here.
No results for Manila.
Okay, you said Tokyo, the crossing, right?
Shibuya crossing.
Try that.
Shibuya crossing.
Here we are, Tokyo.
Tokyo is the busiest place in the world.
Live camera, I don't know.
Live camera.
Oh, there's people here.
Is this now?
29th.
Yeah, this is now.
It's completely packed.
Why are there people everywhere?
Tokyo is not on lockdown.
To be fair, compared to normal, this crossing is heavy.
Actually, that is very, very quiet.
There's so many cars and so many people close to each other.
There's so many places in Japan.
Yeah, loads.
Japan's quite bad, isn't it?
So we can just watch the Shibuya crossing.
That's so cool.
Just one thing I thought I'd share with you guys because it's been keeping us entertained.
Oh, look, they're crossing.
Here they go.
There's the Shibuya crossing.
But this could be the virus spreading, man.
But maybe these people are just shopping.
There's that many people in Tokyo.
All these people could be on essential trips, couldn't they?
But you're right, that is so...
Let's quickly insert the vlog clip when we were here,
and we'll show you what we saw when it was really busy.
Okay, we're crossing.
Along with thousands of other people.
Welcome back to Lucy's Kitchen,
the show where Lucy cooks things.
We join Lucy in the middle of prepping lunch.
Let's see what she's up to.
Who said that?
So I'm currently cutting some sesame bagels.
These are out of the freezer.
So, proving slightly difficult.
Come on.
I'm going to make a delicious bagel for lunch.
We've got some pepperoni, some cheese, and some mustard.
And it's going to be super delicious.
But this is still frozen, so I'm going to put it in the pan with some butter.
And kind of cook it up.
Cook it up, like toast one side of it.
It's still nice, I think, having a soft bagel on the outside,
but a crisp layer on the inside.
The mustard doesn't get soggy.
I've said it before, guys.
This is the stuff, this mustard.
So we've got a lovely bagel here.
Wow, look at that.
Mustard, cheese, and crispy pepperoni.
Mmm.
Toasted.
Oh, that looks so good.
Yum, thank you.
And as you can see, guys, no more clips from that day.
Which means this is the end of the vlog.
It is the next day.
I'm just editing what you just watched.
Lucy is in the background doing something.
But you'll find out tomorrow.
Yeah, it's going to be quite interesting, tomorrow's vlog.
That's all I'm going to say.
Come back tomorrow.
We will see you guys soon.
Give the video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it today.
Is that the next thing we filmed? Making the bagels?
We watched a film. What did we watch?
The Big Short.
The Big Short. It was all about the 2008 credit crunch thing.
It was really good, actually.
Crash of the Economy.
It was a comedy, but it wasn't that funny.
Informative.
Anyway, it was a good film.
Then we went to bed, because it was like midnight.
So we will see you guys in the next vlog tomorrow,
which is today for us.
If you enjoyed it, see you next time.
