Good morning guys. Good morning. I hope you're all doing well.
Just finished up a little workout this morning. Oh, look at that hair. Lovely.
Good morning. I ended up using these, which are resistance bands,
which are really good. I didn't realise Lucy had these.
She uses them for her workouts sometimes.
Didn't realise how good they'd be for me.
I thought that I just never considered using them,
but let me kind of show you a few things I was doing. Put you guys on here.
You may have seen the vlog the other day where I use Lucy as a gym.
That isn't sustainable. Let me tell you. Uh, not too good for Lucy's body.
The weight isn't even and stuff like that. You can't get good form.
So with these, not, I don't mean you,
Lucy is the weight. I've just had a message from my sister.
She's agreed to come on the vlog and chat to us today because she works for the
NHS in the UK. She's a midwife.
I just wanted to like ask her some questions about how it is for her basically
and document,
get her take on it from right inside where everything's going on inside
hospitals and inside the health service in Britain,
because the lockdown has been extended there or it's about to be announced that
it's been extended. But let me show you what I was doing.
No, it's not even wet.
I've got a thing on my nose. One of these like, um, things for yours.
Lucy, I was just literally just coming to my section.
And your pores. And now, and now I need to pull it off.
What weights I was doing.
And it really hurts because it's stuck to my skin.
What exercises I can actually do with this. And it's making my eyes water.
And I think you should do one of these later. I might.
But these things always kind of gross because it shows what's on your skin.
It's the most, look at that. Why is it off in one?
No. Oh, that looks so good.
That is literally watering. So painful.
Why is it still on my nose? What the heck? Gross.
Absolutely rank. Anyway, carry on.
So I'll very quickly show you some exercises I have been doing with these.
They like got different resistance. This is a super heavy one,
which is like the hardest to pull.
In case you are someone who is used to lifting weights in the gym and you can't
at the moment, but you happen to have some of these lying around.
First one I managed to do was a bicep, a standard bicep curl.
So you basically get it in your foot, put it on the ground,
make sure this hand is out like that. Sit up nice and straight.
I tend to put my hand behind my back and then you've got
a solid bicep curl and it feels exactly like you're lifting weights.
So that's really good. I did like a few sets on each arm. So that was one.
Another one I managed to do was a shoulder press.
So you kind of make a cross on your chest with one hand.
You get this up at where you would do like a normal shoulder press position,
lock in really hard, tense your core,
tense this arm and just go up like that.
If you want more resistance, you can lower slightly.
And then you get a full range of motion and that's actually about the right way.
And then you can swap arms as well. What else did I do?
I did kind of like an improvised,
I used a lower one for this because you have to stretch further. An improvised,
how was it? Chest thing. I think I just, oh yeah.
I actually put my hand in my pocket, held it very,
very solidly there and then just went all the way over like a diagonal across
your body. And that's like a bit of a chest workout, I guess.
So, um, you can also just do a kind of pull thing. What else can you do?
Probably do some weird thing around your neck.
Don't do a neck thing.
I need to work out. Um, oh, there you go.
There's probably videos on YouTube that properly show you how to do it.
So yeah, probably not this video on YouTube. This is just me.
Don't have to try this at home. Yeah, that's kind of a,
just literally worked out. Hand through there,
nice and tight on your shoulder. Tricep extension.
I also got Lucy to hold one of the bands here and then I did a kind of tricep
thing like that as I pulled it down.
So if you do have these lying around and you are wanting to work out and feel
like you're lifting weight, highly recommend it.
I need to hop in the shower quickly. Um, we've already had breakfast this morning,
already had first coffee, bit of YouTube in bed.
I'm going to freshen up and give my sister a call.
You've got five minutes till she's calling. Have I? Okay, crap.
I also filmed a little thing for my Instagram earlier, um, doing like a leg,
and we're just getting some ideas together for a potential leg bum ab kind of
workout. We're like a fitness channel. I know, it's crazy.
And I've just been asking you on there, like how long you want the video to be.
If you'd rather a live video or if you'd rather,
my nose has gone so red from this. Um, but yeah,
let me know in the comments if that's something you're interested in and I'll
film it in the next couple of days. Thanks George.
I'll film it in the next couple of days.
Hello. Hey, you're right.
This is going to be big for you.
Just put it on, put it on for the interview. I said to Emily, can I interview?
No, I didn't really. Very laid back chat. How are you doing?
Yeah, of course. We're always filming.
We're daily bloggers though. It's fine. How are you?
Oh, how's it going now?
Did you have the weekend off?
Okay. So like three days off week, but you're going into work as normal.
Basically.
Do you have, um,
loads of people are saying there's not enough protective gear and stuff going
around. Do you, are you protected when you work?
Oh, okay.
Yeah. Are you in, are you actually in hospital a lot?
Yeah.
Yeah. Emily used to have to go to people's houses quite often, um,
as part of her job. And now that's completely stopped, right?
So everyone comes to you in one place?
Oh,
that's crazy. So you're
just so you guys know, um, all my,
I think my whole family in the UK are in same with yours are isolated.
None of them are working. I think you're the only one.
It must keep you busy.
It keeps you busy. Cause you're not in like constant lockdown.
Doing yoga, working out, making banana, making banana loaf.
You did make, you did make a banana.
Um, but no, I'm really grateful that I'm still able to go to her to do or able to do
something that feels helpful. And, um, yeah,
like the women are obviously really, really anxious.
And it's not the best time to be having a baby.
Yeah. It's what I said about my friend, didn't I?
That I had to have the baby in Brighton. Um, and her partner,
even though they lived together, he couldn't be there for the birth.
And then even now she's at home there now is a three at home,
but none of the family can meet the baby for the first,
however many months it's going to be. Um, of the baby being alive.
So it's really crazy. So it's kind of, I guess they'll FaceTime and stuff,
but they can't hold this little newborn for until it's over. I don't know.
It's kind of crazy, isn't it?
But some of the women are really heartbroken,
like especially those who are really close to their families.
Like imagine having a baby and your mum not being able to meet them.
And it's the support as well. Having a baby, you know,
to begin with is such a hard time that having family over with meals,
they prepare for you or sitting with the baby for two hours while you go and
have a nap. Like all of that. And just the advice that mum is, is this,
is this poop kind of normal? Like, is this noise this baby's making okay?
Yeah. It's all that support. It's just good to hear from them.
So it's really, really tough.
Are you having, are you having to work more hours and stuff?
Are you stretched or is your team like, okay.
No, I think in the first, when we, when the lockdown,
sort of the third lockdown, we call it lockdown,
the third came, quite a few staff got off because, you know,
they had to tell us before it was that two weeks when they had to get off.
And that was stressful because we were quite little.
But touch wood, over the last couple of weeks,
the staff has actually been very positive.
Is Mike worried about you going in and out and everything?
Cause he's isolating.
I think it's really weird for Mike. I think, you're quite young and healthy.
And I hear that young people have been feeling unwell as well.
Yeah. Yeah.
It'll be fine, but it's a really vulnerable person.
So I have to, I assume, get everyone to put their clothes on for me.
You're doing all right.
Yeah, we're doing okay.
It's always a stressful time for everyone for different reasons, isn't it?
But yeah, I'm helping the ladies as much as I can, which is nice.
Oh, that's good. That's good.
Cool. Well, I hope to see you soon.
We don't know when we can come home, but that's weird.
Well, we were meant to be coming out this Friday.
So in a few days' time, we'll have to wrap on our way to New York.
Yeah, on your Asia trip.
And then it'd have been three weeks until we saw you.
So like in three weeks' time, you'd have been in the exact apartment.
It's crazy.
Emily really wants to go to El Nido.
She's upset at the idea.
We'll do it. We'll redo the trip.
We will do it.
Probably next year, but, oh well.
It will happen.
I'm fighting it.
Hey, hello mate.
Hello Mike.
Sorry you can't be in this part.
Always, always bringing the positivity, positive vibes.
How are you doing mate?
Nice, nice sleep.
Good lad.
Me too.
We slept till like 11 today.
I know.
Oh yeah.
Sorry.
I shouldn't say that.
You're off to work.
It's all been about you, hasn't it?
Selfish.
Um, we're, we're good.
We're okay.
We're like day 31 today.
Well, day 32, day 32 today.
Just inside and nothing much to report.
We're just trying to keep busy.
Just trying to keep on top of like fitness.
Oh, it's so nice.
And then afterwards I put butter, olive oil and garlic in a pan and
cooked it and then grated cheese.
But it was like the best garlic bread I've ever had in my life.
Oh, the TikTok dancing.
Yes.
I'll teach you it.
It's hard.
You might not get it, but I'll try and teach you.
Don't worry about it.
Which one's that from?
The Tik, learning TikToks.
What's that?
When I've tried, you like put your chest out.
Oh yeah.
Only I, only I can do it.
Not TikTok, the Tyler dance.
The Tyler dance, sorry.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, don't worry.
Don't, don't worry.
I felt really sorry for you because you started to feel a bit sick.
Oh yeah.
I felt dizzy and sick.
It was really tough on me actually.
It was quite advanced.
No, it wasn't being dramatic for the vlog.
Genuinely felt dizzy.
Moving around so much, up and down, all over the place.
Pointless.
Totally pointless.
Hate you, I did.
Anyway, we'll let you go on.
We got to edit tonight's vlog.
Miss you guys.
Miss you too.
We'll speak soon.
Glad you're doing well.
Can you put your hand on my face?
Bye.
Nice to chat to Emily.
Um, yeah, as she said, if you don't know, those guys were due to come out to the
Philippines to, to see us.
We were going to do like a three week island trip, a squeeze in a road trip.
Emily really wants to go to El Nido because she saw our vlogs when we first
came here.
It will happen.
And when it happens, it will be even more exciting because there's been this like
wait for it.
True.
Right.
I need coffee.
Okay.
I decided to put one of these on my nose as well.
Bad idea, I'm reckoning, because I just know how painful this is going to be.
Having a little bit of a work session this afternoon.
I'm over here in my office, Lucy's over there editing the vlog in her office.
I feel like this is what it would be like if we both had like normal jobs and had to
work from home together all of a sudden.
This is the vlog where we had a nice sing song on the balcony.
We really enjoy doing that.
Camera or no camera.
We just love it.
It's going to be real.
We're like, how much do we leave in the vlog?
But we figured if it's at the end of the vlog, people can just switch off whenever
they want.
And if you want a longer session, like 20 minutes of us singing, that's your thing.
If you enjoy it, then thanks, first of all.
And then it's there for you guys if you do want to see that.
So if you did watch yesterday's vlog, I hope you enjoyed it.
Most of it's us trying to work out what key to sing the songs in and trying to work out
the harmonies.
Anyway, I'm going to give you guys a ridiculous, why am I giving you a close up?
Maybe we'll go back a little bit.
I was going to give you a really close up, but it might be a bit disgusting because I'm
going to feel my pain a little bit.
Okay, we're going to take it off now.
Oh, this is going to be painful, man.
Oh, even that corner.
You did too fast because you needed to pull all the rank stuff out!
Oh no, this is not worth it, not doing it again.
Ow!
Oh, oh, oh.
Power though.
Ow, ow, ow.
Ow!
Oh.
Luce, you don't understand.
Well, I understand very well, I just did it.
My skin's more sensitive than yours.
No, it's not.
Oh, hey!
We're nearly there.
Okay, we're there.
We're there.
Oh, that was horrible.
Guys, can you see my eyes are watering?
I've got to clean all this off.
I don't even know if my nose feels better
or worse after that, if I'm honest.
It is a little bit later now,
and welcome guys to the food section of tonight's vlog.
Lucy is just getting tonight's thumbnail ready
for the vlog that's going on for you guys.
Well, you've already seen it probably.
Tonight, I have actually rustled up.
Shut your mouth, mister.
Okay, I didn't do it, Lucy did it.
We've got this delicious Turkish bread
that she made the other day with a pork,
basically like a pork tomato pasta, right?
And I like the look of this.
I think we're cooking up some garlic bread.
We're turning this into delicious garlic bread.
Is that right?
This is my new stand up desk, I suppose.
Yeah, we figured that we should be standing up more.
You just got to open your legs a little bit too wide.
Ow!
You okay there?
We're both in very good moods today.
I think it's because we started off with a workout.
Did you work out today?
Beesh, I always work out.
She worked out today.
So we both worked out.
I had like a 50s and 60s music playlist on earlier,
and we've been like singing those songs ever since.
What are you doing?
Exercising, I said I work out.
That's your new, you look like Ricky Gervais
in The Office.
Did we do that?
Do you not remember that dance?
No.
Then we had the FaceTime with Emily and Mike,
always cheers me up.
We're ahead with editing.
We're feeling good.
We've got dinner on the go.
We're not drinking today.
We're not drinking any alcohol.
Should we do tomorrow as well?
Were you?
Okay, fine, screw it, I'll have a glass of wine.
I was only doing it because you said,
I'll happily have a glass of wine.
We'll do it tomorrow, no alcohol tomorrow.
All right guys, the time has come to end today's vlog.
We've just been reading some comments
on the singing vlog we did yesterday,
and we sat on the balcony and sang for like 20 minutes
and left it all in the vlog.
And you guys seemed to really enjoy that.
So if you've got any song requests,
we're now doing this,
comment below and let us know
what you want us to do next time.
We just finished Ant-Man and the Wasp.
It was okay.
It's probably been my least favorite three.
And someone messaged the other day,
can't remember if it was a comment or a DM or a tweet,
but they were saying,
once you finish all the Marvel stuff,
can you give us a rundown of the order of your favorites
or the top favorite three
and least favorite three kind of thing.
So we'll definitely do that.
We're gonna end this video off today.
Can you believe we're actually ending a vlog?
So thank you for watching this video.
Please give it a big thumbs up if you enjoyed it.
Subscribe if you're new,
follow our Instagrams if you like.
And thank you again for all your support
on all these quarantine videos.
We're super grateful that you guys are still watching us
32 days later.
So that means a lot to us.
And there's now actually a lockdown playlist
on our YouTube channel.
So all 32 videos that we've uploaded so far
in this strange, strange time are in a playlist.
So if you're hearing me say that you upload it every day
and you're thinking, I don't think I've seen every video,
go and check out the playlist now
and you can catch up on any days that you've missed.
And yeah, that's it.
That's the end of the vlog.
So thanks again for watching
and we'll see you again in another daily juice.
Bye guys.
