Oh my gosh. No way. Lauren, feel it.
It's lighter. Insane. Like this right
here. What's crazy is it's kind of work.
Y'all hold the phone. We've been lied
to. You guys know I love to report and
give you guys all the ideas when it
comes to making your craft projects last
for a lifetime. And one of my biggest
questions I get on the internet every
single day is, "Tanner, what do you do
to sell your projects?" And for years,
I've said vinyl projects, heat transfer
vinyl, DTF, sublimation, all of those
things do not need to be sealed. But
what if I told you that I saw a video
that left me questioning, is that true?
We're going to review it today. We're
going to dive in. I've even ordered it
and we're going to play around and
figure out, should we be sealing our
heat transfer vinyl, our sublimation,
our DTF items? Why? Why not? Is this
fake? Is it just water? I don't know.
But I'm gonna find out today and you're
coming along with me. Let's go. So, it
all started one day when I was just on
Facebook as one is on the book and I saw
a video that caught my attention. I
think it was a Facebook ad, but who
knows? And we're going to watch it
together. Spray, which is a patent
pending solution designed to improve the
hand feel of your DTF transfers. This
transfer right here, I've got two of
them because we're going to do be doing
a comparison. One with Magic Seal and
one. This is where I was like, "Okay,
there's something." Go through the
regular DTF transfer process. Placing
your transfer. So, it's promoted for
DTF, but there's some other things you
can do with it. Regular DTF looks
normal. If I feel this, it does have
that slightly
plasticky feel. For comparison purposes,
we're going to take another shirt,
slightly different color, and do our
regular DTF press. This feels like a
regular regular DTF press, which is
exactly what it is. Here's our magic
spray bottle. This is when I was like,
"What is this magic?" All that's needed.
Is this just water, y'all? Is this just
water? Press and doing a second press
for about 10 to 15 seconds. If you do
zoom in a little bit, you'll be able to
see the fibers of the shirt coming
through. And honestly, I can see a
difference. A lot smoother. Like it
looks more in the shirt. You know what
I'm saying?
Okay, look at this. If the camera can
zoom in there. I mean, it looks like
it's in the pores of the shirt. quite a
bit more glossy like in the pores like
not just on what I was like as soon as I
saw this I was like oh my gosh what if
this would work on like printable Cricut
heat transfer vinyl because I was like
if this could work on printable heat
transfer vinyl game over like I need it
right now. Um and this is pretty much I
mean the video is a little bit longer
but now you've seen kind of the
sideby-side comparison. Let's put that
up on the screen. I'm like, "Okay,
y'all." I was influenced. We went to the
shop and we bought the spray, but we
they got us, y'all. We got got twice cuz
we shopped around the shop. And y'all,
they have the DTF magic sheets.
And y'all know we've got to figure it
all out. So, here's the deal. So, the
Magic Seal sheets, I mean, the the
pictures got me. So, this is the sheets.
And this is mainly, you know, the sheets
are for the DTF transfers. I really
think all Cricut users are going to
benefit from this product. That's my
hunch. Um, and why I'm even making a
video, but I just want to show you. Look
at this. Okay, so this is the sheet.
This is the sheet for DTF transfers,
which we're going to do today. But what
I'm mostly excited about is, y'all, this
spray. Like, I really want to know,
like, first of all, is this water? Like,
definitely not just water.
Um, oh,
okay. Don't do that. Don't spray it. Um,
because it I mean, it does look like
water, but it's not. This is definitely
a really fun sealant. So, what I want to
do in today's video is I want to put it
to the test. Like, can I do this with
heat transfer vinyl? Will it seal deeper
in the product like it will with DTF? I
have a lot of different ones to play
around with. So, sublimation, DTF, and
Cricut is all game in today's video.
You're coming along for the ride. Let's
dive in. All right, my friends. We've
got a lot of work cut out for us, and
we're definitely going to be working
overtime in this video, but I really
want to see what we can do with this.
So, starting out, I want to get started
with the DTF magic seal sheet. This
right here, very, very interesting to
me. And we're going to tie it together
with a traditional DTF. Now, in this
video, I promise I've put out other DTF
transfers. I've got some Cricut uh
printable. I've got Cricut regular heat
transfer vinyl. I have sublimation.
We're going to test it all today. So,
just sit back and relax and get ready to
learn how to seal your shirts like never
before. And let me tell you, I never
thought I would be using the word seal
your shirts. So, if you're surprised or
intrigued just like me, stick around.
Let's start by conditioning this. I've
never heard of conditioning a sealant,
but that is what the instruction says.
So, we need to press this with the
rubber side down for 20 seconds at 270°.
So, we're going to lay this down here,
and we are going to press this just like
so for roughly 20 seconds. And that is
going to condition it and then it'll be
ready to use. It has a like slick side
and it has a rubbery side for this
sealant. So what we'll do after we go
through for 20 seconds, had it set for
15, so I'm going to give it five extra.
And as you can see now, it is now
conditioned. So what we'll do at this
point is set this to the side. It's now
conditioned. It'll be ready to go. We
can now just use a regular DTF uh
transfer, which we got from a gang
sheet. This is one Lauren's actually
working on for a vacation bottle school,
it looks like. So, we're going to press
that and test it out to see how well it
does. So, we're going to put this shirt
in our heat press. Going to line it out.
Make sure the sleeves are not in the
way.
And then I like to do about two fingers,
two little like two inches down. I'm go
to press it just for a few seconds. I
like to always do a pre-press, get any
moisture out, anything like that. Um,
just for a few seconds. And now what
we'll do is take our regular DTF
transfer and we're going to apply it on
here for 15 seconds. So, the numbers to
think about 270°,
we conditioned at uh 20 seconds, we are
pressing at 15, and then we'll press
again with that at Another 20 seconds
with the new sealant. All right. So,
let's put this in here. Go make sure
we're straight and narrow. Beautiful.
Love it. We're ready. So, now we're
going to press. So, let's just close
this and we're going to go for 15
seconds and then we'll peel it up and
I'll show you what a regular DTF
transfer looks like. And then, guess
what? we will be able to add what we
just conditioned, which I'm very excited
to see what the difference is. So, lift
this up
with DTF with this one for the one we
ordered. This is a cold peel. So, I'm
going to take it out and I'm going to
let it cool just for a little bit and
then we'll peel it up and get a closeup
of how it looks. All right. So, it's a
cold peel. So, we're going to peel this
back. Sometimes with DTF, man, it makes
me feel like it's not transferred. It's
just hanging on a little bit. But look,
beautiful. Okay, this is where we got to
get a closeup so we have a true
comparison. So, let me flip this around,
let you guys see it. Let's get the
close-up cam. And I know what he means
in the video. Like, this to me looks
like it's just um just like just an
image on, you know, the fabric. You
can't see the fibers like he says you
can with the transfer. Like you might be
able to see a little bit up here, but
especially with these bigger images, I
think it's really good for images like
this with DTF that just feel like it's
blah like on a shirt. Like even you hear
that?
Okay, so we've got this. Now we're going
to put to the test. Not the spray yet.
We're saving the spray, but I think this
transfer sheet is really interesting.
So, we're going to put it back in and
we're going to add the
the amazing transfer sheet. Remember, it
goes rubber side down. So, rubber side
down that we conditioned. We place it
on.
All right. And now we're going to press
this at 270°
for 20 seconds. Are you guys ready? Here
we go.
[Music]
All right, we're going to lift it up.
Oh, it's sticking. H
[Music]
Oh my gosh, guys. I can
No way.
No way, guys. Oh my gosh. Okay, it's
still hot. Still hot. Come over here. Oh
my gosh. Okay, I haven't touched it yet
cuz I want it to cool. So, let me just
like shake it off. You can tell like the
indentions in the fabric and the fibers.
That's what he's talking about. Like, oh
my gosh. Okay. I'm so excited to feel
it. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Uh-uh.
Lauren, feel it.
[Applause]
It's lighter. Okay, I don't know how to
describe this other than it's literally
like it in I mean it's
it's literally like it worked.
A Facebook ad got us and it worked.
I can't I I can't believe it. Come back
over here. Like I want you to feel
Lauren. You have to Can you No, no. Come
in the shot. Like can you explain like
how would you say I know it's like it's
like it stretches with the fibers but
like feel how lightweight it is now.
Like DTF is normally thick. Not but look
at the stretch. Wo wo wo wo wo wo. It's
so different. Oh my gosh. That's insane,
guys. This is crazy. It almost looks
like it's direct to fabricated.
A thousand% because it's so like
especially I mean like if I close my the
words look unbelievable. If I close my
eyes like I would barely be able to tell
there's fabric there or like any type of
material. This obviously you still can.
But it's Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This is a
very It's still so much better than it
was before. And you can even see the
fibers. This is crazy. I can't really
I'm shocked it worked. Okay, first one
in is a is a success. So, we're given
the transfer, the conditioned, who knows
what you got to do. It worked, but now
let's see what happens with the sprays.
All right, so we get the hype of the uh
direct to film going on and you know DTF
working and all of that, but what if I
told you a DTV direct to vinyl? What if
it worked for that? That is what we're
gonna put to the test next. So, this
right here is one that we designed and
taught. And if you feel it, I mean, I
hope you guys can hear that. Like, look.
Like, if we could make that look like
what we just did to the DTF. I mean,
this is crunchy. Like, like, do you guys
see and feel how crunchy that is? What
if it worked? What if we could get the
spray to work for this? So, what I'm
going to do is I'm going to press it one
time just to iron it out a little bit
and then we're going to do just like I
did in the video. Give it a few sprays.
Okay. So, let me press it. I'm not even
going to do a full press. Like, I'm just
going to do a couple seconds.
Beautiful.
All right. Now, all he did in the video
was take the spray and spray it two to
three times. So, here we go. One, two,
three. I sprayed it. Maybe a little too
much. I don't know.
All right.
Okay. This could be a crap fill. I don't
know.
How long does How long do I press it?
Okay. 15 seconds. Okay. Here we go. 15
seconds.
Okay. Here we go.
Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh oh. Oh. Oh, there's
smoke. There is smoke. Oh my word. Oh my
word.
Well, well, well, well, well.
I guess the the ink
What's crazy is it's kind of worked.
Okay. If
if we uh ignore the discoloration.
All right. Let's let's take a look here.
Let's take us a look here.
Oh, Haley, class of 2025. Haley.
Oh, Haley, what have we done?
Okay.
I mean, so like I said, like I said, I
mean, here's the crazy part. If you
literally don't look at the
discoloration again, cuz it's the
printer, it did infuse better to the
fabric. So, direct to vinyl, it will
mess up your ink. Now, we know. I'm I'm
disheartened, but I also have hope
because technically, hear me out.
Technically, this is vinyl and it worked
other than the ink. So, what if we took
a regular heat transfer vinyl product?
What if we were able to find a product
that actually infused and sealed heat
transfer vinyl products? Like, if all of
your heat transfer vinyl projects need
sealers now, have we just uncovered the
biggest craft trend of 2025?
D. First things first, I got to take
this off cuz I totally ruined I totally
ruined this. So, we're going to have to
get our teflon sheet out. Oh my word. Oh
yeah, this one this one's been so good
to us, honey. We bless her out. We bless
her out. That's hot. Okay, we're go get
go get some
go get some butcher paper. I'm go get
some more butcher paper or teflon,
whichever one you want. This is a really
good material to test this out on too, I
think. So, this is a pumpkin shirt.
Okay, Cricut, we're back. We are back
with you, Cricket. Okay. So, I'm putting
the Cricut one in. Go press that.
I'm just going to press this for a
couple seconds just to re press it.
All right.
Oo. Woo. She hot. She hot. Hot. Hot.
Okay. So, here's what we're at now. I
mean, honestly, it feels pretty infused,
but what if there's more? Like what if
we could seal it even better? That is
the question we have. All right, so
we're gonna now put this back over to
the cricket to the heat press.
All right, here's all we need to do.
Grab our spray bottle.
We're going to spray it
just a little bit.
All right, we're going to add our Teflon
sheet back at it.
All right, here we go. Just a few
seconds.
[Music]
Oh,
did we just uncover the biggest craft
hack of 2025?
Sealing your heat transfer vinyl
projects. Is this going to be hot off
the press? Okay, here we go.
Okay.
Nuh-uh.
Nuh-uh.
Guys,
y'all, I'm not holding my breath, but
I'm holding my breath. Okay, come over
here. Come on over. Come on over. Look
at this.
Look at this.
Oh,
guys. Oh my gosh.
No way. Okay, Lauren, let me Okay, so
you know with heat transfer vinyl, it
normally feels like there's vinyl, but
look, that is insane. Like this right
here, Courtney, come here.
This is insane.
Oh my gosh, guys. This changes
everything for heat for heat transfer
your Facebook ad. I mean, look at how
like it used to like pop up off the but
now it's like infused in the material.
This is the spray. Oh my gosh, the the
the the sheet looked unbelievable, too.
This is crazy,
y'all. We did it. We did it. What are we
going to call this? It looks It makes it
look almost like screen print. Like
screen print. Yeah, it's like a screen
print. So professional. So professional.
Y'all, if you're selling your heat
transfer vinyl shirts, you need this
product.
Okay, y'all.
I don't think I'm ever going to make a
heat transfer vinyl project the same
again. Like, this has literally changed
our entire office. Like, we're shaking.
Okay,
I like I just want to let you all know
that I added heat transfer vinyl to the
test like at the ninth hour or the ninth
inning. Like right before we filmed, I
was like, "Let's test it with heat
transfer vinyl." Never once thought it
would work. So,
I love that. That's super cool. I think
that's the highlight of the video. But
now, what we've got to do is we got to
keep going. I've got more ideas for you.
So, now we're going to test it with
sublimation. So, if you guys didn't
know, we're hosting a craft conference
called CraftCon. It is a festival 2
days, July 19th and 20th. Have you got
your ticket? Check it out down below. We
have never thought about like being able
to truly truly um you know, seal in
sublimation, but today we're going to do
it together. So, I'm going to go ahead
and press a sublimated shirt with the
CraftCon logo, and we're going to take a
look at it, and then we're going to
compare and see what our thoughts are.
So, let me press it just to get us
started. All right, y'all. I'm doing one
of my favorite sublimation hacks. After
I print out an image, I like to go
through and just rip the edges so that
there's no imprints. And woo, I got
close to the edge on that one. That was
crazy. Okay, so we have CraftCon the
logo. If you get a ticket, we're giving
you the CraftCon logo so that you can
make your own merch to wear at CraftCon.
We'd love for you to make a shirt, make
a hat, anything like that. So, we're
going to press it. And just like we've
been doing, we're going to show you what
it looks like. We're pressing this at
385 for 20 to 30 seconds.
And we are go press
and then we'll take a look and we'll see
how it looks and then we'll add the
spray. It's going to be so cool. What if
this works for sublimation? Sublimation
is the one that I'm like, do you really
need it? Like, like it's turning it into
a gas. Like, this is the point. There's
nothing to infuse. So,
this is the one that may not be worth
it, but you've stuck around this long.
Who knows what could happen?
Woo! Okay,
this thing, this is a big old heat
press, y'all. This is like industrial.
Okay, always I don't recommend reusing
butcher's paper. If you do, it's on you.
We're go typically just take a look
here. Uh, sublimation makes me so happy.
It is like the easiest thing to do.
Okay, guys. So, come here. Come here.
Let's take a look. Come on. Are y'all
coming to CraftCon? Get your ticket down
below. It is happening so soon. Y'all
better have your ticket. Look at that.
This is legit. Legit, legit. Beautiful,
beautiful, beautiful. Okay, I did have a
little ghosting, so I need to I should
have taped it down. This is on me. I'll
show you my imperfections, but here we
go.
So, first thing out of the gate, like it
looks really good. So, it's making me
wonder like how much better how much
better could the spray be? So, you guys
saw it. Let's pop it back in.
All right. Now,
make sure this is all good.
All right. So, I got my spray. I'm just
going to spray it a couple of times.
All right. Now, I'm going to grab a
little bit more butcher paper.
Go pop this in and we're going to press
for
10 to 20 seconds.
All righty. So,
maybe we went a little too warm. Oh,
wow.
Oh.
Oh, wow.
Okay, y'all. So, full transparency, I I
used the cotton setting for the
polyester fabric, so I apologize. Um, it
was a little smoky, so it got a little
extra press, but I mean, never hurt
nobody. Okay, let's take a look. Let's
see what we got. There is some debris.
Okay, sublimation. Actually, I don't
know what happened here cuz I used brand
new. I literally just so like you all
know like I you watched me get the new
butcher paper. This was not here before.
So I mean honestly I don't think you
need to be doing
I give sealing sublimation a thumbs
down. Like not really not really it like
it left it did more damage than good. So
okay there's that one. On to the next.
All right, my friends. For the final
test, we are doing what in my opinion
this is actually made for where it comes
to sublimation DTF. Now, we made one of
these pretty quickly because I wanted to
test this and our printer was giving us
not the perfect result. So, if it
doesn't look perfect, it's totally fine.
But, we made it made do with what we
got. So, what I've done is I've
prepressed a white cotton t-shirt. And
if you've never done DTF, I think you're
will be amazed at how amazing it is. Um,
no matter what. But then we are going to
test it with the magic seal. Are you
guys ready? So, I pre-pressed it. We are
going to press this normally before
adding the sealant at 385 for 35
seconds. So, another CraftCon logo who
is so hot. I mean, y'all, the energy
we're bringing to CraftCon is like no
other. So, be ready for amazing crafting
all the time. It's so fun.
[Applause]
All right, so I've got this right here.
We're going to do 35 seconds at 385
and then we'll show you what it looks
like. So, this is again turning
sublimation into DTF, pressing it on the
shirt. We're going to look at what it
looks like before. We're go add the
spray and then we will see is the magic
sealant worth it. I mean obviously just
if it just works for your heat transfer
vinyl projects, it's worth it. Just your
gang sheets, it's worth it. Regular heat
transfer vinyl. So incredible. Um I'm
really really impressed. So, okay, we're
ready to lift it up right here.
All right.
Now, this is a completely cold peel. So,
we got to pull it out.
Take it right here. We've got to let it
cool on down. Cool down a ton. A ton. A
ton. A ton. A ton. So, it's hot, hot,
hot. So, we got to got to let it cool,
cool, cool. So, let's just let it cool,
cool, cool. Give it a couple minutes.
Shake it out. Shake it out. Shake it
out.
We are not going to touch it until it's
a completely cold peel. All right. So,
we're going to peel this back. I'm just
going to again forewarn y'all. Our
printer has been giving us trouble. So,
the quality, don't don't judge us by
based off the quality. Judge the
technique. All right. So, come close.
Come close. Come here. And I want you
guys to take a look at what we have got
so far. So, when we look at it, let's
just focus in on the black. Obviously, I
blame the printer for like not going,
you know, deeper and like these lines
just don't look super clean. That is not
the results you would normally get. It's
definitely our printer. You can see like
the rollers, but I wanted to make sure
this video got out to you. So, look
here. You know, it's not rich into the
fabric um and things like that. So, now
we're going to put it back into the heat
press and we are going to press it at
325 for I think about 20 seconds.
after we spray it. So, we're going to
spray it just a couple of times.
Beautiful.
Beautiful. All right. Go grab a Teflon.
I also love that they sent us a Teflon.
That was so sweet. It It came with the
spray, which is super cool. All right,
so we're gonna put the Teflon on here.
And we dropped it down to 325 for 20
seconds. And now we're just going to
press.
I'm super excited to see what this looks
like. And I don't think it'll be a true
comparison just because the print didn't
look perfect. So, it won't be super
impressive, but we'll know if it like it
adheres deeper and richer into the
fabric. You know what I mean? All right.
Here we go.
Woo.
Okay.
Okay. Oh no.
Oh my.
Oh my.
Oh my.
Does it look good? That's That's a good
question.
It actually does look good. Did I ruin a
Teflon sheet to make it happen? Maybe.
Dang, it looks good. What?
Guys, this material is the weirdest
material I've ever worked with.
I don't know why this happened, but
look. Look right here. It went richer
and deeper into the fabric, which is
exactly what it's supposed to do.
And like it feels completely different.
Completely completely different. I mean,
it looks like it is just been, you know,
directly imprinted on the shirt. Like,
this feels so good, y'all. This is
crazy. I cannot believe you stuck around
this long in the video because boy oh
boy, have we been through it. Whether
you're doing your own DTF through
sublimation, whether you are wanting to
take the amazing gang sheets and be able
to seal them deeper with the actual uh
transfer sheets, whether you want to
make your heat transfer vinyl look
better. This is so so incredible.
Sublimation, don't think it's really
worth it, but that's my own opinion. You
can chime off in the comments. What did
