It Took FIVE FILIPINOs to Save Us From THIS!

yeah yes yes that's right it's here now okay i'll calm down thank you you have to get it i'll go and pick it up it's fine i'll just you're not going to listen when you're running yeah i've been in the gym i've been working out this is why i've been in the gym been building my strength i'll just kind of put it like on my head and just kind of i'll be right back [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] and you'd be right but it's only for a week basically we tried to plan this so that they could take away the sofa at the same time they agreed to it but then the people that are having this new sofa can't accept it until after the holidays which isn't until the fourth of january so now we have like a weird two sofa lounge going yeah it is big we're gonna have to get used to this but ever since we moved into this place it didn't used to matter because we weren't here as much and we were traveling around but ever since we've spent more time in the apartment the one thing that has been on our minds is that the sofa isn't too comfortable okay it is in it's big have you shown it yet guys it's big wait for the rivet okay we're gonna wait for the big reveal still got towel on the door so as you guys know of trusty this got us through quarantine it's got through a ton of netflix sessions how many food videos did we film on that reaction video so many right yes but i need we need to sort out all the wiring so basically we need to go to ace hardware or something today yeah we do okay guys we now currently have an editing sofa for the desk because this isn't being picked up for a while so for now lucy's just arranging the table but for an hour this is where this sofa is going to live but obviously not permanently because it pretty much takes up the whole apartment so i went down to get the delivery and i saw it we've been trying to measure up because we bought it we got all excited paid all the money yesterday there's only yesterday and then we got home and we're like hmm this is actually going to have to get inside our elevator in our building and come all the way up will it fit so this morning i was out there in the in the corridor measuring with a measuring tape the width of the elevator doors to see if the sofa would already fit and my measurements the results came back um neither here or there really because i was like okay depends how it's packaged depends what angle they're going out if they i kind of pictured it going in so if this is the elevator i'll do like a lucy special this is the elevator and this is the sofa it wouldn't go in like this it's too tall you're always like quite a visual learner you're a visual person um it would it was too tall to just go in like this and it wouldn't have gone in like that so we had to like go in and go up like that thankfully we got in but the four guys who helped us thank you so much we did of course tip them but those guys i don't know how many more deliveries deliveries they've got today but they had to firstly load it into the van take it from in our in our basement we've got actually steps up to the elevator so at first they had to get out the van and then carry up like 10 steps and then get it in the elevator getting it through this door was a little bit of a mission i think you saw it in one of these clips but so so happy it looks so nice we will do the grand reveal in just a second i hope you guys like it as well but definitely suits the apartment it doesn't look too big it definitely looks bigger but that was the idea we wanted to be bigger more comfortable whenever you say too big i'm like water my head is now about me are you ready to show yeah should we put pillows on it or should we oh don't sit on that oh sorry so it is time to return so it is time to reveal the new sofa you ready oh the camera lights up that's such a rubbish so unsatisfying yeah there we go there we go look at it let me show you the size because i'm i'm five foot nine i'm tall oh i can actually lie on it i can lie how's that us our current sofa comes up to here yeah this ah you're not you're not joining me this is mine no no no no no this is lovely that's how big it is and actually look it fits like on the rug and i can be like this eat my dinner you can be over there we can both of our legs up this is gonna do okay first time sitting down that's not in the shop oh yes look how far away you are yes oh my god we got after going yesterday to the shop we came back and we sat down that's over and we were like look at this we're so close to each other now we don't have to be near each other at all which is great kidding we can actually probably both lie on this in the evenings oh guys netflix sessions just leveled up 2021 is the level up year we got some more plans for this apartment coming soon guys don't you worry keep tuned on the channel we're actually going to be um kind of revealing some plans for 2021 soon and travel and what's going to happen with us and where we're going what we're doing now comes the final touches to the interior design this is going to another unit if you're wondering yeah so our landlord let us replace it basically and they can't have it until the fourth yeah so that's okay it's not too bad so we've got editing sofa until the fourth of jan look it actually goes really well because it's crisscross on the on the chat table true crisscross here and these are like a bit crisscross it looks pretty they do go yeah it looks pretty grand maybe we can uh buy some new pillows for it but i quite like this because the lighter color looks really good in there true honestly i was expecting that to go a little bit wrong when them guys were just trying to get it in it really didn't look good it they were like back and forth and at one point i was like okay what do we do take the door frame off is there a way to take it apart to make it smaller and fit it in but anyway they were so amazing they literally tried all the angles they managed to squeeze it in they even took their shoes off bless them they didn't have to do that really nice i can now say it's in finally george was saying downstairs i had a little bit of trouble getting up the stairs as well it's super heavy compared to our old one it's like like three times the weight because it's a much higher quality and we actually got it in the sale it was 20 off at abinson and yeah we got 20 off of it so we actually managed to get quite a good deal there i thought and also if it hadn't actually fit like at all there was no way to get it in because that would have been possible fair enough getting out the lifter up the stairs but if it didn't fit in the doorway what do you do it's not it's not something you can like cut in half and fix back together it's not one that's like in different pieces so if we had to give it back they'd have had to take it back to the store and so we'd have lost out on like the delivery fee and then we'd have to try and get a refund on the actual item and we've already arranged for the old one to be taken so it would have been a lot of hassle and we'd have to have then gone out again and found another sofa and that's what we spent all day yesterday doing and a quick funny story the sofa in our lounge now is the first sofa we saw the first safe we sat on and asked for the price of uh we then spent four hours walking around bgc in very hot heat i'll add in our face mask and shields and ended up going for the first one we saw so that seems to always happen with us we need to just be better at making the quicker decisions and just saying yep that's perfect let's go for it instead of the whole like what if there's something better if you see something you like don't look around for something else for four hours so that was amazing and they basically saved us because that would have really sucked because i love this sofa and i wouldn't have wanted to get a different one and the whole hassle of getting a different one would have been quite a big job considering our plans over the next few days so it might seem small and insignificant but for us this is game changer because i think 2020 made us appreciate the smaller things and actually this is quite a big thing this big thing for us gonna improve our life yeah you're probably watching like it's only a sofa but trust me the old sofa the old sofa let me just give you a little experience for one second so firstly the material is like sat it's like sandpaper yeah it's like rough so it's not very nice to like sit on it's not soft it's soft it is nice it feels like a duvet this is like quite rough secondly there's wooden beams underneath it that there's not enough it's like a sponge instead of it being like a pillow it's like the cushion is like this thick yeah you sit on it and it goes this thick yeah exactly and the beans they it's fine for like 30 minutes it's literally so oh it's fine eat my dinner or whatever but as soon as you like watch a movie or you've got a series on after like one episode of a series after one hour you're like oh okay let's go to the bedroom i can't sit here it's too uncomfortable and we just can't enjoy the space we're in the view we have and like we love this place so much the sofa was really something that made us not want to spend time out here yeah um so it may sound like a small thing but for us it's actually quite a big thing absolutely i'm very pleased and now we can have the ultimate chill yes so keep those netflix recommendations coming in guys we are very very happy we haven't asked this in so long what are you currently watching on netflix we've already done like a lot of them we're halfway through the crown we've watched the queen's gambit we've watched a lot yeah but um always open to recommendations thanks again to those guys that helped us uh we definitely couldn't have done that on our own and then i think you said there was a point where i was outside watching them trying to get it in from the other side i was like i was like oh my god we've got it this far um i didn't even i was worried about the lift i didn't even think about this i don't think about this door's not very big it's not very tall or very wide but there we go we did it we're in um we will see you guys in the next video hope you enjoyed this one just want to check in with you we know when we speak bgc from other places around the world and they find that our videos are quite helpful for them in sort of in sort of getting used to the area and seeing where we like to go for coffee and restaurants and costs for things and the general bgc lifestyle is apparently quite helpful for some of you guys yeah we've actually had some people say that they're moving to bgc because they've watched our vlogs
