Boyfriend Reacts to my BIKINI PAGEANT TRANSFORMATION (Miss Universe 2020 Reaction)

So today's video is a bit of a random one because I had this idea and I wanted to try it out and it's actually fitting in perfectly with what's going on right now. So it's Miss Universe 2021, this kind of whole weekend. And I believe it's Monday at 8.30 is the final or the actual kind of main event. Where we're filming right now, it was, yesterday was the costume round, the national costumes, and there were some insane outfits. I've been watching bits and bobs all over TikTok and YouTube and things. Is there a way we can watch the final? Can we do, I mean, wouldn't it be awesome to do some kind of live stream? The Philippines contestant is, now I'd love you guys to help me with pronouncing her first name. Is it Rabiah or Rabiah? Rabiah, Rabiah Mateo. I followed her on Instagram for a long time now and her costume was, I think, 20 kilograms and it was incredible. It had the huge kind of Victoria's Secret style wings in the Philippines flag colors. So there was blue and red, and then also the stars as well on the top of it. It was insane. Her shoes were huge and I don't know how she carried 20 kilograms of weight on there, but obviously we're wishing her all the luck in the world with the competition going forward. And another costume that stood out was Miss Singapore. She was wearing this beautiful cloak at the back of her gown and it was red and white and it said stop Asian hate on it as she turned around and it was just so powerful. Such an incredible message and so, so important right now. So we've been enjoying kind of dipping in and out of the competition and we look forward to Monday's finals. And it kind of leads in with an idea I had a while ago. I think I mentioned it on my channel, The Lucy Vlog. I did a reaction video to my old pageant vlog. So in 2017, I think it was, I was a finalist for Miss Brighton, which is our hometown in England. And I did like a, it was the only pageant I've ever done, but I came third, which was really, really cool. I'm going to put some clips in now of that. ♪ Wishes to have a car for you ♪ ♪ And even be my friends again ♪ ♪ Since there ain't nobody else than you ♪ ♪ Take all my weakness ♪ And as you can see, I look very, very different and I was fully tanned, like the most tanned I've ever been. I had someone come around to my house and do a full spray tan. I had these big nails on, I had my huge hair and there was all the same kind of rounds as Miss Universe. We had a bikini round, formal, that kind of, I think there was four or five different rounds and it was a really, really fun experience. I'm glad I did it. And I thought today, because I haven't, I no longer wear as much makeup as I used to. I mean, I've now got kind of longer nails again, more recently, but I thought it'd be fun today to kind of try to make myself look like I used to in my pageant days, or it's only one pageant, but you get the idea, and surprise George with like the full completed look because he hasn't seen me like that in a very long time. So I thought that'd be fun today. I did actually try and tan, but you can't tell. I bought this tan off Lazada. It probably is just a very cheap, not very good one. It was a self tanning lotion. I tried to put it on last night. I mean, I think I look a tiny bit more tan than normal, but you can't really tell. I'm just very pale. I mean, actually, my face, I didn't tan my face. My face looks more pale than my arms. So maybe it works a little bit. And I've also got some fake eyelashes because these are like key for a pageant. And I'm going to try and like make myself look how I used to look. It's funny to get my hair curlers out and make my hair look a little bit bigger than it does now. I don't have any heels that are quite right for a pageant. I know that it's usually more of a platform heel. I had some huge like six inch heels on in my pageant, but I've only got more like court shoes here, but it's fine. We'll just make do with what we've got and see if we can make me look more pageanty today. But I would love to hear your guys' predictions on who you think is going to win. And if any of you guys are watching as well, if you're keeping up with it all, I feel like there's such a big excitement in the Philippines right now, because obviously in the past, they've had a lot of winners from Miss Universe, including Catriona Gray, who's awesome. And beauty pageants are definitely, definitely such a big part of the culture here in the Philippines. So it's exciting. I feel very excited. It feels like in England, I feel like the equivalent is when there's a World Cup, a football World Cup playing, and England are playing, and everyone's kind of talking about it. So it feels like kind of an excitement, a buzz around the city. So very cool. I want to do my makeup now and my hair. I'm going to try on these eyelashes and then go and surprise George. Look at the difference in my eyes right now. This is so naked compared to this. It's crazy. I've not worn fake eyelashes for years, but I used to wear these every single day to my old job. Believe it or not, I used to tweeze them onto my eyes every day. Somehow, I don't know how I did that for so long, but I think I'd want to do it every day here, especially not because of the Philippines heat. I think that probably makes it worse. In the UK, I guess it didn't matter as much, but I just remember them falling off all throughout the day and I'd have this glue in my bag. It was a bit annoying, so I'm glad I no longer do that. Okay, so I'm a different person to when I started this vlog this morning. Bit of a drastic difference. Definitely remembering this look very well. Only remotely pageant-y looking earrings I have are these. They're like shiny and big. So I think that kind of works. So I'll pop these in. I just curled my hair a little bit. I mean, ideally, I'd have rollers or some sort of blow-dry to make my hair actually big at the top, but I don't have that. So we might do, yeah, super glam earrings. And obviously, I don't have any ball gowns or anything that could be used as a costume or anything. So we're going in for bikini round because that's the only thing that I have that resembles an actual pageant look. So there we are. There's the earrings on. So I'm gonna get into a bikini now, as you do. And surprise George with a makeover. Okay, here is the final look. I literally look like such a different person. It's crazy. I've got a simple bikini on. Hang on, if I put my heels on, you'll see me better. Honestly, so weird seeing myself this glammed up. It's been a very long time. How would I have my hair? Like half in front, half behind? Yeah, maybe something like that. So weird, so bizarre. Actual bikini I wore for Miss Brighton was actually black and I don't have any black bikinis, but I thought this one would do as well. But how do you guys think I did? Comment below what you think of my pageant look. I think if I could choose, I'd have bigger hair for sure. Correct heels, this is what we're working with today. But I think I did quite well. Excited to see what George thinks because like I said before, I wear a lot less makeup than this. Usually my face is normally a lot more natural looking. This is definitely more glam than I'd go for on a day to day. I'm just waiting for him to tell me he's ready and then I can make my big entrance. And then here's just a little close up in actual daylight of my makeup. So big eyelashes, big amounts of highlighter, lots of contouring all over my face as you can see and lots of lipstick as well. Okay. Okay, so- George is here. Lucy this morning said, I'm gonna recreate my pageant look. I've kind of got an intro already. In honor. Oh yeah, yeah. I'm just explaining from my point of view what I've been told. In honor of, what is it? Miss- Miss Universe. It doesn't get much bigger than that. So we thought we'd mark the occasion. Lucy said, George, you're gonna have to sit down on camera and react or look, or am I judging? You can judge me. All right, I'm gonna judge you. In my, what are you wearing? Are you in a dress or bikini round or what? It's a ball gown. Yeah. Ball gown? Yeah. How did you get a ball gown? I just found one in the cupboard. Are you doing a few rounds or is it just- Just a one round. Oh wow, okay. So I said, yeah, sure. I'll sit down and do that, that's fine. Three. I'm behind you by the way. Okay, we need some dramatic music in the edit. Three. Yeah. Two. Wait, hang on, just for clarification. I nearly lifted that. George, sorry, George has not seen me in a full face of makeup for a very long time. Oh, you've done all the makeup and everything. I've done everything. Do you have a tiara? I haven't won yet. Okay, fair enough. If you say I win, if you say I win, then you need to find me a tiara, a crown to put on. All right, I'll get you one from somewhere. Three, two, one. Ta-da! Stop! Wow, hello. You need to look at my face as well. Okay, yeah, I'll look at your face as well, okay. Wow, awesome. How different does it look with eyelashes? Totally different. And I am a little bit tanned. The tan works a little bit. The tan works. A little bit. Believe it or not. I was expecting a full gown. Yeah, I tricked you. Wow, so this is the swimwear round. This is, yeah. I'm gonna give this seven out of 10. I'm joking. No, that's insane, nice. I'm gonna look at your makeup close. Let's get a close up on the makeup because I feel like that is the main, wow. That is the main thing. The lashes. Okay, wow, also the heels. Can we talk about the heels? They're not very good, are they? I know they're not pageant heels. I get it. Are they not? Why not? Because pageant heels have got a big platform. I thought that's what you were saying. So are we off to the beach now? I feel like we're ready for a beach day now. I'm not ready for a beach. This is stuck heavy on my face. I'm so hot right now. Imagine wearing that to the beach. How long did it take you? Probably like 20 minutes. Wow, that's awesome. And now I'm nearly your height. Yeah, that's so cool. Okay, I'd just like to say that when Lucy, I've really good memories from the time that you did Miss Brighton. Lucy came third in Miss Brighton, which is awesome. At first, I used to think pageants were all about kind of looks and beauty, which they are. It's a big part of it. Nothing wrong with appreciating beauty in the world in many forms. But then once you got going and once you started talking to those other girls and hearing people's stories. And it's a lot about charity as well. I mean, we raised a ton of money. Yeah, there's a charity side to it. Actually, I actually jumped out of an aeroplane for the pageant. I did a skydive for the sake of a pageant. Put a little clip in, here. And we raised loads of money for that. And we did other events and stuff and a lot of charity work for sure. Wow, you look so nice though. Oh my God, look at Lucy's eyes. I'm like blown away stood here. I thought, do you know, I just suddenly got nervous. I'm like, there's a really good looking girl standing very close to me, talking to me. How do I look all right? Do I have bad breath? Yeah, you do. Do I smell like coffee? Do I smell nice? You're making me nervous, man. I'm not even joking. That was a real reaction. Your fear makes you nervous. I'm dressing like this every single day. I'm like, oh God, I need to start flirting with her or something. But how do I do that? I'm actually sweating. Can we put the air conditioning on? I'm embarrassed. You've made me go red. Have I gone red? You've made me go red. I'm red. I'm embarrassed as well now. I was prepared for a reaction, but then that actually came out of nowhere. What was I, anyway? What was I talking about? You were saying, it's not all about beauty. I met the other girls. After that reaction, I was like, it's not about beauty. But no, it's, there was a lot of, it's more about confidence and celebrating not only your body, but celebrating your personality and your individuality, I think. There were so many different girls in the pageant. Yeah. And it was just amazing to see. I've got very good memories from that time. I have a challenge for you, if you're willing to accept. Am I doing what? Am I doing my version? You. Get the tan out. I'm gonna give you a phrase that's been spoken about a lot recently in the pageant world. Okay. And you need to do what you think that phrase is. Oh, wow. All right. I need you to do a tornado walk. Tornado walk? But wait, let me set the camera up. I've never heard of that. You just need to take that in your head and do what you think that would look like. So stand at the end. Let's see how he does. Tornado walk? I actually don't know what this is, genuinely. Yeah, I know. That's why I'm asking you to do it. Okay, ready? Five, six, seven, eight. No. Something like that? Try again, try again, try again. What do you mean try again? It's not that, to do something different. Think about a pageant. Would you see someone in a pageant doing that? Oh, I know. This is gonna make me really dizzy. Yes, it should. Yes! I can't do it very much. That's stage one tornado walk. Can I try? How many do people do? I've seen someone do four. What? In heels, in like ridiculous heels. Okay, please don't fall over. This is a hard floor. Okay, I've never done this. So bear with me, okay, ready? Okay. I'm gonna do it really slowly to start with. All right. Whoa, you nearly hit the shoes. You nearly. But the thing is, after it, right? The spinning's fine. I'm so dizzy. You have to carry on your walk in a straight line after. That's the thing. Okay, ready? Let's try again. Carry on. That was not very straight. You keep hitting this nearly. Well, I didn't, did I? Well, no, you didn't, but. All right, congratulations, that's good. Okay, these lockdown vlogs just got way more interesting. Yeah. I'm gonna sit here now and calm down a little bit. I feel very overdressed compared to you. Oh, don't worry about that.
