Will We Be Leaving The Philippines?

[Music] good morning guys good morning saturday morning for us enjoying right now a little green juice ereto sent this over um we've shown you this company before camera gonna focus there we go this is the little green juice which we're starting our day with we've actually been starting our day also with celery juice raw celery juice let me show you the fridge quickly got this huge bag delivered this morning fresh from a farm and it was full of celery which is now in here so this whole drawer and also in here is our celery that we're going to juice fresh for the next few days and actually just to balance this out start this vlog with a what's in my fridge to balance out that um encanto actually you have sent us also some beers to enjoy i had one of these last night one of my favorite lockdown memories well welcome to the vlog welcome back um feels like it's been a little while since we've just picked up the camera and had a general chat and catch up with you guys we did a lot of food videos last few last few vlogs this week really have been either there were some we did some food videos and then we did some kind of like sit this is really risky i'm balancing the camera otherwise balancing the camera on the edge of the sofa which is so thin but i feel like it's going to be right if i don't move too much so yeah welcome to today's vlog welcome we've actually got a cool thing we're off to do in a while we'll bring you along food related again i was checking i was checking my phone and news articles and stuff this morning and it looks like the philippines may be opening up for tourism soon there's um a few articles that have been coming out and it's looking like it's heading in the right direction which would mean that if lucy and i left we would be able to get back in because at the moment they're only open to filipinos and other certain people they're limiting who can get in at the moment same with a lot of countries but we would just like to know that there would be no problems with us getting back in to the philippines if we were to leave but we haven't seen our family for over a year now well over a year a year and a half january march april may yeah a year and a half and that's tough that's really really tough on us we're very homely people i know it might seem like we're these travelers who go off and travel the world and well it hasn't looked like that for the last year but who go off and are carefree and um visit all these different places and travel and you know all this cool stuff we do which and you know it doesn't take away from that because we love doing that and we are those people who love doing that but ultimately family is the most important thing in the world to us and we haven't seen them for so long and it starting to not feel good start to not feel right so we do really want to get back to the uk um [Music] yeah that's what's going on as you know we do have the new condo that we need to sort out there are a few barriers and obstacles but we need to enjoy that as well we need to enjoy our new place um that has been slight not delayed i don't want to be all this like youtube can't tell you this can't tell you that um we're basically waiting on something with the new apartment there might be something cool happening in terms of getting it sorted out for us to move into basically so we've been kind of waiting on a few things and that's why we haven't been in there for a little while so yeah green juice in the morning encanto beer in the evening um the weekend we're still doing the food thing planned the food kind of meal set meals that we've been on we've been doing that monday to friday and at the weekends we're being a little bit less strict so today we are off for a delicious what i'm hoping well it will be delicious because we've been to this place before and we're going to bring you guys along lucy's in there getting ready actually reading this book i haven't done book reviews for a while but i've been trying to read a little bit more lately and not be on social media and stuff this is a book lucy got me for my birthday better than before mastering the habits of everyday lives i'm only literally i'm literally that far in so i can't really tell you what it's about or if it's amazing and i must recommend it to you but so far so good i'm enjoying it it's talking about reasons behind our habits and what makes a habit and why habits are hard to form oh there was a really good section which i now can't remember or find yes that's it it's saying that habits habits aren't about making decisions habits are about taking away decision making a habit i don't decide to go and make my morning coffee every morning i just do it i don't decide to have a shower every morning i'll just do it it's a habit so habits are there to take away decisions so your brain it was about brain um it was about headspace and stuff habits can help you clear your mind a little bit more because there's certain things if you get into the habit of doing it you don't have to use the brain power to actually decide to do it anyway that's what i've taken from that so far pretty good any book recommendations let me know because i'm big into reading again at the moment and i just realized the whole vlog so far our microphone was not plugged into the camera because i stole the cable to play call of duty the other day so the good audio is back how does that sound hope that sounds a lot better let's go [Music] afternoon thank you so today we are headed in i mean we just drive the car when we have a chance to drive the car these days we can't go on any road trips so if it's like a restaurant that's not exactly outside our apartment we get in the car because we miss our car and whoa what's that queue for the korean place korean place the barbecue place you went to that crazy queue that's insane wow awesome leading wow that's really good to see so we're headed out now to a restaurant in bgc that we've been to several times and it's one of our favorite italian spots here it's called motorinos and they've invited george and i down for lunch today just to try out some some nice food on their menu and and it's just a nice weekend treat for us we thought we'd bring you guys along today going out for a meal in a restaurant is like a ceremony these days because i mean there were many months when we couldn't go to restaurants so that's one reason and we really appreciate any chance we get to go and have a nice meal out and i feel like we savor it a little bit more now and appreciate it more and also because like george said we've got the meal plans in the week so when we have a weekend day we like to enjoy some slightly less healthy maybe and a little bit more naughty food um and that's what we're doing today we need to get back indoors it is so hot today [Music] it's already full lighting i just want to top it up cheers hope everyone's doing well who's watching this vlog right now we're very excited to be here we haven't actually sat in this restaurant for a long time maybe only once but motorino motorino was one of the saviors during the first lockdown for us wasn't it we ordered their pizza on the regular twice a week maybe like twice a month twice at no more than that way more than that anyway they've very kindly invited us over something that we don't take for granted as youtubers being invited someone to eat very very kind so thanks to the team at motorino is very very friendly here and they're actually preparing all the food fresh for us today so we're gonna wait 10-15 minutes i might be able to go and see the pizza ovens we're having some pizza some pasta some chicken we ordered we pre-ordered so there's a few different things coming um and we'll share it with you guys i wish we could share it with you more physically but we can't but you just have to watch us eat it yeah we enjoy watching other vloggers eat so hopefully you guys can enjoy this as [Music] well i've been through heartaches i've been to heaven i've done my best and my worst learned my lessons no matter how hard my life would treat me i'd always get right back up never worry cause i got a million reasons [Music] george you missed it i saw them making the pizza did you know they weigh it on a scale the toppings it's all measured on a scale so you have like salami pizza they measure the salami the garlic the chilies the cheese the different types of cheese consistency yeah it's interesting yeah i did very quickly run out the kitchen when they started there was something in the oven i had to get out before putting our pizza in i felt like i was a bit in the way and they've got these big sticks so i quickly evacuated and i filmed from the distance as to not disrupt the kitchen flow as i know kitchens are a stressful environment and they don't need vloggers in there i was gonna say going like this holding cameras around it's not very helpful is it but it was cool to see and it was cool to see how it's made um and it's super fresh the dough was fresh it wasn't like a frozen pizza base or something or like a pre-made it was all fresh saw them stretching out the dough putting all the delicious toppings on i think we've got two pizzas coming we've got a salami no we've got a suppressor for kanto kante which is spicy and salami and chilies and garlic and cheese and we've also got my all-time favorite from here which is a barata mozzarella like the proper thick chunks of mozzarella this almost goes like kind of wet it's just delicious [Music] okay we're gonna try oh chicken wing just place my hands i've never eaten chicken when we've been open for i'm gonna have to use my hands i don't know if that's the wrong etiquette but chicken wings need to be eaten with hands so sorry if this offends anyone they're roasted chicken wings they actually put these in the pizza oven i think i saw them being cooked and i've never known taking when to cook like this but this is my favorite part of it i think a lot of people like this part because there's more meat on it but i find the skin on this bit is delicious and there's a bit more flavor [Music] so nice i feel like italian flavors aren't often known for their chicken wings are they no but this is lovely there's like a lot of olive oil drizzled on top um skin's really nice it kind of tastes like a roast dinner chicken type flavor you all really like this george george doesn't like wings as much because we've put a bit of effort into eating them it's not like you can just pick it up and put it in your mouth but for me it's worth the effort [Music] clean bones that's what you like to see okay i'm gonna look at that are you handing it straight yeah go straight with some pizza this is i think it has to be my favorite pizza just like a pepperoni or as they call it salamento you know what they call it [Music] that's the one and this is the one i saw being made how fresh this is it looks delicious so you got you've got like the hard crust but yes but the end is like slightly floppy that's what i love to see that's a good pizza consistency oh oh god so delicious crispy on the outside and then slightly soft when you get into it slightly spicy there's chillies all over the salami is there chillies yeah the red dots are chilling your eyes are watery yeah obviously gives it that heat but oh man i could just this is weekend food man i could eat this all day right i'm gonna try these prawns because they look so good we've also had some pasta delivered freshly made nice some other stuff coming as well look at that wow thank you okay and then the dessert just arrived which we will save for a second these prawns are swimming in what i think is olive oil and garlic onions just gonna get the prawns some of the onion on there yum that is so fresh so delicious i think fresh is the word with those we squeezed some lemon on there as well and with those red onions yeah it does give you island vibes okay that is the mushroom creamy mushroom pasta and try a bit mmm so nice subtle taste the mushrooms taste so good it tastes like a really fresh pasta spaghetti very creamy you know what i'd love a bit of parmesan on top i think that's why what it's missing but it's really tasty wow i also just tried some of this pasta and i usually avoid the white creamier pastas because i find them a bit sickening usually but that one i took a small bite tentatively but actually it's not too creamy at all it tastes very high quality pasta's really good the mushroom's good the flavor isn't overpowerful and it doesn't taste just like it's full of cream like sometimes creamy pastas do so i could probably eat the whole thing of that but lucy's now got a little mixture of pizza and pasta oh let me show you this the dessert has arrived and can you guess the dessert guys one of our favorite and it it looks absolutely delicious look at the size look at that a beautiful tiramisu which i will dive into shortly [Music] okay so here's the burrato it's got some normal or like mozzarella cheese but i think there's also underneath it here but then the baratas the big dollops on top with some fresh basil nice crunchy crust oops i've done that badly i've lost all of the cheese there you go look at that super creamy just love the flavor of it i don't know what it is about it it's kind of a tiny bit sweet in a way it's very different it's not got the kind of strong sharpness of normal cheese you might get on a pizza but so good it's one of my favorites here table has been cleared by the way we never ever waste food when we do these food videos these food reviews if we order we often get given a lot more food than the two people need because places often like to show us their range of their menu so we're getting it for takeout we will eat it later with a little bit of netflix that's my plan but it is time now for the grand finale ladies and gentlemen welcome to the stage the tiramisu [Music] um this particular tiramisu was flown in from italy this morning can you believe it i have to say this place is authentic the pizza is very italian tasting i have this great memory of luciano in rome where we bought some italian pizza and it was delicious and how good does this pizza look wow wow wow wow um but no we're going to tuck into this now [Music] but no sir on a serious note tiramisu i love tiramisu so much that friends of ours actually bought me a huge tiramisu for my birthday which is still half it's in the freezer but we have been enjoying that all right oh wow enjoys food even starts vibrating start shaking this is delicious you've actually got i think it's like ladies fingers in there oh no sue's fingers kieran finger tiramisu's fingers in here but they've really soaked up the coffee wow that's one of the best tiramisu's i've tried not too sweet when i was a kid i would have wanted the sweetest possible dessert and just loaded me with sugar but as i've matured into my later years hardly or more recent years i wouldn't call you mature no i'm not but my taste buds have matured slightly and i now prefer a more sophisticated dessert a more salty dessert no not salty but this just isn't overly sugary and sweet or too creamy even i think they've got the balance on this one just right so whoever made this not like [Music] you
