Hearing Our Babies HEARTBEAT for the FIRST TIME! (Ultrasound at St. Lukes Hospital BGC)

[Music] it feels so weird talking to the camera about this um we've known for a few weeks obviously and you guys would have already seen a couple of videos we're filming this a few months I don't know when we're telling you guys we're filming this in the past it's not right now when I'm filming this but when you're watching this if that makes any sense and we've been trying to just act normal online as though nothing's changed um even around friends and family and it's kind of felt crazy but today is huge day for us because we're going to the hospital to have our very first ultrasound to hopefully hear the heartbeat and check on a few things the baby I can't believe I'm saying that onto a camera I cannot get my head up head around it it's so weird because this is the first time we filmed us finding out but we didn't you guys have already seen but we haven't vlogged about the baby yet we did we just set the camera up and it was just there in the background I've got like a shaky voice I can't believe it at this moment in time as we're filming this sat here we haven't announced it to you guys to anyone no one knows we're filming this is in the past but yeah okay weird so there's a load to update you on I don't know how much I'm gonna say in this video but we've got a ton more videos coming soon obviously and we're gonna try and document as much as we can filming today I'm between seven and a half and nine weeks no seven and a half and nine and a half weeks pregnant basically I've done a few calculators online to try and figure out the exact date and they base it off like your cycle length and loads of different things and they keep giving me different readings but also today hopefully we can find out how far along we are if it is nine and a half weeks I think it's the size of a cherry so it's like this and this is kind of surreal I've been feeling all the pretty much most symptoms you can get so it's been kind kind of rough rough few weeks I've been feeling very sick very very sick all day I've been put off a lot of food and I've really just not wanting to eat like most of the food we used to eat so you know you know we had them um meal plans them like packet meals we had before can't go near them now the smell of it just makes me want to be sick I've only actually been sick once or if this is too much information but I'm gonna be open with you guys and I don't mind saying that so I felt that I've had a lot of like aches and pains and things and I've been so tired I've been sleeping loads I've been having naps in the day George has been amazing he just sits and does loads of editing and he's been taking control of the Vlogs a bit I felt weird about vlogging since finding out because I'm not lying when I Vlog but I'm not like if Droid is like well how are you today or whatever I can't tell you exactly how I am because I'm not allowed to say the real truth yet so it's been a weird few weeks it's been an amazing few weeks we still can't believe it we wake up in the morning and we're like oh my goodness is that really real we go to bed at night like it's just so surreal we've taken several pregnancy tests and we keep double checking um but it's just I don't know it's just crazy we just can't believe it I don't know how much we're gonna say in the videos that you've already seen but I'll say it again just in case we didn't mention it we're just so excited I don't know what it is when you when you decide to start trying for a baby things go through your mind and you think what if I can't have kids or what if there's a problem and the fact that we got pregnant fairly quickly is just like the biggest blessing and we feel very lucky we feel very grateful and today is like an official the first time we're seeing anyone and it's the first Like official visit and hopefully we get to hear a heartbeat which is just absolutely mind-blowing the fact that I think the baby if it's nine and a half weeks it's already like um it already looks a bit like a fetus it already looks like a little baby like a week or two ago it looked very um there was like something I don't know all the technical terms but there was something coming out the front of it and that's now inside it and my organs are being formed in hands and toes are being made and its ears are being formed I had an app on my phone a little notification the other day that said its ears are being formed and I don't know it's just crazy so we need to leave in around what time is it it's nearly two o'clock we need to leave it too yeah the appointments are 2 40. I need to drink water apparently I need to drink a liter of water you know why I do know why not leave my bowel no to move my bladder a full bladder makes it easier for the ultrasound to be seen for the baby to be seen and who else thought an ultrasound was your stomach me yeah we had we had a form through and it's um it'll be interesting isn't it one of those ones nice and invasive um but I guess I have to get used to that now it's just normal life I think we're just gonna walk over there in a sec it's very warm yeah we're going to try it we're not sure what we're not we don't know how to approach this as vloggers this whole process because we need to really enjoy it for the moment that it is but we also want to capture it to look back on in the future I want to remember this forever I've always filmed Our Lives we filmed moving into our first apartment we filmed going traveling for the first time and all of that we filmed moving into this place buying our new condo we're about to be moving into that so we're gonna document this journey but we want to bring you guys along every step of the way that we can um minus the actual scan today I will not be filming that together um chest strap oh my God no chess will be okay um also we keep referring it to as it or P we said p a few times haven't we called it Little P but Woody I've we've both got this gutter feeling that it's a girl I don't know why we just both think yeah we both think it's a girl and I always talk about it and I just imagine a baby now I don't imagine a baby boy currently we have a girl's name but we don't have yeah we have a hundred percent a girl's name we actually have two girls names we like yeah so there's twins we would find out to David's twin that would be today oh my God I'd probably have a bit of a panic attack I'd be happy but I'd also take some time to get my head around that both of our families are full of girls as well you've got two sisters you're not been super hard at the moment we haven't told anyone at this stage of filming this clip apart from my sister yes and Mike her fiance because Auntie and Uncle but the only reason we told them is because my sister is a midwife yeah and because we're obviously out in the Philippines we don't know we don't know how different it is to the UK the process of when you first get pregnant yeah so we wanted to run everything by Emily and kind of she can be there to help us and she's been so amazing she's been sending you so many messages yeah and obviously we wanted to have someone that I I didn't know how it worked here I didn't know if I could just text the doctor I wanted someone that if I felt this feeling or if I did this or that I can just quickly text and get an answer and Emily's been amazing with that yeah also now we know that I can text the doctor whenever I want so we're a little bit more chilled now but yeah this is so weird I imagine if you accidentally put this on this in tomorrow's Vlog when we're doing like a restaurant taste or something restaurant taster crazy shall we go yeah also I can't wear most of my clothes anymore I love tight fitting yeah and Lucy's got to be you're slightly showing a little bit already I think I'm just bloated I don't know I could be showing but my I I'm kind of I kind of people know on Instagram and Vlogs and stuff I've got a little bit of definition in my stomach that's honestly gone um almost pretty much gone so I can't wear the clothes I used to I'm just wearing all this loose fitting clothing we saw Mike and Nelly the other day and I was like I had a huge jumper on I was so hot and we haven't really you haven't felt like doing much you've been right resting in the bedroom but we've still been trying to obviously like go about our lives and make our videos and see friends a little bit but we've been kind of like turning down opportunities or if people have wanted to meet up sometimes you just aren't feeling up to it so we've had to like get out of it I just constantly feel tired and like our lives changed a lot but we can't explain 20 anyone why like my canelli cooked us dinner the other night which was so nice so awkward Lucy had to say oh like I'm trying to avoid certain foods at the moment I had to pretend that I had a thing where I I couldn't eat these like different food because there's a lot of foods I can't now eat so ordering in restaurants has been 10 times harder and I just sound like this crazy fussy eater um but we had to like really look after you and just make sure you're resting and like this comes first now and I saw everything Vlogs yeah uploading but I struggled doing nothing I'm the sort of person I hate sitting in bed all day and I'm like oh I could be doing so much and I really like want to get on with it but then I'm also like come on it's not about me now I've been an absolute Legend because I've just been doing he has history but the other day we were walking back from the shop and there was like George had three big heavy carrier bags full of groceries and I said to George can I carry can I carry something I I let me help and you went what did you say you said do you want me to carry those I was like no you're cat you're already carrying our child you don't need to carry anything else thanks anyway we need to go together I need to drink a liter of water actually fill your bladder yeah and then we'll get going and I wonder what the hospital are gonna think with this camera I know what if they've had vloggers before all right if not we'll have to switch to phone but let's find out this is my stomach the current answer I'm wearing shorts I don't know it's kind of like can you see I don't know yeah I think I think you can kind of see if you turn this side you see like a bit that's me very relaxed pull it down [Music] yeah I think but I think but I've lost my abs yeah I mean I look like that after eating the beginning of the year I was like New Year's resolutions I'm gonna get a six pack this year yeah the thing is I think that's why I've been so lucky because you've been at the peak of your fitness and health true for this moment yeah and we've I don't know when we're saying like how long we've been wanting this but it's been a long time and getting healthy and fit was all part of it okay let's go but then you came [Music] alongs and make them better yeah you you're making me wanna try forever [Music] okay sadly I've actually just been told that I have to wait outside because of the current covid restrictions for partners I'm not actually allowed to go into the room with Lucy or to even wait in there with her so she's on her own now we're kind of we're texting we're messaging each other um kind of sad I totally understand it every I understand the policy and that everyone's got to be safe but I was looking forward to it today I was looking forward to hopefully seeing a heartbeat and stuff like that but time together as well so Lucy will have to update me when she comes out this is the baby it looks like a shrimp wow it's a curled shrimp so it's the cut right in the middle of the baby yeah so if we measure that that is a registration the crown to The Romp yeah okay Brown The Rock length here around eight weeks and one day okay okay and then if you can sew that little circle there is like you know how chickens have egg yolks yeah so that's our yolk sack and you can see the high beating right inside the baby oh my God yeah okay so let's listen to the heartbeat yeah yes please can you yeah okay thank you so here's the baby in the shop right hold on you can see the umbilical cord where it's connecting yeah up there to the baby it's a baby shrimp the hot bait yeah and then the heartbeat let me turn it on the air so you can record [Music] thank you that's amazing thank you so much thank you [Music] yeah see if he moves it around yeah oh whoa it looks like a baby [Music] wow [Music] that is crazy because yeah that's perfect thank you so much thank you all right thank you so much wow perfect so far okay that was Lucy just showed me the whole appointment which was so nice I'm so glad you managed to record that because I was getting a little bit emotional outside I actually teared up at one point um I did a click on my phone which kind of said that I understand that they have to do that yeah and we didn't know that though so I think expectation wise we were very disappointed but we totally get why now that you filmed that I feel so much better you feel like you were there I feel like I was there I heard everything she said yes um I just did like a voice recording for the bit I wasn't meant to film just so George can hear what what she told me everything's good yeah everything looks good and normal and that's because this is the first time we've been into a hospital for the baby yeah and that's what you want to hear that this was a fetal viability scan viability scan so basically seeing if you actually have a baby and like how it's looking stuff oh it's overwhelming but it's incredible yeah we can show you this and we have our first ever photo of the baby which is just next level and the heartbeats on the bottom foreign [Music] try and calm down a little bit yeah we just listened to the heartbeat which you guys heard and that's it it's real and this is the first proper confirmation we've had I guess we've done the pregnancy test and things but it's now like no longer peeing on a stick it's like a a doctor has confirmed that it's that there you go there it is it's a heartbeat so yeah come back in nine months and we'll have babies I'm eight weeks now eight weeks one day one week less than I thought we were although my back predicted so eight weeks in one day and we're not sure when we're gonna I know the kind of usual is to tell people around 12 weeks yeah like family and stuff we might do it I might we might tell family a bit earlier but we might wait to like publish it online yeah we're gonna wait later to actually put it on the Vlog so this will go out when you're watching this this was filmed a while ago yeah but yeah it's gonna be hard to keep this from people now as it's more official no so hard crazy but we're so happy new chapter in our lives it will never be the same now oh we were watching Netflix last night and we were just kind of relaxing and I was like these are the last few months we're gonna be able to do this we're going to say oh let's just watch a film like everything's gonna change and I'm so glad we have built this life that we've been building over the last few years with the channel and vlogging and travel and stuff like that so incredibly grateful for everyone who watches our videos and supports us because it means that we're going to be able to spend so much time with our kid yeah we're gonna have to be able to be there so you don't have to go off for the whole day and one of us like our parents did your parents did that my parents did that yeah and like I don't know it's going to be amazing we're so so grateful for that and feel very blessed and it's all a bit it's all very very very um I would don't say overwhelming because that sounds negative but of course hugely positive it's a huge bit but I really want to tell everyone because I feel like we um we would love that love and support around us I think now because it's just gonna be so excited our families are going to be so excited your mum keeps telling us we've always done stuff the two of us yeah haven't we going off and doing whatever we want um and believing in ourselves and stuff and this is just like my voice is shaky you're both gonna cry on camera but oh well real life we're gonna document this and yeah I've got to be honest
