Designed by John Irving and built by Henry Dunham Building, this bold and unexpected addition transforms a classic bungalow with a striking rear pavilion for modern living. The original home was fully renovated to include three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a new master suite—all while maintaining its unchanged street presence.

At the back, a sleek extension with black joinery, cedar ceilings, and dark timber floors creates a calm, retreat-like space. A full-height cedar sliding cavity door separates old from new, connecting bedrooms to the kitchen and lounge, flowing out to the garden. The interiors, styled by Katie Lockhart Studio, bring a distinct mood and refined palette.
