It's now 4 a.m.
It's like 8 o'clock and the sun's just rising now.
So we've come down to the beach to watch it.
I've got my mittens on and I'm holding the camera with mittens on
so let's hope I don't drop it.
But it's so nice, isn't it? I'm so glad we came down.
This is the second time. I'm doing a two but you can't see it.
This is the second time we've done this recently.
We weren't vlogging the first time but look at the sun on our faces.
Look at that lighting.
It's so nice.
Let's just stay here and film here all day.
I look bronze.
Yeah, compared to me.
And that blue sky behind.
It's very nice.
So we're just enjoying this for a second and then we're going to go for a walk.
So this is potentially, well I think it is, right?
The final video on the channel.
Yeah.
Not ever.
This is big.
Not ever, ever.
The final video ever.
Before the baby's born because we don't know when it's going to be
but I'm almost 39 weeks now and it could happen today.
It could happen in a couple of weeks from now
but this is going to be the final video until the baby's born.
I don't know when the next video back will be.
It could be like tomorrow because it could work out timing wise.
Knowing us.
Yeah.
It could work out timing wise that it ends up being like.
Basically we're quite ahead on videos at the moment
so it means that we didn't want to leave too much of a gap on the channel for you guys
but also we don't know.
We tried to plan so you guys would still have videos to watch.
Yeah.
But also it's hard to plan so far ahead because.
Yeah.
Obviously we don't want to be like too ahead or too behind.
So we've got like a small buffer
but right now he might have already been born when you're watching this.
That is a possibility.
But we'll tell you as soon as we're ready to, as soon as we can.
And check out our Instagrams.
I have a feeling that Instagram might be the official like sneak peak announcement potentially.
I don't know.
Maybe.
I don't know.
If we're not uploading a vlog yet when he's born if we're having a little gap.
So make sure you are following our Instagrams.
But we don't know what we're going to do yet.
So basically just hang on in there with us.
Bear with us.
And we'll just see, see what happens.
So I don't want to say fully ready
but I feel like we're as ready as we probably can be up to this point.
In terms of.
Apart from editing this one vlog.
In terms of practical things like the apartment's ready.
We've got all the equipment we need.
Yeah.
We've read some books.
We've had some lessons.
But emotionally I think it's hard to ever be fully ready.
We're trying to actually imagine having a tiny human to look after going forwards from now.
We were lying in bed this morning like there'll be something in that cot soon like a human that we have the responsibility for.
Like it's crazy.
It's such a weird feeling.
We need to document this moment as one of the last moments of just the two of us.
It's been the two of us since we got together.
Yeah.
And it's never going to be the same again.
No it's so crazy.
In the best possible way.
Yeah.
We thought today we would try like.
There's obviously different ways to have a baby.
And we're going for like.
Trying to do like a natural birth but sort of see what happens.
Open to what we need to do.
If we need a cesarean or if we need to have like.
If I need to have drugs or whatever.
Then I'll do it.
I'm not like saying no to anything.
Right now.
There are ways that you can like.
Help a natural birth happen apparently.
According to like old wives tales and like things you've read on the internet.
Some are probably a load of rubbish.
Some probably do help.
So we thought we'd try a few of them out today and over the next few days.
To sort of try to start things happening.
To get labour to happen as naturally as possible.
But disclaimer like honestly.
If I need to be induced.
If I need to have something like I'm not against them.
And we'll just do whatever's right and whatever's safe for us and the baby at the time.
But we thought yeah today might be fun to like.
Try and do a few things.
Yeah.
And see what happens.
The first one being exercise.
So we've come out for a walk.
We probably would have done this anyway.
But it just so happens that I might go into labour soon.
They even had a section in our antenatal classes about inducing labour.
And things you can do.
Around this time.
Once you're full term.
I don't know if they recommend it.
But they say you can do it.
And it's not harmful to do it or anything like that.
So you may as well try it.
Yeah.
It's like there's nothing wrong with doing a few of these things.
Another one.
You hear things about spicy food.
Yeah.
And some other things like that.
We'll talk about it today.
And another thing that will not be recorded on camera.
So I know some of you are thinking it.
That is the number one thing apparently that can induce labour.
On every blog post you read it's number one.
And it's actually.
I'm not going to go into it now.
Because I probably will get told off by YouTube.
Look it up.
There's an interesting reason as to why.
It is.
It's a scientific.
Something to do with the man.
Chemicals.
A chemical.
It's very interesting.
So look it up.
It's actually a scientific reason.
It's not just like the movement.
Okay.
Let's stop.
Another one we heard about was bumpy car ride.
Yeah.
So I reckon we get the 3 series into sport mode later.
Go up a hill.
Yeah.
Find a hill somewhere.
Do a little bit of drifting.
And just go crazy in sport mode.
Or just drive here on this.
Drive on this.
I don't think so.
But this is.
I have to say.
I mean we haven't had much good weather lately.
And this is super nice to get out early in the morning.
Anytime I see like a sun on my phone.
Weather report thing.
I'm like right George.
We're getting out.
At 6am.
We're going to get showered.
We're going to have breakfast.
And then at 8 o'clock we're going to head down to the beach.
Yeah.
Which we've done today.
So it's so nice.
And there are a tonne of people out.
We even saw people swimming.
Which is crazy.
We are.
Yeah it's beautiful.
We are wrapped up.
We've got a hoodie.
A t-shirt.
Jacket.
Lucy's even got some gloves.
I think it's 4 degrees.
It's 4 degrees.
We saw some people swimming with no.
Pretty much no clothing on.
Yeah.
They weren't naked.
Very brave.
Very.
No just short to whatever.
Very very brave.
But there's runners out.
There's joggers out.
There's dog walkers out.
Kids off to school on their bikes.
So it's so nice.
I think this is like a special time of the day.
The morning.
Comment below if you're a morning person or an evening person.
We've definitely switched lately.
I used to be evening.
But now I'm definitely a morning person.
So on to the next challenge.
Extra hot chicken vindaloo.
And extra hot in England I feel like is extra hot.
Isn't it?
Yeah I'm a bit nervous for you.
Yeah.
But we could have the baby today if you do that.
I was going to cook something spicy but then I thought I'd just overdo it.
And it would just taste horrible because I put so much chilli in it.
And then we can't eat the whole thing.
We have to finish that though.
I'll try some.
This is going to be delicious hopefully.
But I think it's going to be really spicy.
So that's your lunch.
Where's mine?
You're not having a baby.
I've got coffee then.
So you can have just coffee.
What are you saying?
It's on.
It's a panning shot.
I'm terrified.
Also I'm fluffy.
I'm taking my jumper off.
So ignore the fact that I look like a sheep.
It looks really spicy.
Doesn't that just look like it's going to be hot?
It does.
It looks hot.
It's a really dark sauce.
Oh my god.
Oh I'm a bit nervous.
I don't think I want to eat it.
Try it.
It's only just come out of the microwave so it's going to be so hot as well.
What if it's really hot and it actually hurts me?
You're good with spicy food generally.
Not a vindaloo.
I have a vindaloo in the Manila.
But the vindaloo in Manila is like a madras in England.
Any curry heads?
Curry heads?
Is that a word?
Like petrol head?
Curry heads.
It's really spicy.
Is it?
It's really like you're not going to want any of that.
Really?
I separated out half of it.
It's really hot.
I really, it's a really, actually it's delicious.
It's a really nice taste.
My entire mouth has been coated in chilli.
Oh no.
Okay I'm not doing that.
I'm not doing that to myself.
But it's a lovely taste.
It's actually really nice.
That's probably the nicest supermarket curry I've ever had.
Really?
But this presents a problem.
I now genuinely do not know what I'm going to eat for lunch.
Oh I'm not allowed to do the weather check.
We banned talking about the weather on the vlog.
How about we ban talking about when the weather's nice.
Because there's nothing wrong with sharing a beautiful day with our lovely subscribers
that we love so much and appreciate every single day.
Try using the camera.
No way.
People are going to be sat there like, oh I wish I saw Georgie eating that.
Because that's what I'd be thinking.
Alright fine, quick weather check and then I'll try it.
So then this is the weather that we are experiencing today.
Look at it, beautiful, beautiful.
Very few clouds.
Sun is still out.
Look at that.
There's actually another funny reason why you should eat spicy food and it's not what
you think.
It's actually something more to do with something that I don't really want to say out loud,
especially while I'm eating.
What?
Do you remember what they said in the class?
The reason that spicy food helps.
No, I forgot.
It's to do with what happens after you eat spicy food.
Oh, really?
Yeah, do you remember what they said?
Oh no, we don't need that.
Yeah.
Is that really?
Well that helps.
Yep, definitely.
Alright, good luck to you.
It's not about the spice or the shock or anything.
It's about what happens to your body after you eat spicy food and then that can trigger
something else.
Wow.
Okay, I am going to try a little bit.
A little bit of this then.
Not for that reason.
No, not for that reason.
A little bit nervous, but sometimes in life it is good to get out of your comfort zone.
And spicy food, I mean, I like some spicy food, you know, but like if this is really,
really spicy.
I'll change the lighting, it's a little bit dark.
If this is really, really spicy, I may struggle slightly.
How much did you put in?
Hardly any.
Don't bother then.
That is spicy, man.
At least try it.
It tastes great though.
Doesn't it?
Like you say.
The actual flavour.
Oh.
Down my throat now.
That is really spicy.
I don't know why I'm washing it down with coffee.
I'm going to drink it because hot drinks will be horrible, I reckon.
That will make it worse.
Oh, there's milk in it.
Oh no, it's not dairy.
Oat milk.
That will make it spicier.
Oh, the flavour's great but it's super hot.
Really hot.
I ate all of it.
I think I'm going to cry for the first time on the vlog.
Actually, I've cried on the vlog when we found out we're having a baby.
I was about to say, this is making me cry more.
Not in the same way.
Another thing we read is that dates apparently are good.
So I've been having...
Oh, I'm so on fire.
Oh, you're on fire as well.
I've been having like a lot of dates per day.
I think it's like...
Was it 60 grams?
Or 30 to 60?
60 to 80 grams a day.
Yeah, apparently that helps.
Are they good?
Helping with the...
You got it on the sofa.
We're going to have to let go of things like that.
We often keep things so nice and tidy and clean, but I think we're going to...
If he spills a little...
If he gets a bit of milk on the sofa, we're just going to have to be like, that's fine.
You do you.
We'll clean it.
We'll just leave it.
We'll clean it, yeah.
Just want to quickly show you guys the beautiful lighting we get in our bedroom around this
time of day.
Look at that.
It's so nice and peaceful in here.
Such nice lighting.
I love the little sort of lookout side here, into the green outdoors.
And then we've got a view of more green this way as well, which is so nice.
The fact that we actually get all the afternoon sun here with the bay windows, the wraparound
windows is just one of my favorite parts of being here.
We still need to...
I can't see.
I've just looked into the sun for too long and I cannot see anything.
Don't recommend doing that.
I do not recommend it.
We need to build our...
Well, not build.
We've already built them.
We need to make the three beds for the baby.
So we've got the big cot in the nursery that he won't sleep in for about six months, but
we can...
I'm going to sit in the sun.
It's nice.
He can't sleep in that until he's six months old because he needs to sleep in whatever
room we're in and we're not going to be sleeping on the floor in the nursery.
But we might end up putting him in that to sort of play in sometimes.
Now I'm moving out of the sun again.
Sorry, it's stupid.
Where am I?
Wait.
There I am.
We may end up using that as sort of like a play area maybe and have some time in there
after changing his nappy and things like that.
Then we've got this one here, which is the snooze pod.
And I don't think I've actually filmed this yet.
This was actually very kindly gifted to us.
And it's basically a...
It's a bedside crib that has an attachment.
So we had some comments when I put this on my Instagram saying it's too close to the
window, it's too close to the radiator, so hot and cold temperature wise.
But it's actually going to be over this side of the room.
We're going to move the bed over and we're going to strap it against the bed so that
this part here, you can see the little zips going down.
This part actually folds downwards.
It means that in the night I can...
It will stay up and then when it's time to feed him, I can just sort of zip it down and
reach in and get him there.
So it's going to come in incredibly useful.
And yeah, it's just something we really, really love and I'm excited to make it up.
So we need to put the sheets and things on that.
We've got the mattress and sheets already and I've washed all the bedding and things
properly.
And the last thing is the Moses basket, which is going to stay in the lounge for now.
We just want to put the mattress, the waterproof mattress cover, and then the actual sheet
on that.
So that if he's having a nap in the day, but in the lounge, we can have options.
We've got three beds for him, lucky baby, one person, three beds.
I believe George is actually cooking dinner again tonight.
I know, shock.
He actually cooked it last night and it was really nice, but it was so funny.
We weren't vlogging, but I'm going to insert the clips from that now because he did like
an Instagram story about it.
And yeah, it was interesting.
It wasn't a very complex recipe.
He made it quite complicated, but I'm going to put that in now.
So as you know, if you follow us regularly, Lucy here does pretty much all the cooking.
Let's not lie, all the cooking in our household.
However, tonight I am making dinner.
I got bought from my parents this, which is a roasting tin book, which is all the meals
in one tin.
So this evening I am attempting to create dinner.
I'm going to bring you guys along.
We're not vlogging this, so this is an Instagram special.
How do you think I'm going to do?
Vote here if you think it's going to be a roaring success or an epic fail.
Vote right now.
So this is the one we've gone for.
It's a smoky sausage, sweet potato and red onion tray bake.
Looks delicious in the photo.
And there's only three steps.
And one of the steps is turn the oven on.
And as Lucy said, the third step of three is put it in the oven.
So step one is turn the oven on.
Step three is put it in the oven.
I don't quite see what can go wrong here.
Okay, it's going well so far.
We have the ingredients in here.
This has been the easy bit.
This next part is more of a chef thing, like creative.
So this is where you can really enhance the meal.
We're going to do two teaspoons of paprika.
This is sort of the...
Three.
Three?
So three.
Yeah.
This is sort of the part where, you know, it requires a little bit of skill.
You may need to get it out.
One.
It's not even spread out.
Slow down.
Two.
So you need...
See, this is the more sort of advanced part.
So it does take a little bit of knowledge, skill, experience.
Luckily, I did actually do food tech.
How many have you done?
Is that about five?
No, that's about three overall.
So now we're going to get this in the oven.
So ready to go in.
I think you need salt and pepper.
No, no, no.
Olive oil.
Literally, you had one...
You had one...
One step.
And then over the top with some extra virgin olive oil.
Nice and generous on that.
Beautiful.
And then you literally just bash it in the oven.
There you go.
See you in...
How long?
50 minutes.
Read...
It's the third step.
Oh, yeah.
Step three.
It's so easy.
Step three.
50 minutes.
So we go up here.
50 minutes.
Gosh, it's going to take a while to get to...
Oh, this only does...
Oh, no.
Here we are.
50 minutes.
Gosh.
51 minutes.
That'll be fine.
A little bit extra crispy.
And tonight, I think we've got lamb on the menu, so I'm looking forward to that.
Not having to cook.
I've still cooked breakfast and lunch, but he's doing dinner for the next few days because
he got a new cookbook, as you saw in them stories, so very exciting.
But it's crazy.
This is literally the last video until the baby's here, I think, because we want to just
take some time once the baby's here to kind of get used to parenthood.
And it's also crazy.
One day, he might watch these videos.
He might not.
He might hate YouTube, but he might watch these videos.
Imagine sort of seeing your parents getting ready like a few days before you're born.
It's just crazy.
I don't know.
It blows my mind.
So I hope you enjoyed this video today.
If our son is watching, we're very excited to meet you.
And I don't know, just imagine being able to watch your parents before you're born.
Like the run-up before you're born, how they're feeling.
YouTube is crazy.
If anyone's having a baby, I recommend filming a little mini vlog or just some phone clips
just around the time of the baby being born, and then you can show your baby how you're
feeling before they were born.
How am I feeling?
I'm feeling anxious, but very excited, like anxious in a kind of in a good way because
it's so unknown.
It's something we've never gone through.
I've never had a contraction.
I've never had a baby.
I've never had been in labor and had pain like that.
I don't know what to expect at all.
And we just can't wait to meet him and get to know him and learn about his personality.
And it's a whole human that's half George and half me.
And it's just amazing.
So yeah, very, very exciting times ahead.
If anyone's got any other induction methods that they've heard of, comment below because
I feel like we did a few today, but I think there are some other ones we missed out.
And I don't know.
Who knows if it worked?
I guess we'll find out soon.
I haven't felt anything yet, but I guess we'll find out soon.
So thank you so much for watching this video today.
We'll see you when there's three of us the next time.
Give the video a big thumbs up if you enjoyed it.
Subscribe if you're new, and we'll see you very, very soon, hopefully in the next vlog.
Goodbye.
