For one man, Adrian Pearce, he had an excellent reason to think of his high school girlfriend, Vicki Allen. When they broke up during their junior year, back in the 1970s, Allen gave Pearce a goodbye Christmas gift. 47 years later, the gift remained unopened. Every year, Pearce placed the Christmas gift underneath the tree, but could never bring himself to open it.
