It seems like things keep going wrong over in this house. Maybe it's my perspective that needs to change, but it sure feels like lately we aren't catching a break. Danielle is sick, I cracked the stovetop and now our brand new fridge is making a noise I haven't heard before and it's flaring up my Fridgegate PTSD. At least some new things are happening that I can look forward to!
Life has been... life.
I forgot to mention Danielle's not been feeling well.
And then this happened and just like killed it. Killed it all. It just ruined it.
What's up friends? How are you?
Before I tell you about me, I want to know for real, how are you?
Because life has been... life.
We've been experiencing life.
You know, a couple videos ago I shared just about, you know, life is feeling heavy,
not knowing why. And it still feels like that.
You know, it's been like that probably for a few weeks now.
And it's just kind of like one thing after another.
And it's not even like big things. It's just like feeling that feeling.
And then like other things happening on top of that.
Like one, yesterday I was cleaning up the house.
I was feeling good. Like it was actually like, this is nice.
I'm getting the house in order. Things are looking good.
And then this happened and just like killed it. Killed it all. It just ruined it.
So I was clearing this counter right here and there's some glass milk jars
that I wasn't sure if they were clean or not.
So I was just going to move them to the sink and rewash them.
Well, I picked up three of them, one in my arm here and then two like this.
And then I caught this one right here on the underneath of this cabinet.
And it knocked it out of my hand and just went, doom, and cracked.
Our oven, brand new oven.
And I'm pretty sure the warranty is not going to cover that.
So there's that. And then this happened today.
And I don't know if you can hear that.
But our fridge, and that's a quieter version of it, has been making this noise.
And I'm just having a little PTSD from our last fridge situation.
So I'm hoping it's just the ice maker.
But I have not heard that noise since we've had it, not constantly.
And I'm pretty sure that this thing's full of ice.
Anyways, maybe it's nothing.
But it's just got my heart going a little bit today.
So with all that said, things are still feeling a little overwhelming.
But two things.
One, so we had some people comment in the last video
just talking about you've taken on a lot of responsibilities.
You have more animals.
You have your children.
You have this house.
So it might feel a little overwhelming.
Maybe you have not necessarily taken on too much, but just taking on a lot.
And it's feeling a little bit weighted.
And I thought that was a really good point.
And it made me think how I was tending to myself.
I think that's super important, too.
When you're focused on other people and other things and other responsibilities,
it's easy to neglect yourself.
And so since then, two things have happened.
One, I've started working on music more.
And that has actually helped tremendously.
Having just an outlet, something to create and to just kind of relieve
some thoughts and feelings.
So I'm excited to do more of that.
Let me know if you're excited, too.
And then secondly, this was just a blessing, a huge blessing.
We were reached out to by Green Chef, and they asked us to partner with them.
And I couldn't think of a better time to do that.
Because that's one thing I pretty much take care of is all the meals around here.
And so not having to worry about a few meals this week feels really nice.
I obviously have to make them, but I don't have to think about it.
It's all right here.
Ingredient list.
Instruction list.
And so obviously, when I see these and I see them, you know, ads for them,
it sounds really nice, but it's so hard for our family to do that.
Well, Green Chef, they're not only CCOF certified organic,
they are certified gluten free.
Well, at least these meals are.
And that blew my mind.
You can't find that anywhere.
So I was like, yes, please.
We're doing it.
I need it.
And so that's what I'm doing tonight.
I'm about to make this Sunny Southwest beef patties.
I did kind of fail because I should have gotten some vegetarian meals
because some of our kids still don't eat meat.
And so that's fine.
I'm just going to like a baked potato in the oven or something.
They're going to just eat the sides, which look delicious.
And a baked potato.
How many people out there know what I'm talking about when it's like
maybe your family has some kind of autoimmune issue or just
something that it makes it really hard to go out and get meals at a restaurant,
but especially to have something shipped to your house
and hope that it's safe for your family.
We know all about it.
I ended up going with the keto option, actually, which the meals looked amazing.
That's why I was like, OK, it's certified gluten free.
And look how like yummy that looks.
Let's see if I can make it look just as good as this.
I think I can.
I think I will.
So I'm excited to try this.
If you guys want to try it too, they gave us a code.
You can use murrays60 at greenchef.com to get 60% off.
That's a steal.
60% off your first box.
You kind of have to try it.
All right.
So we're about to dig into this keto box.
See if we can make a chef of me yet.
Like how convenient and easy is this?
They just send everything in a bag, send you the ingredients,
send you the recipes and how to make this stuff.
And then you call it a day.
It's like I had a chef come into my house and prep all this food for me.
Instead, they just put in a box and sent it to my house.
And not only that, they're sending you delicious,
nutritious meals with organic protein and wild caught seafood options.
Guys, I'm excited to do this.
Let's go.
Look at this.
Organic bell pepper, organic cilantro, organic carrots.
Guys, what have I stumbled upon?
Green Chef is a CCOF certified organic company with options for every lifestyle
like keto and paleo, vegan, vegetarian, fast and fit, Mediterranean,
and most importantly to us, gluten free.
I'm about to plate this.
The food is done.
Let's give it a go.
See how it tastes.
There it is.
All right.
It's done.
It looks really, really good.
Here we go.
That's really good.
It's something I've never ever made before.
And now we'll be in a repertoire.
Is that the right word?
Repertoire.
Egg, top of a beef patty, some yummy veggies and yummy sauce.
Well done, Green Chef.
Well done.
All right.
I need to feed the kids, but I'm enjoying the quiet by myself.
They're watching a movie.
I'm going to feed them some of this and some potatoes for the other kids.
Guys, greenchef.com, Murray's 60 for 60% off.
At least get the first box.
I mean, that's a huge discount.
You couldn't go to the grocery store and get meals for that cheap.
Not with this quality.
So at least do that.
Try it out.
See if you like it.
And this is something we'll keep doing.
Because how nice is it to have meals in your fridge already laid out there for you?
I'll tell you what, for us, that's huge.
And we will make great use of it.
What do you think?
Yummy.
You like that, Marim?
I like it.
You didn't even eat it.
More?
Here you go, Ty.
What is it?
It is, I forget what it's called, but it's delicious.
It's sour cream and cilantro, like sauce.
And there's onions, carrots, green peppers on the bottom.
What do you think?
Oh goodness, he's already decided he wanted to wear the rest of his food.
What are you doing, bro?
Why are you doing that?
Eat it.
I think it was a success overall.
Danielle suggested, she said, why don't you just cook the potatoes like the same way as the burgers
and then just put the potato with the egg on top.
And I was like, I didn't think about it.
But next time, that's absolutely what we're doing for our vegetarian kids.
Because this, I want this meal again.
It's really good.
Oh, what to drink?
I wonder what I should drink.
Maybe I could drink some milk or maybe some milk or some milk or maybe some milk
or soy milk for the kids that like soy milk and more milk and milk, milk, milk.
It's getting crazy here.
The milk supply is wild.
All right, Lainey made Rice Krispie Treats yesterday.
Was it yesterday?
So we are going to partake in their deliciousness.
Thank you for making these, Lainey.
You're welcome.
If you want to place your order for Lainey's Krispie Treats,
just go ahead and tell us how much you need in the comments below.
And we'll ship them right out.
Actually, there's no more.
They've just been doing this the last few days, if you will,
like where they just, for some reason, a grip on themselves and lose it.
Does anybody else's kids do this?
Because it's driving me insane.
Insane.
All right, kids are in bed for the most part.
There's a mess in this kitchen, but I ain't gonna clean it.
I cleaned all day yesterday and it's just not gonna happen
because I have to go out right now and get the cow hay,
make sure the chickens are put away,
and then I can come in and have some music stuff I need to work on.
What you working on?
In school.
Whoops, I missed that one.
I forgot to mention Danielle's not been feeling well.
That's why you haven't seen her today.
So that's why the last couple days has been even extra crazy around here.
Yeah, so that's kind of been our day.
What our days have been looking like the last couple days are
the girls going into the room with Danielle and doing homeschool during the day
and then kind of like sprinkling it in through the rest of the day.
They've got this like app on the iPad that's,
I don't even know what it is, teaching them something.
All kinds of stuff.
So they're working on that as well.
It's just kind of been like all throughout the day.
Just, I don't know, crazy randomness, but it's working and we're getting through
and hopefully she'll be feeling better soon.
Anyways, love you guys.
We'll see y'all later.
Goodbye.
