it is now time to hear from our honoree ladies and gentlemen missy elliott [Applause] take your time take your time museums but each moment is just a blessing for me i think each and every one of y'all out here everybody on the committee all of you over here that's sitting here clearly i invited y'all because y'all have been um my fans back there i love you and i'm gonna try to make this quick because i know they said i had three minutes but i'm gonna go fast i i want to thank god first of all um because i've been sick there's times i've been sick anxiety depression [Applause] god in faith i kept going if i hadn't i wouldn't be standing here from a start come here 20 something years ago and just used to walk past all of these stars and just imagine and um it's just a blessing to dream big and it truly happened i'm truly standing here from virginia i want to send love to everybody from virginia 7-5-7 i love y'all my mother who has been the backbone to everything that you see standing here um timberland who couldn't be here but that is my right hand and we spent so many times at his house dreaming of just doing music not even being successful but just doing music and and we stuck by each other all the music is okay bumblebee now this whoa okay so so um timberland i love you magu genuine tweet nicole playa uh sylvia rome who was the first to sign me sylvia and meryl and bob who believed in me i didn't want to be an artist and they told me that if i gave them one album they would give me a record label and so from that one album ended up six and i thank them for believing me julie greenwald craig cowan kaiser everybody at atlantic i thank y'all y'all are my family i love y'all thank y'all for being here camille karen chris hi hat who from the beginning has been a choreographer of mine and hi hat i mean how had chris in height williams dave myers um you know behind the visuals that you've seen the missy elliott my glam squad keon my dancers all the dancers around the world y'all know i love y'all i love you i couldn't do this without y'all the dancers sean bankhead um the radio bloggers magazines and i wanted to take the time real quick to to um say i kind of give this to my female emcees and hip-hop to my sisters and hip-hop um i want to say i love each and every one of y'all the ones that's popping now the ones that's about to be popping um but i want to give a big big shout out to the godmothers of this and that is queen latifah moani love sharbra angie star roxanne chante yo-yo mc light salt and pepper and i know i'm probably missing some but all of y'all who started before me because y'all are the backs that we stand on y'all are the foundation and i couldn't stand here y'all y'all ran so we could walk y'all stood up for something so we could sit comfortably so i thank y'all for this moment and hollywood walk of fame lizzo and sierra i love y'all y'all are my sisters i love y'all dearly truly and that's it i'm sorry i took most of my time crying but this is this is a moment and and um i'll be back every night for the rest of my life laying by my star matter of fact who am i [Applause] who am i i don't know it don't matter i i thank y'all i think everyone out here everyone over here y'all know that y'all here because y'all are my family and i love y'all and love you to the cameras y'all make sure y'all make me look good okay smell down snatch thank you and that's it [Applause]
