I Was Teaching my Daughter All Wrong...
What determines a "good" day? For 37 years it's been how well I performed that day, how much I had gotten done. How much I could check off my list. I was also teaching this way of thinking to my children without even realizing it. I recently have had my eyes opened that my day being "good" or "bad" shouldn't come from my performance that day, but from the things that truly matter in my life. Waking up with good health, spending time with my wife and kids, having a God who loves me and saved me. Those things alone qualify a good day.
