The Meet Up We Had Been Waiting For!

welcome back to a brand new Vlog today you join us in angkan to be a rabbica when we lived here but Arabica is no more in Philippines or an ancan coffee is very very similar I would say it's slightly different less it's got less of a richness to it but it's still good currently having a chat with the Baristas here Coda and Lucy Lucy's grab a matcha and today if you've seen the previous Vlog we've been around SM aura walking around the High Street getting to grips with BGC again getting used to the Heat or trying to it's less humid than it was on our previous trip because it's not the rainy season anymore but it's still very hot 30 degrees plus we're talking we also walked from McKinley today we want to keep our steps up we want to try and keep exercising whilst we're here so we took the long walk into BGC but we've got a few hours because we need to go home finish this coffee the other way around finish this coffee go home freshen up because this evening we are seeing a friend who we have not seen for a very long time many of you will recognize him maybe some of you won't so we're going to meet up at the Venice Mall in a few hours which is nice and convenient because we're very close to that mall and as you can see with all the gear taking Coda around it's a little bit more tricky than it used to be then when it was just loose in eye continue yes ouch laughs [Music] one of the best purchases we ever made in Manila I think in lockdown maybe before lockdown was this clothes steamer and I actually miss using this yeah it's pretty big so I don't think we'd ever get this back to the UK but I think I need to get one in the UK for the dressing room because it makes such a difference and it's way better than ironing way nicer than ironing it's such a nice evening tonight this evening it's like late afternoon really see the mountains clearly behind me the Laguna Lake View and then it's so windy around the corner of the balcony and there's always a little patch of sun just here which is very nice but just enjoying the view and I'm actually wearing a dresser one in ages and I originally bought it because when I was just pregnant in 2021 in Manila I was wearing loads of tight clothing all the time and nothing that I had fit me so I had to buy something that was a little bit looser I still really like it now it was just so that we hadn't announced a pregnancy yet and I didn't want people just to see me walking around with a massive baby bum being like huh see it was one of those dresses that I bought to cover the bump because it's a little bit more flowy but it's so nice we're gonna head down to the mall which is amazing loads of dinner spots down here and I think we're gonna get some Chinese food and we've got a little bit of a reunion tonight it's so nice when we come to Manila because we've got so many people and friends that we know here basically spend most of our time here catching up with friends which is really nice and it's what it feels like such a home from home because we know so many people that live here look who it is look who it is after a long long time too long how are you doing good we've done all this off a little older yeah a little chubbier clean shaver now clean shave very unusual for me I'm not gonna do that again I've done it before I left resembled an egg yeah it was like a put on the teenage filter from pictures there's no smoothing going on in this video but we are with these guys we're going for some dinner we've had a little catch up in the condo coda's had a play you okay yeah having having fun been to the mall yet this is my first time Lucy came the other day to do some grocery shopping I haven't been in the mall yet no ah nice with that really nice atmosphere the baby's gone see you soon we'll pick him up in two days [Music] my body okay so the restaurant we wanted to go to next door was quite busy so they've actually put us in the restaurant next door to that but we can order from there because I think they're part of the same group so we've pretty much got private restaurant to ourselves which is nice loads of space loads of room push two tables together so we can order loads of food hi chair for coda I'm ready [Music] one of the chili wontons the sweet and sour chicken Shanghai Maine [Music] thank you fell asleep this is jet lag for you blessed him he didn't stay up for dinner oh wait wait wait wait [Music] it's like confident leaving okay okay [Music] now I'm sure you guys always remember the story when I burnt my mouth on these so I'm gonna wait about an hour before even thinking about touching these because I just burnt the inside of my mouth and it was awful so if anyone ever orders these do not just put it straight in make a little hole let it cool down
