The Amazing Spider-Man 2_ Emma Stone _Gwen Stacy_ Earth Hour Interview

Spider-Man I think is a perfect partner and symbol for Earth Hour because he is the everyman. And he represents someone that everybody can relate to in some way. Peter Parker is an incredibly relatable figure and every person can do their part no matter how big or small to help save the future of our planet. And it really is crunch time. It's kind of life or death at this point. And every small bit you can do, turning off your lights or turning off the sink while you're brushing your teeth. Or carpooling. Every little bit that you can do for our planet makes a difference. So it's a pretty good association. I'm proud of the bravery in this movie. The bravery of the filmmakers and of the people that wrote the story. It's a really courageous story to tell and it's a really important story to tell. The message of the movie is really beautiful and sometimes heartbreaking. But it's about someone learning to face their secrets and the truth and become who he's truly meant to be. And that's a really important part.
