They are the K-pop band BTS and they could soon be dancing back into the spotlight.
The superstar boy band went on hiatus nearly three years ago to perform mandatory military
service in South Korea. Another four members completed their enlistments this week and now
there is talk of a reunion and new music and fans worldwide are ready to let it roll.
Known for chart-topping catchy beats
and carefully choreographed moves, Korean pop group BTS is responsible for dozens of smash
hits in the U.S. and across the globe. The band hasn't released a joint project since 2022
when the seven men went on hiatus to enlist in mandatory South Korean military service.
But now the princes of pop could soon be reunited.
On Tuesday, members V and RM gave a brief impromptu saxophone performance
and greeted fans after they were discharged from service.
Please wait just a little longer and we will return, V promised.
Jin and J-Hope were already discharged. Jimin and Jungkook were released earlier today,
leaving just Suga who will complete his service later this month.
I'll work hard to make an album soon, RM told fans.
We have to practice the same choreography like again and again several hours every day.
We have to keep the promise.
The group spoke with CBS Sunday morning in 2019. They told Seth Doan they were ready to respond
to military duty when needed. Do you worry about breaking off,
separating, going different ways?
I don't want to think about it at this point, Jungkook said. We have something really good going.
That's the answer. We just enjoy the ride, live in the moment and that's all we could do.
Oh man, I mean.
They're going to come back even bigger and better and stronger and
more beloved because of what they've done serving their country.
That's right, serving their country. Coming back though is going to be huge.
I mean, I cannot tell you, if you don't know who these guys are, I'm talking about
older people, like kids know, young kids know, people my age know.
I know who they are.
You know who they are.
Are we going to the concert?
Let's do it. It's lit, concert's lit.
All right, I can't wait.
