Alright, I should get out of here. There's Yeah, this this family they had her daughter Cross into the driveway with a clear sign that says private property there and the lady came out instantly as soon as As soon as they walked onto the property, so My journey begins at North America's most northern drivable point The plan is to ride through Canada and America before crossing over to Europe from there I'll make my way across Asia and down to Australia New Zealand's southern most drivable point will mark the end of my journey I'm calling it the big spiral and this is act three across North America Good morning from Wendover, Utah I'm quite excited for today because we're gonna go visit the up house that You know the house from the movie up. Yes. Someone's built it over by Salt Lake City and I gotta go see it. That sounds so cool. And then after the up house, we're gonna head southwest into the bush into an area called nine mile Canyon and this is really beautiful red rock Canyon and Apparently it's filled with ancient paintings. So it should be a pretty cool day. So let's get on the bike and get going Okay Leaving Wendover And heading towards Provo I guess just south of Salt Lake I'm pretty curious about this up house like it looks like it's in like a residential neighborhood and It must get so many visitors. I wonder if it's a newer thing because it It doesn't have a ton of reviews yet But the neighbors just must be so annoyed that people are coming all the time to visit this house And then I also like because you know, like a movie house often isn't Designed to make sense, right? Like there might be big gaps in the walls like the floor out The floor layout may not make sense All this kind of stuff So I'm wondering like how they matched it to the movie like is it exactly like the movie And can I fly a drone there The neighbors was like it must be annoyed Just drones flying around all the time. I don't know Anyways, I got a little ways to go here You see driving halfway across the state This truck is Creating some wind disturbances But yeah, I guess we're driving through the salt flat now, it's just Over to the left of me is where where I wrote out on the salt flat But the highway basically goes right through the middle of it All right, so the up house is on the other side of those mountains So I'm gonna take a little canyon road that goes in between those mountains Toll booth ahead Hi Can I drive all the way through to Salt Lake? Okay, so I got to pay the toll to do that Okay Oh, gotcha Okay Okay, all right, thank you Oops, oh, well that was nice of her It's pretty It's very pretty Oh, I think we're getting to gravel here Sounds great To be honest, I thought it was gonna be paved the whole way but it's not and I'm happy about that Temperatures definitely dropping up here All colors are really coming out here Oh, I'm gonna guess we're at the top then Oh and it's taped up here. Oh Yeah, there we go, that's cool Somewhere down there is the up house All right Totally blind. They want me to go by but it's totally fine Thank you. Oh It is pretty in here though Okay, there's a big mine on this All right, it's colorful All right, I gotta figure out where to go now Let's see The real life up house. Yeah, it's just right here eight minutes away. Haha. I Came the perfect way We've come out into a big subdivision, all right, this is I'm really curious. I'm super interested It's the weekend too. So I don't know it can be busy getting crazy Gonna be nobody there. I don't know okay, right turn here and It's gonna be straight ahead on the right. Oh My god, there it is So cool, oh Wow If you limit your stay to three minutes Hello All right, I get a good shot of this On that sign it says you can reserve a photo shoot or something like this. Oh Oh there you go some other people they had their kids come in front and Lady came out and kicked him out Yeah, I don't know they may not realize how much attention their house would get All right. I should probably get going cuz for them. So I'm just gonna go to In-N-Out Burger Bye-bye up house This one's quite beautiful, too but Yeah, it must just be insane cuz you know, like they have it listed on Google Maps So part of them must want people to come but Don't know they literally built a house from probably one of the most famous Pixar movies and Yeah, look at that thing. It's It's really beautiful, it's really beautiful And it really looks like like the movie. So but yeah, I just When you do something like this like and you make something that people are interested in people come They want to see they want to get more they want to you know But yeah, though so those people they live in that house And they cannot escape the crowd and then the neighbors I don't know maybe it's not too bad, but I Was one of two groups there when I was there, so I don't know what it's like, but oh I'd be really curious to See like read an interview or something with the homeowners or even the neighbors Just to see what it's like Because that lady came out as soon as that girl walked into the property So she was watching, you know, she's like, oh there's people inside and I could imagine if it may feel like You're a prisoner in your own home, right? Like You're always looking outside Maybe you always feel like you have to protect it these kind of things anyways in an out burger and an out burger You know every single one I've been to always has a massive line for the drive-thru They're really popular Look at that that lines going right into the street. Oh Yeah Get up front parking right here Good, how are you? No problem, I'll get a double double with fries and a coke Sure Well, thank you It's me, thank you So the thing with In-N-Out is that it's just really solid. You've probably had a better burger. You've probably had better fries But In-N-Out's just like really consistent and it's fresh and it's yeah, it's just really solid burger I'd say It is really good actually If you're from the southwestern states, you've probably had In-N-Out before but if you're from anywhere else, you've probably heard of it, but you haven't had it and For me if I'm gonna be in the area where there isn't In-N-Out, I gotta have it so All right, that was tasty Let's head to Nine Mile Canyon and have a look at those petroglyphs The ancient stone rock paintings All right, on to Manassas Highway So I was having lunch I looked up a little bit more backstory about where the Uphouse It's a form of income for them. So Basically, they're selling photo shoots there So basically you can do wedding photos there or you know private photos or whatever So the other thing I found out is that the owners didn't actually build it So it was another guy, I guess his developer He built it and then apparently they had a lot of people that are interested in buying as well So the people that did end up buying it are apparently big Disney fans So it became a bit of a fantasy for them Oh, look at that highway, oh boy This is kind of scary actually One, two, three, four, five, I mean six-lane highway Definitely the biggest highway I've ever been on, in this bike at least I guess that was cheaper than a tunnel Starting to change, starting to get those red rocks Southern Utah, it's kind of nice, isn't it? All right, here's our turn off, things should start to get a little more interesting now Oh yes, nobody goes this way, perfect Missing the corner, nice, gravel I don't know if you guys could see that, there's a lightning. Oh, and I wonder if it's gonna rain Yeah The road is a bit wet at the moment. It's not really, it's raining a little bit I guess Am I getting into trouble here? It smells like rain too If it really starts I don't know If it really starts to rain, I have to maybe stop and put the tent up Definitely, there's definitely raining over there. I can see it falling from the sky Oh, this is gonna get interesting I think, isn't it? From a six-lane highway into gravel road thunderstorm I wonder what the cow is thinking Oh God, the road is, oh God, the road is scary It's like powder, but it doesn't look like powder because it's been rained on So I'm making a right turn and I'm heading towards that cloud, I'm not sure what's gonna happen here Oh God, you silly Oh, it's paved again, but I'm having, I'm thinking now I'm gonna have to camp Oh, it's raining now I think I'm getting hailed on too actually It hurts But I'm thinking I should stop somewhere and camp but Kind of debating whether to keep going through the storm. Oh, it looks way lighter over there. Maybe I should keep going Okay, so the sign there, it says there's a campground of 5.9 miles, so maybe I'm gonna head there Nine Mile Canyon Ranch, where is it? It's not that, is it? Is it this? Let me check my phone Okay, I guess we're on the ranch now and it's just up the road to camping Look at that It's getting dark though Nine mile, nine mile ranch, campground, lodging, perfect Hello Hi, do you have reservation? No Do you need one? And I don't know, do I? Oh, I don't know, do you want to camp? Yeah, I do Oh, okay, I just didn't know if you had reservation I was gonna tell you to go ahead and go down there But no, go ahead and pull up there And I'll go lock these up and then I'll meet you up there at the house Okay, sounds good We'll get you a camp spot Cool, thank you It was definitely interesting setting up the tent in that Kind of on off again, rain And wind Yeah, just a little chaotic And we're a little late to Check out the petroglyphs, so we'll do that in the next video So thanks for watching And hopefully I'll see you in the next video
