The Kingfisher Family

The mother kingfisher has two chicks. The nest is hidden in a cave. The first chick to hatch is much larger than the other. When the mother bird forages through the cave, the larger chick always gets to eat first, simply because it is stronger and always comes to the door first to beg for food from its mother. Today it was given a lizard that was too big for its mouth. It took it a long time to swallow it.
