With a 5.6L V8 engine producing 400 horsepower and a beefed-up suspension for trail performance, the Armada Pro-4X is more than just a family SUV — it’s a true off-road contender.

And we are launching her.
Send it.
For 2025, Nissan has completely revamped the Nissan Armada.
My name is Christopher.
My name is Kira.
And this is Cars Unlocked.
We are here with the Nissan Armada Pro 4X Off-Road Edition.
This one has an MSRP in Canada of $93,660.
For all of our American viewers, that's about $73,743 USD for this Pro 4X trim.
Let's find out what you get for that hefty price tag.
Starting off strong with the front end, you have your Lava Red decal
and your front-facing camera over here.
The cool thing is for 2025,
Nissan actually really turned the Pro 4X into a truly off-road capable car.
The previous models did have the Pro 4X badging,
but they weren't really off-road capable.
But now it's going to be off-road capable.
Still sticking on the front end.
We do have these lovely LED headlights that kind of go through the front
and then this is another feature that you get on the Pro 4X model
are these added little vents here.
And of course, coming down below, you have your sensors.
You have four up in the front.
Down here, you have your skid plate for any off-roading protection you need.
And of course, your Lava Red tow hooks.
Super easy to find in an emergency.
Now I know they changed the whole engine as well when they were revamping this thing.
This one is a twin turbo V6.
So a little smaller engine,
but it still gives you 425 horsepower and 516 pounds-feet of torque.
So 9-speed automatic transmission, 8,500 pounds of towing.
I guess the only downside here, 14 litres per every 100 kilometres.
It is combined about 16 mpg.
So I don't think it's top of its class for fuel economy.
All in all, I do think that this car is worth the $60,000.
I mean, if you got a family of six, seven, eight, why not, right?
So just a pretty large friend group.
Or hey, even if you pack pretty heavy,
I know when it comes to me, I will take like three bags for a weekend trip.
There you go.
Coming into the side, you have your side facing camera
and a nice deep step plate for anybody like me who is slightly vertically challenged.
You have rear tinted windows.
That's going to keep the UV rays away from your family.
You got roof rails up top.
With this Pro-4X package, you do get these 20-inch all-terrain tires.
So these are Geolandar tires.
And then you have your aluminum alloy rims with that Lava Red Nissan emblem.
So that Lava Red really only comes in this Pro-4X package,
which Nissan's been doing for a few years.
So another cool thing here, like when you unlock it here,
power folding mirrors.
So they're going to fold.
And then when you lock it up again, they fold back.
So it kind of just prevents things from cars from hitting it in the parking lot
and protecting your mirrors a little bit.
All right, everybody, before we open up this bad boy, make sure you subscribe,
hit the like button, comment down below.
Give Chris's page some love.
All right, well, this channel is called Cars Unlocked.
So let's unlock this car and start it up.
All righty, on your key fob here, it'll be two clicks on your lock button
and then a press and hold on your auto start.
So click, click, pull.
You got it.
I'm throwing her in sport mode and we are launching her a little slow out of the gate.
70, 100.
For a vehicle this built up just stock alone, that is still a pretty impressive launch.
I just did that launch in sport mode.
There's an eco mode, tow mode, rock mode, sand mode, mud and rut mode.
And there's a snow mode.
So it's kind of this little rotary dial here to really kind of help you with all different terrains.
Then you have that Lava Red continuing nice Armada stamping right on the back.
Look at this taillight.
The taillight is LED.
It goes all the way through the trunk here.
And you can kind of see it lighting up all the way across.
And then we have our blacked out Pro 4X badging right on the trunk there.
And of course, down here, your sensors are continued
to get a nice bird's eye view of the car.
And you have a tow hitch right in the back here to help any of your buddies out.
8,500 pounds of towing.
So you can pretty haul whatever you need.
Perfect if you're going to the lake, towing a trailer, lots of hauling capacity.
Now I got to mention this.
You can see I got the wiper going here, but it tucks all the way back there.
So it's kind of hidden, keeping the body lines nice and sharp.
I don't know what you think about that with the hidden wiper there.
Honestly, I think it's really cool.
Pretty cool.
All right.
Now let's check out the business end of things.
Chris?
Yeah.
When you check out the inside, now this is a 12-way power adjustable driver's seat.
You got your Pro 4X badging and stitching all across.
So that lava red continues on the interior.
I do like the step rail because it's easier to get in.
And then we got our push button start here to start it up.
Right away, your eyes just gravitate right to these dual 14-inch touchscreens.
So nice, large touchscreens.
They are kind of built in and integrated here.
They have a heated leather wrapped steering wheel.
Our shifter and everything is right here.
So it's an electric button shifter.
So you can see my park, my reverse, my neutral, and my drive is here.
I'm going to get nice and low here to get underneath this
because they made some changes to the front and the undercarriage.
What do you think?
As you guys can see, the front end does have a 30% higher approach angle,
making anything you do during your off-roading a breeze.
One of the bigger changes from the previous year's model,
your suspension is actually on air.
So you can lower it when you're on city streets if you prefer a lower ride,
or you can raise it up whenever you're going on the trails.
I love how they made this truly like an off-road capable vehicle,
which is something that it lacked in the 2024 model.
To see something like this on the trail would be wicked.
I can't wait to try it.
So now I know this is the Pro 4X package.
This is a demonstrator model,
so we're not going to really take it on some true off-roads.
I'd have to buy it to take it on some true off-roads,
but we're going to test this out a little bit here.
I'm in the off-road mode here, Kira, and we'll test it out.
All righty, let's go.
Whether four low or four high,
we can really do most terrains with this vehicle just as it is,
not even needing to air down.
You're locking rear diff and your suspension being on bags.
Off-roading is going to be a breeze.
It's like a little cheat code.
You can see here your bird's eye view of the vehicle.
No more asking your passengers,
hey, what's on my passenger side?
Hey, can you check out this rock for me?
You can do it all yourself.
It also has the trailer backup assist,
so if you're perfect in this situation,
if you're backing up right close to a lake launching a boat,
you're pretty easy to park it and back it up.
It's still a very smooth ride too.
Suspension really puts in its work.
Nothing feels too rocky, too jagged.
It's all nice and comfortable.
You can see us going through some weeds right now.
You can actually hear them thwacking a little against your seat plate.
Oh, not bad.
Turns pretty tight,
so if you need to switch your line at all when you're on the trail, you can,
which is typically a little bit difficult when it comes to four-door vehicles.
Two-door vehicles, being that they're shorter,
they would be a lot easier to turn quickly, switch your line,
but it is actually very seamless in a four-door.
Where can the people find you if they want to check out your socials?
You can find me on Instagram at kira.whitehouse.
You can also catch my podcast on Spotify.
The Instagram for that is Sip and Spill Podcast.
Now that we're parked, Kira, there's a few things I want to show you.
Right on the touchscreen, there is also a full dash cam,
so you can see our front here.
It's showing our front and our rear.
You can also switch to the inside camera,
take photos, pose, boom.
Oh, I was a little late.
Nice.
What do you think of this here?
This is a digital rearview mirror.
That is awesome.
It does have the traditional mirror,
but basically it translates the backup camera right onto the rearview mirror,
so you can kind of see it.
Trailer brake controller is actually right built in now,
so that's pretty cool if you do any towing.
You don't have to worry about adding that
additionally and having kind of the box down below.
All right, everybody, let's check out the back end of the 2025 Nissan Armada Pro 4X.
So this one is the eight-seater configuration.
In the higher package, we showed you the Platinum on our channel
that comes with the captain chairs.
We'll link it in the description below,
but this one's the eight-seater with the bench,
and you can see it has the red stitching,
and there is a little lever right up here to access the third row.
And bring yourself on up.
Now, this has a decent amount of legroom,
but for reference, I am 5'3", 5'7", with my heels on.
So sitting back here, the seat is not all pressed up to my knees.
My knees are not folded up into my chest.
You have your fold up and fold back, as well as a USB-C charging port.
Now, for your very back bench passengers,
if they would like to recline for comfort,
or if they want to squish in for comfort,
they are more than able with the switches that are next to the cupholders.
If you ever need to free yourself from the confines of back here,
you just push this lever all the way up,
and the seat folds,
and you can scoot yourself on out of here.
Grab onto the uh-oh handle for this one.
Also, for the middle bench, I do have my controls here for the heating.
So it is digital temperature control.
The seat that I'm in are heated as well, so I can turn on and off my heated seats.
There's two USBs down below, and there is that 12-volt charger as well.
I do have an elbow rest and cupholder here as well to put my drinks, water bottles,
and there is also a hefty cupholder in each door.
I'm going to scare you a bit, Kira, but we're going to lock in the Nissan ProPILOT Assist,
and basically now it keeps us centered in the in the lane here,
and it's going to take this turn, and it just kind of uses the sensors.
So that was kind of a small turn, but it will take bigger turns too for you,
but it just keeps you locked in the lane.
I won't lie, auto drive, any kind of setting like that, it does worry me a little bit,
but this one, actually, that's impressive.
For a young lady, we have noticed you are pretty old school, and we appreciate that,
but honestly, I talk about this a lot on the channel.
It's really a big help on the highway,
and this is one thing that the older Armadas lacked was all the technology,
like the safety features.
You got blind spot monitor, lane departure warning,
haptic feedback on the wheel, so now it's vibrating, you hear it beeping.
So no falling asleep on the road, no getting distracted.
If the kids are acting up in the back, you are free to turn around,
set things right without having to worry about staying in the lane.
Nissan actually really advertised, it's called a driver attention alert.
So basically, if you're using this cruise control,
and it notices that you haven't made many subtle changes to the wheel,
or your hand hasn't moved, it will actually beep at you.
I think it's about a 15 minute period.
Let's pop the trunk and do a little dead body test here.
So this is with the back seats upright, and you do have a little bit of storage.
What are you thinking?
Maybe like two, if you put them in the fetal position.
Depends how big they are, I guess.
There is a little hidden storage underneath here, but look at this.
If you got more than one dead body, this is my favorite thing about the vehicle.
You do have the two buttons back here, which is really handy.
A lot of times, you got to walk around to the back and access everything.
But there you go.
They're going to flop down nice and easy.
And look at all the cargo space you have.
Now they flop down with the push of a button.
Do they flop back up?
The back ones will come up, but the middle ones,
you still need to kind of go around and fold them up.
Thank you for coming along on the ride with us.
Shout out to Kira.
