❄Parchment Party - 2025 - Belmont Gold Cup

is going to be the last for the Belmont Gold Cup. A lap and a half of the main track now off the turf and they're off. And Parchment Party towards the outside was probably one of the slowest ones away and Grand Sonata jumped away quickly and is going to lead early. Grand Sonata from Yo Daddy the outside and Tawny Port isn't too far away. Perdiddle forth the fence then came Kerbstone who's on the improve. Back in the field then off the back section early as timeout. And then came towards the home corner settling down Flatten the Curve who is going to bide its time in the early stages and Parchment Party is at the tail of the field as well. Not a lot of pressure up front as now moving up Yo Daddy is going to take them into the stretch on the first occasion. So the leader is Yo Daddy just off the rails from Grand Sonata and then came Kerbstone the outside. Tawny Port is scraping the paint on the inside running rail. They were followed by timeout. A gap in the field to Flatten the Curve who moves up on the outside of Perdiddle and Parchment Party's out deeper on the course and is also looking to improve. There is a lap of the famous Saratoga Trap to go and it's a milder run. The front runner leading out by about a neck is Yo Daddy. Now starting to put some pressure on as Kerbstone on the outside and they're two and a half lengths in front of Tawny Port and Grand Sonata and timeout out three deep on the track as they head towards the back straight. About two further back Flatten the Curve and then came Parchment Party and four lengths away Perdiddle at the tail. So they head towards the back section now. Three quarters of a mile to go into the back straight and it's Yo Daddy the leader in the Belmont Gold Cup, a qualifying race for the Lexus Melbourne Cup and they swing to the back stretch and it's Yo Daddy in front by about two lengths. In second is Kerbstone, Grand Sonata next the inside. Then came timeout in the yellow jacket. It's off the rails in fourth. Flatten the Curve is starting to sneak into the contest and then came Parchment Party, Tawny Port and a gap to Perdiddle. So they head towards the half mile pole and the leader is Yo Daddy. It's leading out by three lengths to in second Kerbstone. Parchment Party is making up some ground and Flatten the Curve on the rails is also running on. Off the back it's Yo Daddy leading by four or five lengths. Second Parchment Party, third is Flatten the Curve, a long gap to Kerbstone followed by timeout a long way back is Grand Sonata. As they slop and slide around Saratoga, they come up towards the quarter pole and the gruelling final stages in the Belmont Gold Cup and the leader is Yo Daddy. But Parchment Party is now joining in on the outside as they come around the corner now. Just over a furlong and a half to go. Parchment Party moves up on the outside and claims Yo Daddy. A long gap, 15 lengths to Flatten the Curve. Parchment Party coming down towards the 16th pole. It's lung busting stuff, but it's going to come away. Parchment Party is going to qualify for the Land of Oz. Parchment Party has won it by six lengths. Second in the race, Yo Daddy. A long gap, Perdiddle in third, then Flatten the Curve, Kerbstone, timeout Tawny Port Grand Sonata.
