Test Details(16.5 yards based): 7.62×25/1,430fp/s(± 30 ft/s Thank you guys for watching the video today, I had a lot of fun shooting the Level 3A plate by tactical xmen.
So if you're like me and you really can't afford
extremely expensive body armor,
and I'm talking like three, four, $500 for a daggone plate,
this is what you need.
What is up, guys?
Welcome back to Whisper Tactical.
My name's John, and today I am bringing you all a video
on the Level 3A plates from Tactical X-Men.
Before we get into this video,
I'd appreciate it if you go ahead
and subscribe to the channel and then hit that bell icon
so you'll be notified whenever I upload new content.
Guys, this is $199 for the pair,
and it's absolutely insane
because you look at it and I thought,
oh man, this stuff's gonna be heavy.
I'd never really felt plates like this.
On my scales, 1.01, 1.02 actually on this one.
So together it was 2.03 pounds.
They are only a quarter inch thick.
I don't know if you can see that there.
But they are literally only a quarter inch thick,
and you can see how it's curved.
It literally fits your chest.
So if you're somebody who has more of a broad chest,
these actually, they actually fit really nice.
I'm six foot two and I'm 210 pounds.
So if that gives you a size, I don't know,
like a recommendation or whatever you wanna call it.
Anyway, guys, you can check this out.
I'll link it in the description below,
and you can go over to their website and check this out.
But it is Level 3A, and it says right on their website
that it is rated to stop .357 SIG and .44 Magnum.
I've got a .357 SIG round right here,
and we're gonna start this test off with a .357 SIG
because I wanna hit it with what it's rated to stop
to see if it actually stops first so we don't damage it,
and then a round go through that shouldn't have gone through.
So the first round I'm gonna hit it with
is the .357 SIG PPU full metal jacket.
This guy is right at 1,600 feet per second.
All right, guys, this is my Glock 22.
It's actually a .40 Smith & Wesson,
but I have a Jarvis .357 SIG conversion barrel in it,
and it actually, I think it's like a six-inch barrel,
so it sticks out a little bit.
I put this in my recover tactical brace.
It's kinda like a little PDW,
and .357 SIG is a really hot round,
so it really generates the velocity
out of that six-inch barrel.
I'm gonna go ahead, and I'm gonna put one just center mass.
So it ate that round, center mass right there.
A lot of back force deformation.
Guys, I should've told you all
that this was made out of UMHWPE,
and that is ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.
It's fantastic stuff.
Like, I've shot Kevlar plates,
and .357 SIG just zipped right through it.
So the fact that this stopped it, I'm pretty impressed.
All right, guys, that was a full metal jacket
that first round, and odds are,
if you encounter somebody with a gun out in the wild,
and they're trying to cause bodily harm
or damage to somebody,
they're probably gonna be using hollow points.
So I'm gonna go ahead and hit this plate a second time
with .357 SIG with that SIG V-crown hollow point.
That's a hot round, I'm telling you.
Here's the second hit right here.
It split the top of the plate,
but the round did not go through.
I can actually sit right here and look at the bullet.
So I don't know if you guys can see in there.
Yeah, there it is.
All right, I got my daughter's little cricket here,
and I've got some CCI standards.
Actually, this thing's not even loud.
The second round, I'm gonna put in that top corner
that's damaged, and the third round,
I'm gonna put through the first hole
that I shot with the full metal jacket, if I can see it.
And of course, nothing.
Double op buck, nine pellet, 1,325 feet per second.
Let me straighten it out so I can show you all.
So we had five hits on it at first,
so I'm gonna count the hits.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
eight, nine, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14.
All nine pellets hit this plate, and it is getting flimsy.
But I'm gonna keep going because I wanna see this fail.
Up next is nine mil.
You all haven't seen this gun yet.
This is a CZ 75 SP01 Tactical.
This is CZ's custom workshop.
Underwood is up first.
I'm just gonna try to hit top center.
There is no exit.
It actually caught it.
It caught it after all that damage.
Right there's the bullet.
No way.
That's 16 hits on this one plate alone
with a 90 grain extreme defender,
full metal jacket, and then the hollow point.
Yeah, caught that too.
I don't know why I've got ears on.
Every side is split out.
Well, actually this side's not.
It's dropping bullets out.
Right here's one of the 22 LR rounds that fell out.
But I still have not had a pass through.
We are 17 rounds in.
All right guys, up next is 45 ACP.
This is coming out of the HK Mark 23
with the Knights Armament Company SOCOM 23 can.
185 grain, 45 super.
No way.
Bro, no pass through.
Here's the Hydroshock, 230 grain.
This is getting pretty insane.
Didn't pass through.
Here's the 230 grain FMJ.
Every time I hit it now, a bunch of stuff falls out.
But still no pass through.
We're 20 rounds in, still no pass through.
All right guys, so I think we're gonna reach
a point of failure here
because we're 20 rounds in.
Still no pass throughs.
But I'm getting ready to hit it
with a 205 grain Federal Centech 40 Smith & Wesson,
the red bullet.
And then, followed by the 40 Smith & Wesson,
is going to be an Underwood 100 grain,
10 millimeter Extreme Defender.
1,825 feet per second.
I know it's gonna fail on the 10 mil.
40 Smith & Wesson loaded up first, 10 mil second.
Stuck it, it stuck it in the bucket.
There's the red bullet.
But up next is that Extreme Defender, 10 mil.
There's not really an undamaged part of the plate
for me to try to hit.
There's a lot of damage,
so I'm just gonna put it center mass.
Is that a pass through or did it break?
Let's see if we can find the bullet.
Right there's the 10 mil Extreme Defender.
If I can get it out to prove it to you, no way.
Absolutely no way you can kind of see the screwdriver tip.
It has taken 22 rounds.
The last round, the 22nd round,
it was not rated to stop that.
That is pretty daggone impressive.
The plate is completely apart.
Every time I hit it, stuff falls out of it.
It is pressed up against a bucket
with 40 pounds of dirt in it.
So I've got a P90 here and I am loaded up,
or a PS90, and I am loaded up
with the Federal American Eagle full metal jackets.
Let's go ahead and put one in the top right corner.
Yeah, pretty sure that did it.
Pretty sure that did it.
Woo!
And we've got one, two, three, four, five.
I think I hit it five times.
But yeah, so all five of the P, the PS90 rounds,
of course, they zipped through.
And for those of y'all who don't know
what that round is, I think it's a 40 grain,
five seven by 28 is the American Eagles,
if I'm not mistaken.
There's a lot of different grains.
There's like 24, 27, 30 some, 40 grain.
But 22 rounds of common calibers and it did not fail.
It did not fail.
I am shocked, I am really shocked.
And then I come in with the P90
and of course that zipped right through it.
But I'm still not done.
I've got a fresh plate and I wanna try one more thing.
I may try one more thing with this plate, actually.
Let's see.
That's the plate that we've shot 27 times now.
One of y'all's favorite Guntubers bought me this.
I can't tell you who it was
because I gave him my word that I wouldn't tell who it was.
But one of the big guys bought this as a gift for me.
You can probably imagine who,
but I cannot tell you, gave him my word.
This is a three and a half inch, 10 gauge slug.
Three and a half inch Magnum.
Yeah, let me put my ears on
and I'm gonna put it right in the center of that plate.
Yeah, yeah, it caught it.
I just have to say, I want you to see this damage.
And there's the back of it where it shoved it into the mud
just to show you that I actually have something
holding it up.
Let's go ahead and remove it.
It caught it.
There's the slug.
And there's the face where I hit it
right in the middle of all the other hits.
And let's go ahead and remove that face.
You know what?
Let's just go ahead and hit it again with the 10 gauge,
just to see.
Good as new.
Well, what do you know?
It stopped it again.
There's the wadding from the first one hanging there.
And there's the wadding from the second one hanging there.
There looks to be a 45 hydroshock.
And that looks to be something.
There's both of them right there.
Holy cow, dude.
I cannot believe that.
One more 10 gauge slug.
So it turned upside down, so all the dirt came out.
So I'm gonna have to go put some more dirt in it.
But I wanna be very clear.
Even though this looks like a used diaper,
the round is right there.
Another 10 gauge slug.
45 super, 185 grain, 1,300 feet per second.
See that purple right there?
The bullet's right there, it stopped it.
I literally just had to blow it apart
so I could actually finish this video.
Nothing besides 5.7 pierced through this plate
and I hit it like 30 times.
Straight up, man.
Okay, here we go.
What's this?
That's a hollow point, but it didn't expand.
There's two more little buckshot balls.
Oh, so familiar.
There's another one and there's another one.
Boom, boom.
Man, this plate stopped everything I threw at it.
30 hits.
Didn't stop the P90.
I mean, that's absolutely incredible, guys.
This video is already gonna be 30 minutes long,
so I'm not even gonna touch this plate.
We will figure something out later on to do with this guy.
Remember, like, subscribe, all that good stuff.
I'm gonna link Tactical X-Men in the description down below.
