Here's my plant-based version of the classic Filipino dish "beef tapa", traditionally made with marinated and cured beef, served with garlic rice! This version replicate the savory, and umami-rich flavor and slightly chewy texture of beef using soy curls. Happy cooking!

Veggie "Beef' Tapa
Ingredients:
For meat substitute:
120g soy curls (rehydrated)

Marinade:
1 head of garlic
2 tbsp coconut sugar
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup of kalamansi juice
1 tsp pepper

2 tbsp of cooking oil (for pan frying)
To Serve:
Garlic rice
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Pickled papaya (atsara)
Spiced vinegar
