Dear friends,

In this video, I share my interpretation of one of the most hauntingly beautiful melodies ever passed down through time: Greensleeves, also known during the holiday season as “What Child Is This.”

Originally a traditional English folk tune dating back to the 16th century, Greensleeves carries with it a sense of longing and timeless grace. Over the centuries, it has been reimagined in many ways, including as the Christmas carol “What Child Is This”—set to lyrics by William Chatterton Dix in the 1800s.

This performance is my own quiet reflection on the melody’s tenderness and its bittersweet, almost ancient soul. Whether heard as a romantic lament or a sacred carol, its beauty rests in its emotional transparency—something I hope to capture here through the classical guitar.
