*NEW* SUMMER DECORATE WITH ME | Small patio ideas & makeover
Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel, or if you are new here for the first time
then hello, welcome.
In today's video I have a summer patio makeover and decorate with me.
To start out we are going to be building our new patio set from Walmart.
I have been eyeing this set for so long and it keeps going in and out of stock.
I was able to snag it when it did go back in stock.
This is the Better Homes and Gardens Ventura Outdoor Wicker Sofa.
We also have the accent chairs as well.
This was pretty simple to assemble.
Me and my husband did it one Sunday afternoon.
It took us about an hour or two, but we had fun.
It was a nice day outside.
It was still a little chilly, so that's why we have jackets on, but nonetheless it was
definitely a fun Sunday just hanging out on the porch and building our new patio set.
As of filming this video, the wicker chair set is in stock for shipping online right
now, so I will have everything linked in the description box down below for you.
This does come in a set with the sofa, chairs, and fire pit, which also keeps going in and
out of stock, so make sure to check down there.
If you guys are interested, we really have been happy with this set.
It's such great quality and I love the look of it.
It looks very high end, but in my opinion, it is a great price for what you get.
Now, the couch and the accent chairs, along with the fire pit we got, all come with covers
that you can put on these, which is amazing.
They fit perfectly and we have used them multiple times already, so here I am putting the rock
into the fire pit.
This fire pit puts off some good heat, so here in Colorado when it is chilly in the
summertime, this fire pit feels so nice.
I did also want to get a new rug, so I got one from Walmart.
I had also been eyeing this one and I wish I would have gone with a bigger size, but
I don't want to go too big because I don't want it to be a tripping hazard for the rest
of our patio, but I do love the way that the checkered print looks with the set that
we got.
I am looking at the Walmart app and it looks like this rug is no longer available, but
they also have one very similar on Amazon that I will link for you.
We were exhausted after putting together all that furniture, so thank you to today's sponsor
Suvi for providing us a yummy meal.
If you have never heard of Suvi, Suvi combines a revolutionary smart countertop oven with
a flexible gourmet meal delivery service.
So here I am just unboxing the machine.
It comes with a bunch of different trays for the different meals that they offer.
You can also use your own foods when cooking with the Suvi, which I think is amazing.
You want to make sure to pour in some water and you don't want to overfill this.
So here I am showing you on the side of the machine, it does have a minimum line and a
max line.
The setup is so simple, just download the app and you can connect it easily on there.
Once you've done that, you're ready to start cooking.
All of their pre-made meals are sent to you in these packages and you simply take the
card out and scan it on the machine.
It automatically pops up the meal that you are cooking and then you start assembling
with the items that you got in the bag.
Tonight we are prepping the pesto chicken, which was absolutely delicious.
Suvi is the ultimate convenient dinner solution.
You can get gourmet meals with no prep, no shopping, no cooking, and no cleanup, which
has been an absolute game changer for us.
We do work full-time jobs and we do have a little foster baby, so our life is definitely
crazy and this has made our lives so much easier.
Just when you thought the Suvi couldn't get better, you can also schedule ahead your meals
with built-in refrigeration.
Ingredients stay cooled, then automatically start cooking to have your meals ready when
you are.
The Suvi meal delivery service is flexible, allowing you to choose your meals for every
order, pick how often you get them and how many you get, and add your dietary preferences
like keto, vegetarian, fit, and balanced, family-friendly, or even ingredient exclusions
for allergies.
The newest model Suvi 3.0 Plus has 15-plus cook modes including air fry, bake, roast,
slow cook, and more, which allows you to cook any recipe.
If you guys would like to get wholesome, home-cooked meals at an everyday price point in as little
as 20 minutes, make sure to check the link in the description below.
We genuinely love and use the Suvi almost every single night, so make sure to check
the link below.
Thank you so much to them for sponsoring today's video, and now let's go ahead and get back
to decorating.
We were also in desperate need of some new outdoor pillows, so I went to At Home a few
weeks ago and picked up these beautiful sage green pillows that I thought would go perfect.
They're very comfortable and they were pretty affordable, so I went ahead and picked those
up.
I also got some lumbar pillows from At Home for the accent chairs that are just in a tan
neutral color, which I also really love.
They are, again, really comfortable and a great price point.
Now it did say that these were fade-resistant, which I will have to report back at the end
of summer to see if they truly held up.
Our other accent pillows that we had out here were not fade-proof.
They were really cheap and I didn't spend much money on them last year, so I decided
to spend a little bit more on some better quality ones, so I will definitely keep you
updated.
I'm also placing some of these lanterns that I bought from Walmart.
I had been eyeing these for a while.
They are a pottery barn lookalike for a lot more of an affordable price, and I did get
all three sizes of them.
I also got some of the battery-powered candles, which I feel like I'm going to have to take
those out because they are kind of melting with the warmer weather.
If you missed my summer decor haul that I posted a few weeks ago, then you probably
missed these planters.
They are one of my favorites.
At Home has so many great summer items, just home items in general.
It had been so long since I had been there, so I had so much fun browsing the aisles.
I also got some faux plants to go inside of those pots.
They were on the expensive side, but I'm hoping that I can keep these for years to come and
not have to buy any more, so just like the pillows, I will keep you guys updated on how
they hold up.
I placed them right in front of our egg chair that we have had for years from Walmart that
I have next to our patio set.
And next, we are going to be planting some flowers.
On Mother's Day, my mom and I went to look at some flowers, and I did pick up a couple.
We will see how long these stay alive.
I am trying to keep them alive and well, but we shall see.
I usually kill them within the first few weeks, so keep you guys updated on that as well.
But I did get these from Home Depot, and I'm just putting a few of them in some of the
planters that I had from the previous years.
If you have been around for a while, you know that I love hydrangea plants, and I got one
last year, and I was doing good taking care of it until it got spider mites on it, and
that was when I said enough is enough, and that ended the life of my hydrangea plant.
So if you think I should give it another try, Home Depot has the most stunning hydrangea
plants, so I am tempted to go back and get some.
You will have to let me know if I should try it again in the comments below.
After I get all of the flowers planted, I'm just going to give them a good water so that
we can get off to a good start.
It's been a week since filming this, and they are still alive, so happy to report back on
that little positive note.
After I'm done watering the flowers, that is going to complete this portion of our back
patio.
I am going to move over to our covered patio right off of our sliding glass door and share
with you what I did over there.
Moving over to our covered patio right off of our back door, I'm going to sweep up all
of the leaves and dirt and grime that has accumulated over the winter season.
Now typically I get our power washer out and power wash the side of the house, but I am
still not convinced we are done with snow, so I did want to wait a little bit longer
to do that.
So I am just taking my broom to do a quick clean, and then I'm also taking our leaf blower
to get any additional dirt, leaves, all of those things off of the covered patio.
Now I am taking the same rug that I had here last year.
I believe I got this rug from Target.
I will try to link it down below if I can find it, but I have been really happy with
this rug.
I love the neutral color of it, and it has held up really well through the winter season
here in Colorado, so I have no complaints about it.
Now the rug is 5x7, so you can get an idea of how large the space is.
It is a pretty small space, but I have been really happy in the previous years how I arranged
the furniture to get the most out of this space.
It is one of my favorite spots to sit and read a book or hang out with our little foster
baby.
The little egg chair and couch is from Amazon.
It is a very affordable price, so I will have them linked below for you.
I did also get some new pillows from Target.
I got this pretty lumbar pillow.
These were 40% off when I bought them, so definitely keep an eye out for sales on outdoor
furniture and decor at all of your local stores.
There's definitely a lot of great sales going on right now.
I originally put both of the pillows on the egg chair, but you will see later I ended
up moving the lumbar pillow to the love seat across the way.
I get so many questions on this black accent table, and I got it from a garage sale.
It was originally like an orange-y pink color, and I just spray painted it black a couple
years ago, and it has held up so well.
Originally I used some of my faux plants for this side table, but I did end up putting
some of the flowers that I planted, which you saw a few minutes ago.
I recently just got this side table from Target.
It was also 40% off when I bought it.
It is one of my favorites from their outdoor collection.
I did also get some faux plants from Target as well.
I tried a few different combinations, but I do like keeping some faux plants out here
just because there's no way for me to kill them, and they hold up really well with the weather.
I am also taking these black lanterns that I got from Wayfair last year.
These have not held up so well.
The handle on one of them is broken, but they still work for decor purposes, so I did want
to put them out.
I'm not sure if they are available anymore.
I'm not sure that I would recommend them either, but they definitely add a little touch over
there.
Kind of ties in the black from the accent table on the other side.
I did also want to share with you some clips of my little Zoe.
She is so funny.
Every time I'm filming, she just wants to be the center of attention, so I thought you
guys would enjoy seeing these clips.
You will have to let me know if any of your dogs do this.
When you've made your bed or on a couch or something, she always wants to rub herself
all over it, which cracks me up.
That is going to be it for this summer patio makeover and decorate with me.
I hope that you enjoyed it.
I had so much fun creating this outdoor space.
I cannot wait to spend more time out here, have some barbecues, read some books, spend
time with the family and friends.
I will have everything that I can linked in the description box down below, so make sure
to check down there.
