Hi everyone! In today's video, I'll show you how to make dairy-free caramel that is sweet,
thick and creamy. The first ingredient is medjool dates. There are hundreds of types of dates
available, but medjool dates are the best when making caramel because they are soft and juicy
and their flavor is very sweet, almost caramel-like. Add the dates to a high-speed blender together
with full-fat coconut milk, which will add richness and creaminess and help the dates blend easier.
The next ingredient is coconut nectar. Many raw caramel recipes call for a liquid sweetener
to increase the viscosity of the caramel. Coconut nectar is one of the stickiest
liquid sweeteners and works incredibly well here. Finally, vanilla extract to deepen the flavor
and sea salt to balance the sweetness. Blend on high until completely smooth.
Transfer the caramel to an airtight container and that's it! Date caramel that is perfect for
drizzling, spreading or dipping. As you saw in the video, this caramel is really easy to make
and the great thing about it is that Tana wasn't even able to detect the dates in it. So what does it taste like?
Exactly like it should, like caramel. I would not be able to tell the difference between this and
like a dairy-based, butter-based caramel. There's a huge warm, sweet, buttery flavor
like everywhere on the palate. Really good. It lingers for a long time, so the sweetness and
that warmth lingers together for a really long time, which I really like. And there's like a
I've noticed that when it stays on your tongue, it's just like this really little fascinating
tingling sensation, which is cool. It makes it really interesting to eat. It does everything
that caramel needs to do though. There is a slight difference in sweetness. The
type of sweetness is different compared to like white sugar or brown sugar or fine sugar.
And I think that would be like the nectar. It's just something I've never really tasted
before, so I can tell there's something slightly different about the sweetness, but
very slightly, like I said. So it's delicious. Approved. Yeah. Alright, so I hope you enjoyed
this video. If you did, please give me a thumbs up, comment below, subscribe to my channel,
