Chinese Traditional Story: Evil Must Be Punished

This story took place during the Qing Dynasty. A tragic thing happened to a family who lived in a small village near Urumqi in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region. At that time, bandits were everywhere. They roamed the county at will, killing and robbing people and even eating them. Jimusa County had its own troops, which patrolled the countryside. One day, the soldiers went to the mountains to hunt. They saw a house with its gate and windows tightly shut; there were more than 10 horses with saddles in the yard. They thought that a group of bandits must be inside the house, so, they quietly surrounded it.
