Jaylen Brown R2G5 Highlights vs New York Knicks (26 pts, 8 reb, 12 ast) | 2024-25 NBA Season

Pace is going to be huge for both of these teams. We saw the Knicks increase that pace in game four. In the corner, one and three. Cross court, Brown, Brunson in the way. Nice spin, nice feet, and he hits the two. Well, Brown, he recognized that he had Brunson on him. He's given up about five inches. Digit scoring games in the nine playoff games he has played. First round against Orlando. In this round against New York, Brunson against Brown. Brunson twirling inside. It's picked up by Brown. It's Horford. Carl Anthony Towns aggressively across. Hart will try to finish. And the newly instated Luke Cornett is in, got the ball, and swerving the other way is Brown to White. A three by White, who has started red hot, white hot. He's got nine. Nine of the 11 Celtics point coming from the threes in the hand of Derek White. Richard at 12 in game four. Brunson on Brown. Trying to roar down. Brunson down low. Cornett. You just have a feeling this game tonight, an elimination game for the Celtics, it's going to be won or lost in the paint. And you know this, Reg, it's the hardest game to win, huh? Yes, it is. Offensive foul here. That's a foul and it's called on New York. It's White. It's Cornett. White open. Brown, he'll take all day to shoot. Not only did he get his feet set, took a deep breath and a dribble. Quickly doubled. Presengus, one, three, no. Tenth and Brown controls for the Celtics. He's got four. Confidence-wise for Hauser to see that one go through because they're going to need, they are going to need his contribution. Brown the other way, four on two to the hole. Jalen Brown. Oh, over and back. Brown, three, trying to tie and does. Often they switch. Brunson, Brown with fire. Has it rolling here in this second quarter. 13-2 Celtics run. Comes out of the defense. Pritchard fakes the three. Defense finds Brock. Three, good. Pritchard off the bench with six. Two of six from downtown. Brown is five of eight. Two of two from three. White, he'll launch a three. The offense has opened up, partner. Concentration from the line, from the Knicks. Thus far, 13-14. Brown, big night so far and he continues, lacing one from three and give him 15. Brown and Ananoby. The switch. Robinson on Brown. The defense holding him out. Yes, it is. Shot clock is down to three. Screen, switch, shot, good. Let's give credit where credit's due. Derek White set a great screen on Mitchell Robinson to free up Brown. Robinson will make a move. Ball knocked away. Here's the diving save by Brown. It's picked up. White, Horford, the cutting Brown, knifing his way inside. It's foul called. Foul on Brunson from behind, tripping Brown. This is an elimination game, not only for the Celtics, but Jalen Brown. This is how you lay out. You lay your body out to make plays, to get extra possessions. The desperation being shown here by Brown and the Celtics. New York, and again, a lot of those came from Robinson. Robinson has got 13, six of 13 from the floor. The switch and Brown is on him, three, Brunson. Rebound Pritchard. Well, number one, we can talk Brown has shot the ball and played offensively, but his defense just as good. Just in these playoffs, a couple days ago in New York in game four, Brown working through traffic, Pritchard with a three. It's Bridges driving on Pritchard. It's out to Annanoby. Into a thicket of defenders. Got it to go. Offensive foul. Wipe it away. He led with that foot or knee. We've seen that before. Here's the drive by OG. Look at that right knee. Beautiful back cut there by Pritchard. The Knicks have three chances to beat Boston to advance. Tonight is the first opportunity. McBride three, no. Short, Cornett grabs it. I think White got a piece of that. Holiday takes it and swings it over to Brown. Robinson meets him. Driving Brown. Cutting is Holiday. Not settling for threes. Jalen Brown, pump fake, dribble penetration. The Celtics have their biggest lead of game five on TNT. If Minnesota would win, they'd be in the Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive season. Shot clock at four. Brown making a move. McBride is there. What a great, purposeful game by Jalen Brown tonight. Boston, without their star, really showing up. Cornett. Oh my goodness. Blue Cornett. Broad was gushing out. They closed the wound. He has not missed much time in this one at all. Brown puts on the brakes. Pritchard three, hits it. His fifth. 17 points. Their own win in this series. They were 20 or 40 in the garden in game three. You knew the emotion would be high in the absence of Tatum. Brown epitomizing it. Stutter step in the two-point shot. 26. The Knicks will come to a close. Brown, what a pass to White. He's been terrific. Fantastic. A career-long assist too. He's got a double-double. That was his 11th assist. And the Indiana Pacers are lurking and watching and resting. Holiday is open. His triple is away. Congratulations. You've been the MVP before, but you didn't have to carry the whole load tonight. What an incredible team effort. What was it like seeing everyone excelling in their own positions to carry this load without Jason? It was fantastic. It was a lot of fun tonight. We came out and played team basketball. We got contributions from everybody and it was fun. Defensively, how were you able to keep Brunson at bay and specifically put the pressure on him defensively where he got in the foul trouble? Yeah, just trying to stay in between them in the ball. You know what I mean? Just try to stay without fouling and just bring energy and effort. Defense is just hard, so who won it the most? We know Jason was watching. Anything you'd like to say to your teammate? Yeah, that one's for JT. Get well, bro. All right. Thanks so much. Congrats. Good luck in New York.
