Manx Dance at Arbory School

A short film about Manx dance within Arbory School.

The primary school based in Ballabeg has become renowned as a stronghold of traditional dance in the Isle of Man. This short film offers a short exploration and celebration of that, offering insights not just into lessons that might be learnt elsewhere, but also of the difference that Manx dance can make to young people.

This was filmed at the start of March 2025, as the school prepared for the Manx Folk Awards.
The film features an interview with Triana Collister, the teacher at the heart of the school's high outstanding embracing of and performance of Manx dancing today.
