Who Am I? The Knower, the Knowing, or the Known?

Who am I if I am not the knower? A man says he always thought that the term “the knower'' referred to being. Why then, does the Ashtavakra Gita say: “I am not the knower, nor the known, nor the knowing.”?
Rupert says: ‘In this case, Ashtavakra is referring to the duality of the knower and the known and the activity of knowing that joins them. For example: if we say “I perceive the tree”, the “I” is the separate knower or subject, the tree is the separate object, and perceiving or knowing is the activity that joins the two. On another occasion, Ashtavakra could have said, “I am all of that.”
‘But when Ashtavakra says “I am not the knower”, he is not talking about infinite consciousness, he is talking about the finite mind.’
