BICYCLE TIPS and HACKS | Part 9

Hey guys, this is Fatpacker Vamav. Summers are on, but it's sometimes hard to get cold water. You fill up your bottle, but as soon as you hit the road, your water is now hot. For this, just fill the bottle half and keep it inside the freezer. When you wake up next day, you can feel rest with cold water and now you have icy bottle. This bottle is neither full of ice nor hot. You can use it only when you have cold water all the time. And the cold water will last longer. Now the next hack. This often happens with you. That you go out for a ride in the car, but soon you find that the car interior is kind of dirty. You do get annoyed and you can't do anything. Well, here's the solution. Just keep this brush for your bicycle tyre. The harsher, the better. Whenever you go out for a ride and get back in, just brush off your tyres with this. This will remove all the dirt from your tyres. And then your car interior will be clean for a long time. Because whenever you go on the road, all the dirt comes inside your tyre. And that goes inside the car interior. Also, this brush can be used to clean your car. If there is any leaf on your car, you can clean it with this brush. Just make sure that the brown cakes that you have picked up on the road are rinsed before you put it back inside. Next hack is for those lazy people. Those who want to automate their bicycle. Those who are tired of putting air pressure. Now, filling your tyre pressure is a tiring job. Whenever you do it, it makes your back pain. A good way would be to get an air compressor. But then the air compressors that come in the market are around Rs. 10,000. And that would be an overkill for your bicycle. Another alternative would be car air compressors. Even though they are around Rs. 1000, they are not effective at all. They heat up a lot. And people know that they are not efficient as well. For this, you can salvage a refrigerator compressor from your old fridge. Just add some vinyl pipes and you are good to go. This will easily fill up lots of tyres with speed. And for those thin tyres, the roadies, it can easily go up to 400 PSI. When there is a car compressor, it says 300 PSI. But after 100 PSI, its holler tightens. For additional storage, you can use this LPG cylinder. However, it is risky. Because these cylinders are not made for such high pressure. Even though its cost is around Rs. 500 to Rs. 1000. It is quite cheap. But if you want to use it, don't go above 100 PSI. Paint the walls inside. Because there can be rust inside. LPG doesn't need to be painted. But if you store it on fire, it can produce rust due to moisture. This is the compressor from Godrej. There is an external line from where all the pressure comes out. I have added a pipe here. And it goes into a flexible pipe. There is a quick fitting in front of it. You can add it to anything. When there is pressure, it snaps here. And it gets connected. You can supply air to any cycle with this. There is a safety switch here. If there is more than 120 PSI pressure, this safety switch turns off the main voltage. You power it with electricity from here. There is a vacuum line here. This is the inlet. You can see that all the pressure is being built up here. When I press this, all the pressure will be released. If your bicycle has air suspension, you can use this pump here as well. Because this air suspension needs a lot of high pressure. Why did you have to bother so much? You can get free air from the petrol pump. No man! Swag! The next hack is kind of simple. And I have already shown you this in my previous video. It is often tiring to clean your bicycle tyre. And then watching it go brown. No matter how hard you clean, they never look black. For this, all you need is a car wax. Apply a small amount on your bicycle tyre. And then let it dry. They will give you a wet finish for months. If you want to watch a proper video on this, I have uploaded a video as well. Alternatively, you can use oil as well. But I have not tested it. Now for the next spot, this usually happens with you. Whenever you are doing long rides, your palms start hurting a lot. You try a lot of grips. But still your palms hurt. Some grips are quite affordable. But they hurt. And some grips are so expensive that you can't afford them. For this, you can create your own soft grips. Just add some bicycle tubes on your grip. Cut it in a long shape. Then slowly wrap it around your handlebar. And end it with a black tape. In between that, you can also use some glue. So that the tubes don't come out. Because sometimes they get loose. This provides you a makeshift cycling grip. That you can use anywhere. After that, you can also use a foam. Foam gives you extra padding. Just remember one thing. Don't use the electrical tape. Use the fabric tape. If I tear it, you can see how easily the electric tape comes out. And the fabric tape, as soon as you take it out, the foam tears. It means that it has a lot of grip. Obviously, there is another solution. You can also use a bar tape. But many people don't have a bar tape. If you have seen the video on bar tape, you can find it in the description below. For the next hack, this happens with everyone. Whenever you want to store your bicycle or you want to take out your front wheel. You take out your front wheel. You put it back. And now your disc is rubbing. It wasn't doing it before. Now it is doing it. Due to this, you hate keeping your bicycle inside the car. You go out to the bike shop and get it repaired. And again, when you remove it, you still face the same issues. The problem is that whenever you go to the bike mechanic with your bicycle, they always work on the shortcut. They see that your disc is rubbing a little. They will adjust it and tell you to go. Then you have issues. Then they do this. They are making money and you have more problems. The hack for this will be that whenever you remove the wheel and put it back, you adjust your wheel exactly at that time. If I talk about factory setting, sometimes it is tedious.
