Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a little boy named Raju. Raju lived with his grandmother in a tiny house on the edge of the village. They didn’t have much, but they were happy.

Every evening, Raju and his grandmother would sit together and read stories. But one day, their only oil lamp broke, and they had no light to read at night.

Raju was sad. He wanted to help, so he decided to earn some money to buy a new lamp. He started helping the villagers with small chores—carrying water, sweeping floors, and feeding animals.

Everyone in the village saw how hardworking and kind Raju was. They paid him with a few coins and sometimes with food. After a few weeks, Raju had saved enough money to buy a new lamp.

He bought a small, beautiful lamp and gave it to his grandmother. That night, they read stories again, their faces glowing in the warm light.

The villagers were touched by Raju’s kindness and effort. From then on, they helped each other more, and the whole village became brighter—not just with lamps, but with love and kindness.
