Surfing The Largest Waves In The World For The First Time

This is the biggest wave in the world and I'm going to surf it for the first time. First day in Nazaré, my whole life. I'm so excited to be here. There is a big swell coming the next days. Today the swell is not really good, but it's a good day for training, for the bigger one. This is the most serious thing we need to have in the water. Oh my God! You pull your vest and the wave is coming. You don't want to be inflated. You want to de-inflate it a little bit. Take that one on the head, go under the water and then you pull again. But if you feel you're going too deep, pull fast because whenever you go super deep, the pressure is going to compress a little bit, so you're going to feel it's going to hurt you a little bit more under the water. This board is Kevlar carbon. The carbon makes the board stiff right here. So you don't feel the vibration. And I like the Kevlar because you just take the vibration faster and we don't feel nothing. This is my magic one. I'm using the same one. Let's go. Are you nervous, Laura? A little bit. We'll be fine. Catching a wave here in Nazaré is obviously very dangerous. That's why I have this voice right here. Chumbo and Fink with me as my partners. I know I'm in good hands. I'm not really used to getting towed into a wave. So only that, it's going to be a challenge. There's always two jet skis in the water. One to tow me and another one to save me. Breast training is essential to survive when you get caught by a massive wave. So many emotions there. I just want more now. I'm excited for tomorrow. I think we should catch some fun waves in the morning. It might be big, so we'll see. I'm a little bit nervous, for sure. We're really looking forward to tomorrow. I can't wait to catch a ball.
