How's it going everybody? I'm Nikki Delventhal and these are my dogs Camper and Robney Delventhal.
For over three years we lived in a Toyota Prius but now we're in a 4x4 Sprinter and we're here
to take you along on the wild ride. So fasten up your seat belts and let's have some fun.
Don't forget if you like what you see, like, subscribe, comment,
share with your friends and turn on notifications. We would be so thankful.
Good morning Florida rest stop. It's like a little submarine haul. In case you guys missed it,
last month Sarah moved into her RAV4 so besides me ridiculously missing tight spaces like my Prius,
we have family down here. So I decided to fly in and here we are two girls camping in a RAV4
around Florida and it is going to be a wild adventure. We've already had a ton of fun
kayaking through your typical Florida tropical rivers, hitting waterfalls and seeing all the
amazing wildlife. We even went snorkeling and spotted gorgeous sea turtles and marine life.
So you can only imagine what else we're getting into today. I said no smoking but was smoking.
It's kind of funny because literally 10 seconds before 600 kids came rolling in. What did I say?
You said it's really quiet here. That's rest stop life baby.
I'm surprised the condensation dried up. I highly recommend having window covers. I spent
over a year without them and it is a game changer to black out your car and actually get a great
night's sleep. I have a tip. Go. Make sure that you order the window covers more than a day before
you're planning on leaving or else you might have to use garbage bags. All right, let's hit the road
you guys. We just booked last minute tickets for something so cool. It's the only place in the
entire United States you can do it but we have three hours to get there so we have to hurry up.
Let's go. This is what it's like keeping up. What are you trying to say? I may be from New Jersey
but I still know how to pump my own gas. Maybe from New Jersey but can even pump other people's
gas. Coffee time. I'm pretty excited to try this place. Oh, I knew it. I knew I was gonna love this.
All right, back on the road. We hit our first road bump of the day so on the way we called the
campground we're staying tonight to get the gate code because if you show up late you need that
and they also informed us that we don't have any water. No showers, no toilets, no drinking water.
So we're gonna have to act accordingly. We are gonna continue to stay at that campground despite
that because the wild camping in the area isn't that great but uh yeah, it's life on the road.
You just adapt. So we are gonna buy more water and maybe showers and luckily we'll be around a ton
of freshwater springs. All right, we are here. Are you excited? I'm very excited.
All right, let's get geared up.
Perfect. All right, we've got Alexis with us. She's leading the tour today and I am so excited.
The hostess with the mostest, baby. Absolutely.
This is Captain Brody. He will safely escort you down to the boat. How's it going?
Hey Captain Brody. I promise. Really? Manatees are around a thousand pounds but females can get
up to around 3,000 pounds and 14 feet long and something I found really interesting. Manatees
are legally blind and have thousands of little hairs all over their bodies. These hairs can
detect everything from weather, motion, and vibrations. Not only that, they can even detect
a heartbeat up to eight feet away. So you have to be really careful not to spook them away.
All right, let's do this. Here we go. It's cold. Come on down. I'm gonna go.
It's cold. All right, let's go find some manatees. These guys will often sleep underwater for half of
the day, coming up to surface for air every 20 minutes. Now these guys are super playful in the
way they swim but when they are eating, they take it super seriously as a manatee eats an average of
100 to 200 pounds of seagrasses and weeds each day. The closest relative to a manatee is an
elephant. You'll even notice that their two front flippers resemble that of an elephant's foot.
It's so cool. Can you tell the difference between me and the manatee? I thought you were the manatee.
No way. Oh, is that a fat joke? That's actually a compliment. Manatees have about five percent
body fat. Honestly, I feel like an Olympic athlete. That was amazing, y'all. It was a
manatee-rific experience. That is so corny.
We're gonna warm up here and we'll see you all back at the car. All right, we're back but
remember how the campground water isn't working? We had to find a solution and the guys here said
that we could shower in the back with the staff. So, uh, yeah. What do you say we rinse off? Yeah, definitely.
Come on in. The water's fine.
That was so cold. We are going to warm up and get changed here and then we're heading to
Rainbow Springs where we are camping for the night. Wait till you guys see this water. It is
out of this world. I'll see you there. Let's go.
All right, we want to put all the wet stuff somewhere that it won't get everything else wet so
safety handles it is. I am so excited for dinner and the springs.
All right, campsite 56 which I believe is right over there. Before we do anything, we need to see
if we can get some firewood for a campfire. We need kindling. We need a lighter. Let's go.
Thank you. Workout of the day just to buy some firewood and walk it back to your camp spot.
You holding up okay? Is that too heavy for you? It works.
Fire ready. You ready for dinner? Oh yeah. We have quite the treat in store for you guys.
So up until yesterday, Sarah did not even have a cooler in her car. We went to Walmart last night
and outfitted her with more things that she would need to live in her car. I felt like that was a
cousin duty. So now we can actually have food instead of needing to go out every day. I guess.
And we can use... Go for it. What's that you got there? Utensils and plates and cups. Sweet.
Today we are making my world famous bagged salad. Sarah's favorite. You should get it trademarked.
Honestly, I know. Highly recommend this for big parties especially when you're meeting in-laws.
They're super impressed especially if you whip out the carrots. We'll talk about that later.
All right, most important part. You gotta shake yo booty and yo salads.
Bon appetit ladies and gentlemen. Cheers. Might as well be a Michelin star restaurant
especially with these carrots. Pretty sure we would get A grade ratings
from the department of health. Or arrested.
Sarah, what are you doing? I gave in. Let's sit around the campfire and sing a campfire song.
A c-a-m-p-f-i-r-e-s-o-n-g song. Sing along. To the window. To the wall. Sarah and I were just talking
about how we don't have service here. We didn't really think about downloading anything ahead of
time. We have nothing but ourselves. Like what did people do before electronics and stuff? They enjoyed
each other's company. They played games. So yeah, we've literally just been dancing around the fire
the past 20 minutes just being absolute fools and it's so much fun. Hold up. Holy spirit activate.
To the window. To the wall. To the wall. Looks nice and homey. I set up the back for us. Love that.
Shoe holder. Oh coming around town. That was funny. So Sarah put everything in the front here
leaving the driver's seat open for safety and we'll talk about those in a second.
So you're probably wondering, wow Nikki and Sarah why is there a towel hanging in from your moon
roof? And the answer is because we left the bug screens behind accidentally. So something that's
really important when you live in a car is to have some type of ventilation or cross ventilation
to avoid condensation and things like that. But we improvised and we put a towel over the moon
roof so it could kind of like catch some of the condensation. Some cold air could come in.
Not as optimal as bug screens but you know it's living in a car. It works. Figure it out as you go.
All right we got you your car camping badge of honor. They're like medals but necklaces
and everybody can and you can see everything. You don't have to hold your flashlight anymore.
Oh thank you.
And now your Florida camping badge of honor. Always be yourself unless you can be a manatee.
An Olympic athlete. Five percent body fat. Freaking badass. See you in a second.
Oh thank you. All right let's party. Oh we gotta smack this baby on the ground.
Cutting it close. All right let's go swimming. You guys ready? Ready. Let's go.
Don't forget to like and subscribe. If you want to see more of Sarah make sure you let
her know in the comments and we'll see you all next week. Have a good one.
I said one two three. Take my hand and come with me
because you look so fine and I really want to make you mine.
Said you look so fine yeah I really want to make you mine.
Said you were with another man.
