A back tyre puncture on my last day of riding before reaching Kuala Lumpur. Unbelievable!! Or well, it actually wasn't too strange, because my tyres were almost finished and getting very thin. It was only a tiny piece of metal causing the puncture and if my tyres were in a newer condition, it most likely would not have caused the puncture! It was the first time in 11.000 km to get a puncture, so all in all - not a bad score!
Guess what? I have a puncture
Good morning Internet, it is
8.51 in the morning and welcome to my channel. After I finish this breakfast
I'm gonna have a full day of riding ahead and
it's a very exciting day for me because today I am riding to Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur has always been my
How you say final destination on the first leg of this journey, so don't worry
This is not gonna be the end of my motorbike trip
It's just gonna be the end of the first leg of this route and from Kuala Lumpur
I'm gonna ship my bike to a new destination
So part of the route that I'll be riding to Kuala Lumpur is via a road or route which is called a thousand corners
I'm not riding the entire thousand corners route because that's a circle
But I'm riding about half of it. So still that should be a very nice road
And on the way, I think there's a few nice things to see
So it will take me a full day to to reach Kuala Lumpur
I'm really excited. But yeah
First this and then I'll quickly go
Guess what? I have a puncture. I could feel my back tire going a little bit wobbly so I stopped and
I cannot believe it on my last day
Riding to Kuala Lumpur, I'm getting a puncture. It's unbelievable
But
These nice people are trying to help me out to find a mechanic to see if we can fix the puncture
Can you wait?
Because I go and buy something
I think I have to
I go and find a mechanic
Thank you
I'll wait here. Yes. I was just riding like only maybe a few minutes ago. I noticed that my back tire was
I don't know a little bit wobbly. It was moving a little bit. I'm thinking I just can't be right
So I just stopped and yeah, it's clearly a puncture
The fluid that's coming out that is a type of gel that I got put inside in India
to prevent punctures, which I think
Works pretty well, but yeah, I don't know how bad this puncture is. In theory. I know how to fix a puncture myself
I learned it in Delhi
But the back tire is really quite difficult and I'm actually quite lucky that the puncture happened in a small town
So there are mechanics here
So I'm not gonna struggle here by myself
I'm gonna wait for this man. He's
Checking for a mechanic for me and then see if I can ride it to a workshop
Still, I don't know if if it's wise to ride with the tire like this
Or whether the mechanic is coming here. So he told me to wait here. So I'll wait here
Okay
I don't know who that was
Suddenly a guy on a scooter rocks up and he's saying what is the problem?
I don't know if that was the guy that the other man called
But anyway, he was saying that today everything is closed in Malaysia
But he's now gonna try and find a mechanic for me, so
So I'm now about an hour later and it's already fixed and it would have probably taken me all day to do it and
The cat with the mechanic it was just like pom pom pom and all done. So
lucky I got the
Spare parts lucky that I brought the spare tubes because now it actually really came in handy because he didn't have a tube
So if I wouldn't have that with me, then I would have had a bigger problem than I had now
Anyway, that was my first puncture all done. I can write that on my resume
I'm just gonna continue riding. I think I still have enough time to reach Kuala Lumpur today. So
Let's go
So I'm now on Fraser's Hill, which was a super nice ride to get here. I just had a lunch
And now I'm gonna ride to Kuala Lumpur which
Okay, it depends on which navigation I'm looking at but it will take me an hour and a half or two hours and a half
And that probably depends on traffic in Kuala Lumpur. So I still have quite some
quite a way to go and it's already quarter past three, so I
Better get going before I'm in the evening rush. I'll probably be in the evening rush anyway
Hello, I
am
Finally in Kuala Lumpur. It is quarter to seven in the evening. So it was an extremely long day. I am super tired
Especially riding into Kuala Lumpur with all the traffic. It was really exhausting
but
I'm now at my Airbnb. I couldn't, Basanti didn't fit through the door. So
They they closed this gate. This is welded. So she had to come through
This door and that didn't fit so she's now parked at the neighbor's so
She looks pretty safe over there. I'll show you my room
so
This is my room
Looks pretty nice
then I got a sink and
another sink
Toilet and also the shower all in one very multi-purpose
Tomorrow I'm gonna go to the Royal Enfield workshop and have a very very big service for Basanti
New back tire all that kind of stuff. So stay tuned for the next video
Then I'll show you all the parts that I had to replace after almost 11,000 kilometers
I hope you liked this video, even though I got a puncture and
If you did, please give me a big thumbs up and subscribe down below and then I'll see you in the next video
You
